Forum:Conservation Week, kiddies!!!
All right. After two people asked about Conservation Week, I figured I'd make a forum about it. Here's how it works: It started today. Did you know that? Cause I forgot. Don't worry, though. Conservation Week is actually two weeks long. What you do is, you try to rewrite as many shit pages as possible in this short period of time. Making pages into A wizard did it-style does not constitute as a rewrite, though. Got it, Socky? You gotta put effort into it. Now then, I guess Conservation Week is officially... ON!!! Getting to rewriting, bitches! I'll be checking at the end to see if your rewrite falls into what I consider a rewrite. Yes, expanding a page a considerable amount also constitutes a rewrite in my book.
Now, can I get some admin with them fancy editing powers to edit the main page and throw up the usual "Conservation Week is on!" template or whatever up? MegaPleb • Dexter111344 • Complain here 19:41, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

- On Conservation Week under point two, it says "To help count toward your reward, you need to put your name and the articles that you rewrite over the course of two-week period."--where do people put their names? It looks like something's missing from that sentence, unless I'm missing something. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 20:04, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Wasn't there a big schtick or something last CW about it starting right after PLS, when, in fact, it should have started a week after PLS because the PLS winners template has to be up X amount of time before the CW template can take its place? Or something? —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 03:54, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
- Something like that. If memory serves, the winners get some time to bask in the light of their collective glory. It's really quite something to see, if you happen to be nearby. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:04, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
- So Conservation Week hasn't started yet, right? Also, why is it called Conversation Week when you don't conserve what's there but rip it up and re-create it, and why is it called a week when it's two weeks? Discuss. - So Conservation Week hasn't started yet, right? (In case people missed this real question in the midst of my silly crap above). I think it would be good to let the PLS winners show off for a bit, then begin this with a public notice on the Main Page so people know it's happening. I only knew about it because I stumbled over this somehow. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 17:10, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
- It has begun. Pretty sure I said that in my first paragraph way up there. MegaPleb • Dexter111344 • Complain here 19:23, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Typically we do give the PLS winners a little time to bask in their glory before we remove the template from the main page. I recall we had the same issue last time and then we pushed the CW to start a week after the PLS was officially over. Shall we do the same this time? ~ 19:56, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
- My opinion is a strong yes. They deserve their time in the sunshine. Then we'll bury them. And Dexter, please read the previous discussion in this section before you try to make an ass out of me again. I'm perfectly capable of making an ass of myself. I've had years of practice. Conservative Week
I misread it, I thought it was Conservative Week in which shitty articles with a liberal viewpoint are rewritten to have a conservative viewpoint. I would like to state that a Libertarian Week would actually be better. Then I can write like Penn and Teller and put a goatee on each article. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 16:57, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Then you can write about how you don't accept global warming because you don't like Al Gore? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:00, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
- You're missing the point. He could put a goatee on every article! - T.L.B. WotM, UotM, FPrize, AotM, ANotM, PLS, UN:HS, GUN 21:38, Oct 28
Rename plox
To Conservation Fortnight. Or Conservation Two-Week Period. --EMC [TALK] 23:52 Oct 28 2009

Fuck it.
On Monday, an admin needs to add the CW template to the main page. Also, CW is extended a week. Dicks. And PLS winners, quit being pretentious, attention-craving fucks. And Guildy, spell-check suggests spelling your name as Liechtenstein, Buckminsterfullerene, Wittgenstein, or Frankenstein. Isn't that great? Okay
Now it's Conservation Week. Let's get out there and do some conservin'. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:12, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
- I know nothing about conservation week, but when Dexter started this topic I decided to start re-writing Street Fighter as User:POTR/Street Fighter. I've done my first draft of the rewrite and had it reviewed by Chief. I have no idea what I get for actually rewriting, but does this count given that I did this rewrite purely because Dexter couldn't stop himself going off prematurely? Pup
