Help with Language, and the Grammar Thereof

I made Das Love Boot but, as I don't speak German I ended up using the awesome interwebbing might of Freetranslation.com to turn english into mangled german (germish?). After I put it on VFH it was soundly lambasted by one voter who said the translation, which I knew was abysmal, was abysmal. He also voted Strong Against as he found it to be the opposite of funny.

I can't help with the not-funny bit, but Mordillo pointed me in your direction for real human translating from english into a form of german that people can understand.

Some of the translation is deliberately different, like the germish title for "8 is enough" and the "long episode title". Hopefully they're close enough that you can understand whatever it was that I was trying to say ("8"'s translation should be "Eight is a sufficient number actors for a comedy of the sitcom genre" and the "long ep. title" should be "Adorable kittens".

Hi Severian! I'm Some user - you might remember me from such motion picture classics as One Fell Out of the User's Chest and Doktarree! Anyway, I had a look at Assburger's syndrome a minute ago and I must say it's pretty good! It would fit in better with the rest of the Unpsychlopedia stuff if it had more about wikis in it, and it should be listed under "Behavioral Disorders" in any case, but I've no objection to you putting it in there, FWIW. And actually, what would be really cool would be if youo could replace "Wikiterrorism," which doesn't fit in there at all, but not have User:Mhaille notice you doing it. The problem I have with this article, other than the title is incorrectly formatted, is that it's too close to the truth. Euro English

European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy.

The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

It's just too, "Look at me!". Remember the kid in school who would always pop up his hand when a question was asked, just to show how great he was? Self noms remind me of that.
