Welcome![edit source]

Hello, Mnidaydwisww, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for people like you:

If you read anything at all, make it the above three links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig.png) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Mnidaydwisww/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!  -- The Zombiebaron 21:49, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

We shot the hole-in-one, but you were the caddy![edit source]

It appears that you voted for Mini-golf, which ended up getting featured. Myself and Matthew Snowman would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts (well... maybe somewhere around the middle, but you get what I mean) for carrying the club all the way to the front page. Hope your career as a caddy is long and prosperous. Thanks again. --Wanna see a magic trick? 02:59, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

Colorless green ideas sleep furiously[edit source]

You voted for Colorless green ideas sleep furiously on VFH. Maybe now us ideas will be a little less furious.

Salutations, and other complications[edit source]

“Who died?”

~ Oscar Wilde, regarding this template

Felicitations

It is apparently de rigueur to spam a user's talk page with templates, if that user has voted for your article on VFH, or has other-services render'd. As you have apparently done something of this sort, here is your reward: a plain, black box with white lettering, thanking you in a generic fashion for what you have done.

(Signed) Bizzeebeever

P.S. Yes, your suspicions are correct, this template is utterly unoriginal.

What? — Capitalis quadrata Y.SVG (talk) (contributions) 19:15, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
You voeted for me on VFH. Thank you. (Gosh, I guess I need to make that template clearer.) ⇒»Biz E.B. Ver Icons-flag-us.png (gabble) 23:53, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
You could have just done it like Xamralco did it, just saying thank you and adding a picture — Capitalis quadrata Y.SVG (talk) (contributions) 23:59, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
I...well...*sigh*...
Urrrrrgh! You voted for HowTo:Eat sand on VFH! As a reward, I'll let you watch me make my stupendous pecs dance, bitch!
Happy? ⇒»Biz E.B. Ver Icons-flag-us.png (gabble) 00:12, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Well, I didn't like, want to make you do it, it was just a suggestion for future. — Capitalis quadrata Y.SVG (talk) (contributions) 00:15, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

AAN[edit source]

Are you looking to be adopted or is there someone I should adopt? Not too sure! In anycase, there is an opening. --ShabiDOO 00:11, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Consider yourself adopted. I am devising a five year plan. Each day will be a grueling marathon of writing, reviewing, repenting, restarting and remaking yourself as a commedy writer. Or...we could...just...do stuff. I dunno. What do you prefer? --ShabiDOO 00:27, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Okay...cool. Lesson number one...we usually keep a conversation on just one page. For example...this conversation has happened on both of our pages. So...I also did what we shouldn't do. Shame on me. Its nice to have one conversation on just one page...so that there is no confusion and so that other people can add their helpful or unhelpful comments any time. That is...if you want the conversation to be helpful. So...lets stick to your user page :) --ShabiDOO 01:03, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
I took a look at your edit history. It doesn't seem like you've hit up the Votes for Highlight recently. Maybe you aren't interested...but its a good place to see the stuff thats comming out now...and what other people think about it. I'd suggest reading some or all of the articles and voting as your heart (if you have one) says. If you choose to vote against an article,¡ or abstain (not vote for or against) try to give a constructive and helpful reason why (trashing someones work is a really asshole thing to do...even if it is bad...so I would seriously suggest keeping all your criticism as a constructive kind). And of course, only vote for an article if you like it...not to make people happy or hope they vote for you later, unless you are that kind of whory person, in which case its your perogative. --ShabiDOO 01:02, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Dont forget to leave a reason why if you abstain from a vote on VFH (and if you vote against). --ShabiDOO 01:11, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Hi. Ready for #2 — Capitalis quadrata Y.SVG (talk) (contributions) 01:24, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Hahaha. Leson 2 depends on what you are really doing here. Do you want to write? Fix up some old articles? Patrol the site and revert "bad faith" edits (grafiti, blanking pages, stuff)?, are you any good at making images? --ShabiDOO 02:13, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
Patrol — Capitalis quadrata Y.SVG (talk) (contributions) 02:14, September 5, 2011 (UTC)
If you are interested in Patrol...then I'll hand you over to Lollipop for now :) He's a funny and nice guy and he does a lot of that. I almost never do. Write me any time on my talk page when you feel like doing other stuff (writing articles or editing old ones). ;) --ShabiDOO 02:17, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Pee review[edit source]

Hey hey. I just saw that you left a pee review on Magic mans talk page. I looked at it. Its a good first start (and by that i mean it was constructive criticism). However, its quite short. In a pee review...an author isn't looking to hear that the article is GOOD or BAD but to have an analysis of the article in general. That means...whats funny, whats not, how is the humour over all, how could it be funnier? And thats the humour section alone. Try expanding on each of the sections you have already written. As for the concept...is there a concept? is it clear? what do you think the author is trying to say? how could it be improved? images...do you like the images? do you like the captions? are they in the right place? should he find new ones? suggestions? as for prose and formatting: I personally do it a little differently, but in general here you comment on the style of writing, grammar, how its divided into sections, spelling mystakes etc... And then the miscelanious...do whatever you want...it can be funny. Basically you should have atleast a paragraph in each section. I often have 5 paragraphs or more in the humour sections. If you don't feel ready yet to write that much...wait until you've read a few more pee reviews and until youve written an article or two. Let me know if you get everything Im saying here or if you have any more questions! --ShabiDOO 02:30, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Patrolling[edit source]

Okay Mnidaydwisww. I saw your user page. Nice job. Its obvious you have been (or still are) a member of some other wiki. Anyhoo...since Lollipop isn't really giving you any helpful advice (which isn't his normal way of acting...or maybe it is...i dunno). Lets figure out patrolling together!

Vandals and some users like to vandalize pages for various motivations. Im sure you probably know this. There are different kinds...the ones I know about are:

  • Blanking...where the user deletes every byte from the page leaving it blank
  • Section blanking....where just a section is blanked or a part of the article.
  • Profanity...someone will add a cheap or stupid joke using vulgar words or references or insulting someone...in a way...thats childish and not funny to anyone except them.
  • Light changes...these are subtle. Its happened a few times to my own pages (I do keep an eye on the pages I edit of course) The author will make one change or so thats helpful (like a spelling change) and then move a word or two in another section that seems harmless...but infact, the set up the words to spell out something stupid or what not.
  • Vanity vandalism...someone adds something to the article that appears funny or usefull, but when reading it...its clear that the author only cares to make fun of someone they know...or show how smart or cool they are. Its almost never funny for anyone else.

Im sure there are more kinds...these are the ones I know.

If you want to go patroling...I guess you can check out "recent changes" you'll see the tab on the left menu. You can skim through those and check to see anything you see thats suspicious. I guess regular users (people who are fairly active on the site) you can skip over. I'd check out what IPs do as well. If an edit is blatant vandalism...then click on the "history" tab and click on "undo" revision. In the edit summary...give a reason for. If the vandalism is totaly obvious and stupid...then go to Uncyclopedia:Ban Patrol and list the name of the user. An admin will look into it and possibly ban the guy.

If you find that someone created an article that is totaly stupid...but I mean...really super stupid. If the article is written by someone saying their friend is a loser or their school sucks or someone they know is a fag or something that is long and serious and in NO WAY at all funny. Then go to Uncyclopedia:QuickVFD and list the name of the article. An admin will decide. I guess in a lot of causes if an article is good enough to delete, the user should also be put on ban patrol...but not all cases either. Some are new users and they think they are being funny. Let the admin decide how to deal with these cases.

I guess once youve done that for a bit (and feel free to ask other users who use that page for more advice) then you could get the rollover which is a tool I believe that lets you automatically undo vandalism. You could chat with User:Frosty as well for other tips, I think does ban patrol as well.

If this isn't your thing and / or you are interested in other things (like editing and writing articles, making all sorts of problems for people on the forums, and anything else any time ... let me know on my talk page! If you have any questions about any of this...let me know here on your talk page!

If you don't know how to train a Pakistani elephant how to piss on a house cat without killing it...then you wouldn't make a very good Pakistani elephant trainer! --ShabiDOO 05:29, September 10, 2011 (UTC)

Your signature[edit source]

Hi, please close all (html) tags in your signature; otherwise they affect the rest of the page as well as your sig, and that's not proper use of a signature. This means no open span tags at the end; if you wish to style your timestamp, either include it within the template itself as a parameter or style it outside of the signature template. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy.png 16:16, 10 September 2011

I want to customize my timestamp without doing the following:
  • Making a double timestamp
  • Having to undo mi sig on other pages
  • and much more.
