For me, it was pretty weird. A n00b somewhere (some bob or something) rewiewed my Roses, and I got bad scores. It`s not always a big guy who scares n00bs or other actually pretty good guys. Ehm...for you budy, ill write the article if Dex agrees to, you know, write an article, a full article, by the deadline, then yeah...it would be fun if its really being taken seriously. Second...could you convince someone to peereview the article I wrote or even at the very least ask the judges to leave a paragraph or two about it...Im at the point where I am ripping my hair out trying to get people to give me constructive feedback on my writing, especially suggestions and ideas? Its not the greatest article ever, but i did work a fair bit on it, and I didnt get even a little bit of feedback on it...you know what I mean? I just talked to TKF (which I've probably should have done first) and both ZB and Dexter agreed in IRC to allow ZB to advance to the finals. Is that alright with you? The final round would start this Sunday (May 22) and end June 4. The article would be judged and the winners announced the following day. I'm hoping a two-week writing period might produced better results this time around.

More nagging about reviews

Because it's what I do, man. Actually, the things are a lot better now... although... salamanders, eh?

I guess this is more asking a favour, than anything else - I've noticed you've been spending a lot more time on them, saving as you go, which is probably actually a good thing, but... well, what if you disappear in the middle of one? Now, we'd have no idea what might have happened, so it'll just be this half finished review sitting there and people might get a little annoyed, so if it turns out you've gone and died, would you really want the last thoughts of you here being about how you left a review half-finished in the queue? Seriously, who wants that? I suppose I'm asking, if you're going to spend more than an hour or two on it, could you be a dear and copy it into your userspace and draft there or some such, copy it back when you're done, instead of saving drafts in the main Pee Review queue? That's what JackOfSpades does, and I was thinking it might work rather well for you as well.

Also, it was mucking up with the maintenance, though I think I fixed that. But if you do do it in your userspace, you'll be able to preview them and save without drawing much attention whilst avoiding unnecessary salamanders, for that matter. 1234 ~ 05:54, 21 May 2011

I did the second one for that article recently, I read yours after posting mine and DorkaDorce told me it's funny becausewe both talked about trying not to be too offensive about the Mitchell thing. LoL. Is there a lot of people voting for that award? It seems rather calm at the moment, it would be funny if you won because of my vote! Random comment: Those sentences you cited in the review, they were fairly natural and grammatically correct, just so you know. They may not have been the clearest, or could have used some punctuation shuffling in some cases, but... eh. Not that it's not something to address if the meanings don't get across, but that's another matter. Not featured

That is actually an ugly way to code it, as the z-index in an article only reflects to within the article part itself. Can I suggest that instead you do up an image of the potato and the not featured thing together, and simply replace the lot using {{logo}}? Pup 12:57 22 Jun '11

What you have as code is

{{logo}}
{{logo|image=NotFeatured.png|top=-12px|size=160px}}

That first line gives you the default logo. The second line adds an image in front of that. The image you had actually used a white background, which meant that there was a big white square in front of the logo. I've changed the image to have a transparent background, so you can still see Sophia.

Top determines how high the image is. Having it -12 means that it sit slightly off the screen. Size determines how wide--Funnybony    18:37, Jun 23 18:37, June 23, 2011 (UTC) the image is. Interbrowser issues mean that this has to be limited to 160px to stop it mucking up navigation. If you increase the size it will stay at 160px, if you decrease it it will shrink it slightly. If you remove the size altogether it will try to use the images default size, which is actually freaking huge for what it actually is. Don't do that - it looks really ugly.

Thanks for the Tips regarding Pee Review

I received your message and you are right, I was terse with the Pee Review for the "Caste" article. I guess the idea seemed so great but the execution seemed so off, that I just didn't have the patience at the time to write more. In the future, I will wait to do reviews until I am in the mood and flow to go into greater detail - I don't want to scare any would-be contributors off.

Also, I will take better note of claimed Pee Reviews before I review articles. I just hope people are getting around to the articles they are claiming to review, because the backlog has gotten pretty long!

I love Uncyclopedia and am just trying to do my part, although I am often far from perfect in my efforts. I'll keep striving to improve and maybe, someday, I'll be able to claim I am a model Uncyclopedia "citizen." Uncyclopedia made my life more different

I like your article and think it is ready to feature, negative vote(s) notwithstanding. I think polishing the article would take away from its theme. And I think the "navelism" is what makes the article funny - it is self-reflective to the point of concentrating on the fuzzes in your own navel, which gives it a stream of consciousness and surreal tone. Thanks a million man! When I wrote this...I tried really hard to make it accesible to other people. I think its positive navelism (that is...someone will read it...and infact learn some things about uncyclopedia seeing how I explain what some things mean and make the place seem totally off the wall) and even the most hard core navelism (i.e. I hate chief justice) or Zombie Baron inside joke article, is infact worth featuring because they are still funny, still marginally funny for anyone who has no idea what it means, and more over, people severely over estimate how many new visitors we have and how they are likely to react to things. Its like predicting how many people will go to your birthday party in 10 years and if it will be a sucess or not. Further more...this article never was meant to be about uncyclopedia...its about a guy who doesnt even try to go anywhere in life and yet suceeds and gets shot down once he starts trying. Hey TKF/Iwillkillyou333... Shabi asked me to pass this message around, which I created with his approval. Judging will be held every two weeks, for weeks 1-2, and 3-4. The max score possible for a team to get is 40.83, and the lowest being 2.45. The two weeks, all teams write 2 articles, and at the end of the weeks, whoever we (TKF, Iwillkillyou333 and → L A B O R A T O R I E S) vote to be the two top teams will advance to the finals, which will be held during weeks 3-4.
