ETSU
What was wrong with the article? Rev joshua 03:15, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- The reason I deleted your article was because it violated the Vanity Polocies of Uncyclopedia. --The Zombiebaron 03:17, 1 February
2007 (UTC)
- I don't think that article would be appropriate for anything other than a parody/satire encyclopedia, it's a relatively known university and the article was largely a satire of the Wikipedia entry. How is that a violation of the policy? The spirit of that seems to be in the same spirit as the Wikipedia policy, which is to avoid agents of the entry's subject using the encyclopedia for advertising or promotional purposes. Also, wouldn't it be reasonable to tag it for speedy deletion and see if anyone else has any opinions on it? Rev joshua 03:26, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- At Uncyclopedia we have a different vanity policy (which I assume you have read). It is in place not only so that people won't advertise, but also so that the literaly thousands of articles that state something along the lines of "Someone I know sucks", will get deleted. That is what your article is. Vanity. It is full of jokes that would probably make the person in the dorm next to you (if you go to ETSU, and live in a dorm, as I assume) would find funny, but the rest of the internet does not. If you can create an article that the internet finds funny about ETSU, then it can stay. --The Zombiebaron 03:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Also, I know humor is a personal thing, so feel free to ask anouther sysop about this. --The Zombiebaron 03:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- To clarify, I dropped out of ETSU four years ago. Yes, the article would be funny to other ETSU students, but the article also relies heavily on the stereotype/gospel truth that Southerners are stupid and the universal experience of going to a badly-run public school more interested in spending money they don't have on athletics than academics. You wouldn't actually have to attend ETSU to get that. Also, I'd think a 90-year old state university with a population of 12,000+ students might have a slightly broader appeal than "someone I know," making it less a violation of the spirit of the vanity policy than a violation of the letter. And we might know if the Internet finds the article funny if it was left up for more than, say, five minutes. Rev joshua 03:45, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- As a ETSU drop out, your page is vanity to the letter. Also, not everyone has been to a "badly-run public school". I for instance did not attend any such instutution. --The Zombiebaron 15:46, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have placed a VNRV template on it. It will be deleted in 7 days, unless you remove the vanity-style-comantary, and the slander of the members of Fraternities and Sororoties. --The Zombiebaron 15:51, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Jawarlalal Nehru
Hey dude, why exactly did you tag my Nehru article? I know its pretty short, but I was hoping people with more creativity and more time on their hands than I would make it longer and funnier.--24.125.42.37 02:46, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- I tagged it because it is random, that is, it makes no sense and is to far from the truth to be funny. No one will make it better for you, because not only is Jawarlala not a real person (and hence there are no real facts to draw humor from), but also there are no clear paths to funny that can be drawn from the present article. Maybe HTBFANJS will help you write your article. --The Zombiebaron 02:59, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Necrophilia
You tagged an article I wrote, Necrophilia, as having No Redeeming Value... I'm just curious as to what exactly it is you thought was wrong with it. I've had several other people look at it and they all thought it was a good chuckle, so, I'm curious to see what your apparent dislike is. -Painezor 23:10, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- It makes no sense. While I do have respect for surreal humor, "your" acticle is a rambling story about a guy named Phil. First make as coherant story, and then layer the jokes on. Also, the coherent story should be inherantly funny. Maybe reading HTBFANJS will help too. --The Zombiebaron 23:21, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think you may have missed the jokes in the article entirely. Also, what's the deal with putting "your" in quotes like that? Are you implying I'm plagarising? I don't like the fact that you're implying I'm just being stupid, if several other people found humor in the article whilst you didn't, does that mean the problem is with the article? Different people have different senses of humor, but just because one person doesn't get it, it doesn't mean that the article has no redeeming value. The joke about "Phil" is just a play on words, necro*phil*ia, *phil*anthropists, It doesn't matter what his name was, it's all just part of an ongoing joke. -Painezor 23:30, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- I will address your points one by one.
- 1) "Your": This is a wiki, and hence you do not have ownership over any article or picture. It is "our" article, but for simplicity, I said "your". I doubt you plagerised it, because I checked.
- 2) I never said you were stupid. In fact, due to your ability to find and post on my talk page you are smarter then the average user.
- 3) If you feel I am in the wrong, go ask anouther admin for their opinion. If you want an active admin, I suggest the admins whose names appear in amongst the other users on this page.
- 4) I only mentioned Phil's name to show I had read the article. I don't care what you name your character.
- 5) UnBooks may be a better place for your article. --The Zombiebaron 23:37, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- And in return, I will address your points in a somewhat sporadic manner.
- 2) Linking to that "Not just stupid" page (which I read) didn't make it seem that way, and after reading that page my stance remains unchanged, because of this reason:: The article is about a cult who are necrophiliacs, and they take part in what is defined in the dictionary as necrophiliacs, it is not patent nonsense, it is a slant on necrophilia.
- 3) No need for that, as another admin already removed the ICU tag, without me saying anything to him/her.
- 5) Why would Necrophilia be better placed on unbooks when Christianity and Judaism both have articles in Mainspace? -Painezor 23:58, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't name that page, its a shame if the name offended you. Also, UnBooks is a place for stories, such as yours. Information, styled in a Wikipediatic manner goes in the Mainspace. --The Zombiebaron 00:29, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, looking at it, only the first two sections are a story, and even that is written in an encyclopedic manner (the history of necrophilia) and the rest is background etc, fitting with the religion-slant of the article. I don't know if it's been improved since the above comments were made, but anyway, I don't think they're true for the article as it currently stands. While it's not the greatest article in Uncyclopedia, it's pretty damn good for a first try. -- 00:43, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Fine...whatever...if its 3 against 1 I'll just give up and try to help the article out... --The Zombiebaron 03:00, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Golden Path
Hi. I noticed an article you tagged as being in need of work, Golden Path, and changed it from a 1 sentence article to a 3 paragraph article as well as adding an image and I was hoping that you would allow me to remove the tag saying that the article should be edited within 7 days. You can respond here or on my talk page.
Thank you.

Pythagorean Theorem
Hey, I noticed you put the ICU template on my Pythagorean Theorem article. That's cool with me.
Now, I'm new to Uncyclopedia, and I'm looking for some guidance. What would you do specifically to change that article to make it better?
Any comments would be appreciated, and thanks for the input.
Realdeal 55 03:40, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Basically, you just explain something your math teacher taught you. With almost no jokes. Its not funny. At all. So yah, how about adding jokes? If you need help read HTBFANJS. --The Zombiebaron 03:43, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree with above comment. Nice info on Pythagorean Theorem, but no very humor. Also, randomly saying Fuck does not mean we will laugh our heads off, you know. Like I said before, nice info, but try to mess with the info a bit in a funny fassion so as to make the reader laugh.
General Tso's Chicken 03:51, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, guys. Looks like it's back to the cutting room floor. Yeah, you're both right. In hindsight, it was pretty dry. Like, very dry. So I'll try again. In all honesty, it can only get better, right...? Right? : P
I had one of those really boring days, today. Maybe I'll be inspired when I get back into math class next semester (which starts tomorrow).
I'm keeping the lead section, though. I was happy with that.
Thanks again for giving me a slap to read it again. : P

Geece
I'm a bit bewildered as to why you would ICU the Geece article -- with no description as to why. It's not short, it's not a dead-end, and I certainly don't think it's unfunny (perhaps we could get more input). Could you clarify?
Also, all of the HTML stuff you've stuck in this page makes it render wrong in Konqueror, to the point where you can't even get to the "edit" button any more. I had to switch to Mozilla to post this comment. -- 129.255.93.180 21:48, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Acctaully, the ICU template on Greece pointed out how "random lies are worse then stuff that makes more sense", however, it is much better now. --The Zombiebaron 00:11, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Much better, meaning that I may remove the tag? :) -- 129.255.93.180 00:30, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

HowTo:Cut Your Own Head Off With a Chainsaw
Hi Zombiebaron - you ICUed this article which has since gotten massive support (well, two of us) on its Talk Page. It made me laugh lots when I read it, although possibly just because I am a sick, twisted freak of a human being. But could you possibly reconsider, or let us change it to VFD? --Whhhy?Whut?How? *Back from the dead* 14:08, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Its to short. I mean really...more content or something. --The Zombiebaron 18:08, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm... I suspect more content will kill rather than cure, but I shall think about it. Mmm... chainsaw... --Whhhy?Whut?How? *Back from the dead* 19:14, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, however, as it is the article is just a punch line (with a sentence as build up). The problem with such articles is that you can't add anything to them. However, you have a couple of days before it is up for deletion. --The Zombiebaron 20:32, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

If you tell me, we could come to some kind of agreement, as we/I here at Uncyclopedia really like having new users who contribute around the site. Anyway, I only ban IP's and Users who deserve banning. If that IP account is clean, it will not be banned, as with this one. --The Zombiebaron 02:53, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Just trying to be funny. Seriously, need help with the Roach Huffing article. Got a hell of a welcome message on here. 65.163.112.194 09:27, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- You may want to glance there. Also, the reason your page has an {{ICU}} is because not only is it a rehash of an old joke, but the Kitten Huffing joke is uniquie, and whenever it is copied it just comes across as a terrible attempt at humor. That coupled with a link to Chuck Norris, and the blending of an original joke (Kitten Huffing) and a more modern spin-off (article huffing) makes it really confusing to read. However if you can find a way to make it better, the {{ICU}} will be removed. --The Zombiebaron 09:32, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

What do you think is wrong with the story?--(&(Inter)&)Tyr3 08:36, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- If you read the template I put on that page before you came here, you would already know what I think is wrong with it. It is not "encyclopedic" in format, or in content. Also, stories go in UnBooks. --The Zombiebaron 08:38, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- You obivously don't know what the word encyclopedic means. It comes from the Greek words ἐγκúκλιος παιδεí, which mean "total [or general] education." Not as if that matters, because — and correct me if I'm wrong — this site is supposed to be a parody of reality. Don't tell me that you don't understand sur-realism. As for the template, why don't you think for yourself and tell me what you think? Also: how am I supposed to neatly define concepts that are a rejection of what exists?—(&(Inter)&)Tyr3 08:53, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Uncyclopedia is a spoof of Wikipedia. If your article can survive there its OK for here. For the record, I too think UnBooks is a more suitable home for it. -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- "Ohhh look at me, I probably went to University or something and feel that by talking about fancy things like "Greek" I can get people to do what I want", is what you pretty much just said. "Encyclopedic" is DEFINED ON THAT TEMPLATE. In the main part of Uncyclopedia we write articles. You wrote a "story". I can move it to UnBooks for you, but other then that, you'll have to make it into a real article instead of just a story in 7 days or it gets deleted. --The Zombiebaron 09:00, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see the word encyclopedic on that template . . . Anyway, I don't think it's either an article (i.e., essay) or a story. Also, I'd be happy to debate with you what the opposite of Wikipedia is if you'd stop changing the subject.—(&(Inter)&)Tyr3 09:09, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- "What do you think is wrong with the story" - You stated it was a story. " I don't think it's...a story." - You stated it was not a story. I used a templated called "{{ICU|~~~~~|sub=encyclopedic}}", which contains the word "encyclopedic" in the template name. I have been telling you for the past many minutes that your article is a story and belongs in UnBooks. You however, have brought up Greek, surrealism, the fact that you belive I don't think for myself all in one post. It is obvious that you are angry about my placing of an {{ICU}} on your article, but I will take it off when A Breath of Heaven is either an article, or in UnBooks. This is not a discussion about what Wikipedia is not, this is a disscussion about what Uncyclopedia is. --The Zombiebaron 09:15, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Not as if that matters, because — and correct me if I'm wrong — this site is supposed to be a parody of reality.

Can you remove the articles after you delete them? Thanks. goshzillacorrespondence 03:56, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- I could. However, that would require work on my part, as the VFD voting is not deleted but archived. There are admins who do this kind of thing already, and do a much better job then I would. So I leave the task to them. --The Zombiebaron 15:49, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Award
You are doing a great job as an admin. For that, I give you an award.

Don't worry, I'm not evil, I just do this as a publicity stunt. |
Keep up the good work. -- 01:58, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- ...This is called "sucking up to the new admin because he still remebers what it was like last week when he wasn't an admin", right? Well...thanks... :) --The Zombiebaron 02:00, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Braydie thanks you for supporting him to become admin. I would have done this sooner, but admins are supposed to be lazy. There is no personalised message either. |

HowTo:Block the right person!
I just got done with dealing with someone you blocked in error (68.100.162.73 (Talk • Contribs (del) • Block (rem-lst-all) • Whois • City • Proxy? • WP Edits )). The only edit to Bill Cosby he made was after the article was blanked. The IP address actually responsible for the blanking was 206.110.66.81 (Talk • Contribs (del) • Block (rem-lst-all) • Whois • City • Proxy? • WP Edits ), who wasn't blocked until I just went and did it. Please to be blocking the right person next time, or I'll be of the cutting head of you off. Thanks. —Hinoa talk.kun 00:04, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oh crap. I'm ever so sad, because I thought I was doing the right thing...it won't happen again sir... --The Zombiebaron 00:39, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Jarhead
I noticed that this was on the NRV maintenace, I'm not sure what is going on with this as it is far to old for it to be ICUed, but because it's your article I thought I would check it out here first. Thanks. —Braydie at 17:39, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, blast from the past. I say VFD it if you want it gone. But yah...I don't really care much for my articles, and that on in particular is crap. --The Zombiebaron 21:38, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Heh, I think that's first time that I've heard "Yeah, I don't care if my article gets deleted". I think I'm going to leave it to see what happens in the natural course of events. —Braydie at 21:43, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- That was always my plan: Write the stuff that makes it past the New Page Patrol, and then never edit it so the only people who find it either found it through my page, or through one of the five articles which link to it. --The Zombiebaron 21:46, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Normal
I've looked it over several times and read the vanity policies as well, and I still don't understand why it was marked for vanity. I almost feel like this place is out to shut down any article I make and you guys just needed something to close the door on my article. I know I sound paranoid, I've been watching the X files all day, go figure, but what it comes down to is, why was Normal marked for vanity? – Preceding unsigned comment added by PhantomBPR (talk • contribs)
- Okay. So I agree, its not as blatantly vanity as they come. However, I probably should have marked it with a {{ICU}}. Its just that it is a really random humor, very much like most vanity pages. It looks like you wrote this article with a buch of firends whilst in a coffee shop, and then came home and typed it in. The final straw was the pictures. I have replaced the VNRV with a more apropriate template. --The Zombiebaron 03:48, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

- It acctually just needs one more vote to keep it before I can take it off...but I expect that to happen shortly. --The Zombiebaron 19:27, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
