What was your funniest read (laughs per minute)? I think mine was Eminem.

  • I suppose someone had to find that funny. Freemorpheme.gif 19:27, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
New Age Psychology, I think. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 17:55, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
  • no doubt Condoleeza Rice. the page has changed since i first saw it (before registering here) and the condomlizard img has been relegated to the "see also" section, but i don't mind for i trust other users' judgements on this score for they were the ones who created it in the first place. also -- special mention -- the hilarious "moon landing" img (that failed vfp twice)! it's my all time favourite. -- mowgli 19:56, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Final answer?
Final answer. Lock in Handgun. Aaadddaaammm 02:12, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I haven't read many excellent articles in a while, but Dihydrogen monoxide was hilariously ironic -sighn7.png
  • The_GI_Joe-Transformers_War, because I fought that very same war many times, eventually losing pretty much all of the GI forces' weapons, backpacks and whatnot and that keystone piece that holds the Constructicon Devastator's legs on in the process. Perhaps I've said too much (but if anyone finds that piece, I'd like it back).--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:37, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I actually found a part of the "revised" version of Euroipods funny (mainly because I'm about a five-minute walk from the HKN donut stand myself), but my favorite article overall would have to be Neuroipods, the injoke that isn't. —Hinoa talk.kun 18:13, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • David's voice chat one, which I can't be bothered to find the link to right now. That was the one that made me laugh loudest and longest -- sannse (talk) 11:39, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Final Fantasy I, says I. The spells alone are hilarious! --L 15:25, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Pretty much anything that has been featured is quite funny. Our biggest increase in traffic was due to this really funny article, which also helped keep me here... You really should read it, especially if you're a geek. Dawg.gif » Brig Sir Dawg | t | v | c » 23:31, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Quantum_Economics is one of my favorite --Nytrospawn 02:27, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
  • I can't remember all that made me actually laugh, but "Paul is dead" hoax is definitely one of them, but the most recent is all the dipshit edits some "58" IP made to Horsefly. I have a personally extended edition at my user page which I was going to put up for Unbooks as their first "gothic novel", but seeing what strong feelings it incurs, probably not. Mr. Briggs Inc. 11:44, 20 September 2006 (UTC) Eh?
I do admit I'm biased, but I can recognise Singaporean handwriting when I see one... and I don't want Singaporeans to be known as vandals. (or at least, virtual ones anyway. Our physical vandal rules are strict enough as it is) --Quira 11:47, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

i started this stupid poll (and so many other things) and i'm unashamed -- mowgli 20:44, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Against this forum is essentially just one user's opinion. VFH is a bunch of user's opinions. If your favourite page hasn't run the VFH gauntlet, by all means, nominate it.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:50, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
    • my favourite page has been refused VFH, LOL (for example 9/11_(video_game)). but, more seriously, i was thinking more in terms of "notable articles" (that, i've just realized!! isn't directly linked to the "main" page - it's a sub-category appearing within the "featured content" link on the main page -- which, ironically, expands to "best of uncyclopedia" upon clicking ??!!??) -- mowgli 21:13, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
      • Was that a sentence? Notable articles, that anybody can add to a page of notable articles, aren't notable. VFH, as mob rule, is simple and for the most part, it works.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 21:27, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

it was a sentence. but an awfully bad one like this one. i was being a little facetious yesterday; but now that i think of it:

  1. i understand we use featured content to link to Uncyclopedia:Best_of because uncyc.'s main page mimics wikip.'s main page in its entirety.
  2. wikip.'s main page links only to featured content. someone in his infinite wisdom decided to link ours to a list of 3 categories: featured, quasi-featured & notable. the last of these, as you know, can be edited by any user. but there is a slight contradiction here; namely that uncyc. does not believe that featured articles are necessarily its best ones (thus the notable category).
  3. my poll/musings are redundant. "notable" = "funniest" = "notable" and the feature that i want is already provided in the main page. -- mowgli 05:19, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

um, just to clarify further, i think what i'm also trying to say is that notable should be unambiguously delinked from featured content. The two are mutually exclusive categories (obviously all that's been featured is already notable) but placing them on the same page or treating them at par (or quasi treating them at par, ok?), is diluting the importance of a "featured" article (which has persevered to get where it is). so, i'm not necessarily in disagreement with you or the VFH/VFP process. i think i'll stop trying to explain now. -- mowgli 05:48, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I don't think they should be on the same page either. I also agree with the thing you said about taking back the other thing you said.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 06:01, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

let's get anal (simultaneously titled lets get this page elongated)

what the hell is QUASI featured? what the hell is a quasi-featured article? what is Category:Quasi-Featured? and what is grue ate up the featured component of this article and left it quasi featured? (maybe i made the last one up one up; i don't remember). do you know you can add the QFH template wherever you wish. go ahead, try it. there are two few admins to go around deleting them.

if quasi featured is a spoof of featured, then it belongs in Uncyclopedia alright but not in featured content. neither quasi featured nor notable are featured content. spoof the content of the main page but not the damn template!! maybe linking featured content to random article is spoofier, no?

this fat spoofy is not going to vote in UN:VFH or UN:VFP until featured content points to only featured articles. ok we now vote.

Quasi-featured pages are ones that didn't hit whatever the magic number is to make it to featured (picture a page that's on VFH and gets to 14 and just stops).--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 18:03, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
dude, watch this (also called magic)

Quasi-Featured Article (22 August 2024)

This article was nominated to become a featured article; however, due to several votes being devoured by an Utraean, it didn't make the cut ({{{2}}}). Don't let this happen again! For just pennies a day, you can prevent another travesty of this nature, or vote for other articles at Uncyclopedia:VFH.
i dare an admin to remove this. i'm shocked you made it past VFH without realizing this. quasi featured = notable = funniest = go back to beginning ---- mowgli 19:07, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Sure, you could spam an unworthy page with a template that indicates that the page is better than it is, but you wouldn't. I think you'll find that most templates can be misused like that; the honour system only works if people follow it (at least you'd have to go through the trouble to mess with the "featured content" page too...)--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:19, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
no siree! oh, um, to further clarify, there is no magic number. that's your imagination in overdrive. kindly read the fine print in this page again - -- mowgli 19:23, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
So you're saying that I've been making shit up? I'd be offended if I didn't know, deep down inside, that you're correct in that assumption. Still, in my head, my explanation stands <sticks out tongue>, as it's a good explanation just looking for a place to rest.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:43, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Should quasi featured & notable be displayed here

edit. the question has been rephrased (read 2nd comment). only 1 no vote was made till the point of this edit and it will be considered as a yes vote in the final tally. trust me on this one. (the score till the point of this edit was:

  • yes:0%; no: 100%). -- mowgli 16:39, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Mowgli, you've obviously gone mad. Go get some air. It's okay, we'll wait. "Yes" to Quasi, "No" to Notable; which isn't an option in your poll; a poll which, like you, is also obviously quite mad.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 18:07, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
