- Wait, so do you collaborate with your team? Or do you compete against them? Also, does your article have to be about a summer blockbuster? Because that's how you made it sound. -- 02:25, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
Colaborate. The articles have to be about SUMMER! --ShabiDOO 19:04, July 13, 2011 (UTC)

okay...great...three judges with different levels of experience and different tastes. This is ideal! --ShabiDOO 19:01, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Shabi, stop acting like a tacky gameshow host. This is UNCYCLOPEDIA. Just say, "Great! I'll send you more info on your talk pages!" Sorry if that sounds rude, but I'm in a bad mood :(. Anyway....can I (please) get some more info on this like when and what we will be judging sent to my talk page?
Thanks,

- New rules teams: Tell us what 2 article titles you want to do before the games start. 06:38, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
- However, teams CANNOT discuss content, writing styles or how you will make the article until the first round starts. --ShabiDOO 06:48, July 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Define "article." I'm assuming UnNewses don't count because they're much shorter, but what about other side projects, like UnScripts? ~ 21:15, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

- It can be anything, sir. Anyway, new rules: there are ONLY SIX TEAMS. The top three progress. The top score is 42.83, because the Meaning of Life is 42 (on a serious note, it is funny). As always, the awards will be given by Magicman. 10:51, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Joe, I already spread out the book of information to the other judges, and what you just did makes all my work irrelevant. Thanks. 15:39, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Woah, woah, woah, why is everyone breaking up here? I now allow a fourth team member, plus a seventh team. But I have to increase the rounds to three.
WTF?[edit | edit source]
The Admin message sayz: "The Uncyclopedia Summer Extravaganza!, a free-for-all 7-team tournament, starts next month on August 1st.". Now, look at it again: "The Uncyclopedia Summer Extravaganza!, a free-for-all 7-team tournament, starts next month on August 1st." We only have 6 teams... Sigh...now I'll have to pass out more info to the other judges again...
21:33, July 17, 2011 (UTC)- Aimsplode...seriously, if we get 7 teams, its great. More teams means more fun, more competition. Please, lets just wait until a couple days before the tournament starts...and then we can post the final rules. The more information you send out to people, the more updates you give, the less attention people pays to it. What we need the most is to get as many participants and as teams as possible right now. Focus your enthusiasm and energy towards RECRUITING people. This would be super mega awsome! Seriously. --ShabiDOO 21:37, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Seriously....shut up. I didn't even send out anything: I was being sarcastic. Do you think I would be as stupid to continue posting updates? Besides, for your thought, Joe already said we're only having 6 teams.
- You okay? --ShabiDOO 22:06, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Not really, because everything I say or do to help the cause of the "USE" is either totally rejected, ignored, or blatantly contradicted, usually by you. You're so enthusiastic about recruiting, you missed the fact there can only be six teams, not endless. Besides, all I said to you was just a notification that the admessage had 7 instead of 6, jeez... 22:22, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

- I'd love to! But you should get an admin to put something about this contest up on the site notice. -- 04:10, July 10, 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not a member of any of those usergroups you mentioned. You should make a separate admin team. -- The Zombiebaron 16:02, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
- August 1st... I still have no idea if I have chanches to log in, but if I fail, write the shit without even thinking of me, the colourful traitor. OMG!!! It`s Cat the Colourful, Jesus Christ!!! 06:15 12 July 2011
- Just put yourselves on what ever teams you like. Change the names if you agree on one and put up a small logo if you like as well! --ShabiDOO 19:26, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Maybe you should limit the teams to 2, in order to have enough teams! Mattsnow 00:51, July 18, 2011 (UTC)
- Well...now that we limited it to 6 teams and have one slot filled on each, as theres still 10 days before it starts, and further more since there is a team of three admins, and I dont want to tell those princesses to kick one of theirs off (feel free to do so
and get blocked). Also...people are free to sign up as they like. There is a LOT of mixed personalities and styles on all of those teams. The more varied and mixed the teams the better. --ShabiDOO 17:18, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

RadicalX's Corner?[edit | edit source]
- Are users allowed to use RadicalX's Corner for this competition? -- The Zombiebaron 06:59, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- What the heck. I grant you usage of the Corner, but on these terms only : You must STATE THE USAGE OF THE RADICALXCORNER BY ADDING THIS TO THE END OF EVERY PICTURE TAGLINE (the sentence or two underneath every picture) THAT IS TAKEN FROM THE CORNER: (RadX).
Comply by these rules and you are free to use the corner at your pleasure. If it is found out you disobeyed these rules, automatic disqualification is the action taken.

- Six! Someone else said six! Doesn't this competition have rules or something? --
- Well 6, admin team included! (Meaning now, it is as full as can be :S) Mattsnow 00:35, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- Clearly there is interest in a seventh team... There was talk about increasing the number of teams if there were interest, so why not just add another team? Frankly, I want to see what Lucyfer would write for the tournament! :D -- 06:40 July 20, 2011 (UTC)
- All of you: I will allow this team to be formed, as we just recently changed the format to 7-team. TKF, you cannot join: you're a judge. Lucyfer, here is the format, add your name after the "#":

This tournament[edit | edit source]
Has already been going on far too long. I'm setting a deadline: August 25th. If it's not finished by then, everyone wins. Or at least who's left. --
12:19, August 16, 2011 (UTC)- Um, sorry TKF, Joe and I decide the time limit & dates for this contest, not you...lol....
- That was true back when this was supposed to be a contest, not a marathon. As it stands, this is looking to hold back the start dates of the PLS (which by all rights should have started by now) and The Article Whisperer. So I am saying as an administrator and writer for this site: this competition will end soon. By the 25th, specifically. -- 22:11, August 16, 2011 (UTC)

Even better[edit | edit source]
Round 2 begins Wednesday at 00.01 UTC (01.01 uk, 02.01 west europe) (8pm tuesday ET [new york, toronto]). Seven days to make two articles. The three teams not kicked out (with scores) go on. --ShabiDOO 19:25, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for making that up, Shabi. Now, I officially officialize that statement to officially be the official rules for this contest. Thank you.
- And I'm making it even more expedient and official by declaring that, instead of a whole 7 days, they only have three days to write the articles, to add some actual suspense and incentive to this contest, and also to hopefully get the damn thing done before September. Also I'm leaving for a week without a computer soon so whoever wants to take my judging spot, it's open now. --
- No no no, ignore what TKF is saying here. The whole tournament has already been concieved by variouse writers, the 7 day rule applies. The tournament will be done by the end of August anyways. You cant expect three teams to finish articles in 3 days, when half the teams didint even do 2 in 7 days. Besides, aimsplode officialy agreed with what I said, and hes the organiser TKF is a judge. --ShabiDOO 23:22, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I'm not a judge because just above there I quit. And, no offense to the organizers, but to be called an "organizer" usually implies that there's some sort of organization going on, whereas this entire competition is plodding along indifferently, without deadlines until someone who isn't Aimsplode or JoeNumbers suggests them, and seemingly improvised in every respect. If we give a week to write and a week to judge the next round, we'll finish on exactly the 31st the earliest. This assumes that all the judges judge on time and, god forbid, there isn't a third round. -- 23:43, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Also, there's zero reason why people need seven days to write two articles. It's been proven time and again in the past that prizewinning articles can spring up in no less than half an hour, and collaborations can be put together within a day. Three days is perfectly reasonable and actually motivates contestants to get off their asses. --
- 3 days? I normally write my articles over the span of weeks or months! I don't want to sound negative but if all contests change rule in the twink of an eye while we're right in the middle of it, I'll never participate again. The original ruling said 7 days. Mattsnow 00:24, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
- I think Im going to pull out. No I will. Until its completely clear that this is a 7 day round. --ShabiDOO 00:47, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Wait, since TFK pulled out, he has nothign to do with the tournament anymore, so, 7 day format sticks. So...7 days it is. OLAY! Just have to find a new judge. Aimsplode, look for a new judge please...I guess you have 7 days which shouldnt be too difficult. --ShabiDOO 00:51, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Shabidoo, while we can't make you cooperate (well, we could ban you, but that could be a mite counter-productive), please try to see if from our point of view - this contest has already gone on for weeks at the expense of other contests which had been scheduled for around this time before this one was even considered. While new contests are welcome, some of use have been waiting for the others already, and allowing this one to continue at the same slow rate it's been going at the expense of these others really doesn't help anyone. That said, articles don't take that long to write if folks just focus, and with groups of four, they indeed should go even faster if said groups actually do them. So please, three days for this phase. Finish by the 25th. We need to move on. ~ 01:40, 17 August 2011
- And Mattsnow, normally contests are entirely planned ahead of time - had this one been properly planned out in the first place, it wouldn't be changing in the middle. ~ 01:43, 17 August 2011
- Since it appears, Lyth, that you are interested in this contest. By cooincidence, we are also short one judge. In other words, tag, you're it. Alzo, for compromise, time for article writing will 4 days, not three, not seven. Everyone chill out now and stop talking about it. Otay?!
- How about proclaiming the winner of the 1st round the big winner then, Aimsplode? That would cut a lot of hassle! What do you think? Mattsnow 02:45, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Whatever you guys have to do, do it before that deadline. This had gone too long so we better wrap this up. And Mattsnow, that's not a good idea, no offense---
- So I guess you'll have 2 or 3 stubs to judge. You reply there really stands on a 3 day deadline? What's the date, bro? Mattsnow 07:17, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
- Hmm, this will be interesting... Lyrithya, I would just like to point out that my team effectively has two members instead of four: one open spot, in addition to one person who has apparently decided to sit in the corner while his dates are left looking silly on the dance floor. Not that a three-day deadline bothers me--I'll be glad to get this thing over with. But to whoever judges us, please take all this into consideration when you

- Lyrithya, this text is really unfair as wel. Someone here is cutting the tournament by 4 days, when, infact he is one of the judges that took over a week to get his scores in delaying the well planned tournament in the first place amonst another organiser who was banned while he could have been organising it. Very bizzare and unfair stuff to say!!!!!! --ShabiDOO 13:40, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
