To ignore those and complain about this or any article now purely on its subject matter is foolish. Imagine if the subject matter wasn't a ex failure of a troll, but, say, asperger's syndrome. The people are whored-to and easily swayed. And with the relationship of fors to againsts, its hardly a "people have spoken" consensus. Sorry, but out of context and not knowing the incident, its neither accessible nor particularly funny. There is satire, and then there is a thinly-veiled vanity article fashioned after pinpoint incidents that non-regulars neither know nor care about. Which category would this fall under?

Thinker is a great contributor and one of the best writers that I've ever seen on the site. He's come close to leaving before, and that's the very last thing I want to happen again. He's entitled to his opinion, and I'm entitled to mine, and you're entitled to yours, but the article was still featured. Still though, despite the fact some people don't like everything that gets featured, it still gets featured, and we don't need to cause excess drama about it. I've voted against many a feature in my lifetime. I didn't find Grumpikins funny at all, but I deal with it. I limit my opinions to the voting page, and if everyone disagrees with me and it gets featured, I deal with it. And to play Devil's Advocate (sorry Thinkerer), I think IRAQATTACK was hardly a case of whoring. It did stir up controversy, but it still got almost 20 votes against and almost 40 for. A lot of the For votes were, additionally, newbies and IPs, who are unswayed by site/user bias and the WP:DENY.
