I think Ataturk was his grandfather on his mum's side, so the resemblence is uncanny, as is his lookalike in the War on Drugs article, where the photo first resided, yes. The jokes on the page were best in the heat of the aftermath of the event, and as time goes by they lose their immediancy. It's one of those "you had to be there" articles, and this long after the game it no longer works like it did the next day. All good writers have used the disembowelment before a cheering crowd of thousands of people who were your biggest fans just an hour before.
