Forum:The new comment sections
This morning when I woke up and signed on to Uncyc I noticed something was different: Wikia has now added "Comments" sections at the bottom of our articles. If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a look at an article. I don't like them, but I think before Wikia removes them we will need to show that our community does not support this "new feature". So, let's vote!! -- The Zombiebaron 12:03, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
- I can't see the comment section anymore, though I did come across this. So God only knows what is going on with it right now. --ChiefjusticeGameBoy 12:48, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
- That was a comment that Shabidoo made in one of the new boxes, while they were here. I think the whole thing was a test, a demonstration of the Lovecraftian horrors to come. Dear God. ~ Wed, Dec 7 '11 12:53 (UTC)
Should Wikia remove the new comments sections?
- For. Obviously. -- The Zombiebaron 12:03, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
- Wuck Fikia. Here's why:
- The comment sections look (expletive) retarded, especially on (expletive) ENCYCLOPEDIA ARTICLES. We're not cracked.com. We're wikipediaONcrack.com.
- The old "Talk" tab is gone. Therefore, up to SIX YEARS worth of comments (including explanations of in-jokes) are now hidden from sight.
In case I didn't make myself clear the first time, I will now say it again, this time without any attempt to cleverly disguise what I mean: "(expletive) Wikia." ~ Wed, Dec 7 '11 12:15 (UTC)
P.S. If my bad language offends you, I apologize.- The old Talk tab is the new Discussion tab. The talks are still there. As discussions. Classy. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 00:21, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
- I think the tab has said "Discussion" for a while now, but during the appearance of these comment sections, the Talk/Discussion tab (whichever) was gone. It's been resolved, apparently. ~ Thu, Dec 8 '11 7:49 (UTC)

- Anticipatory For.. America is actually opening up its FEMA camps, so wikia can't be far behind. Aleister 18:21 7-12-'11
- Against. Bring 'em back!!!!!!! --Roman Dog Bird 01:42, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
Should Wikia have invented the comments thing for its wikis in the first place?
I think the answer is obvious.
18:30, 7 December 2011- I haven't seen this shit yet on the wiki. I'm going to get on the "Let's only complain once the dildo is inside of our ass" bus. --
- My personal opinion is that all dildos should be exterminated to prevent them from coming anywhere near our ass. That's just my two cents, though.
- I'm with the sock. ~ Thu, Dec 8 '11 3:13 (UTC)

Should wikia reserve the comments boxes for users fawning over Shabidoo's awsome articles?
- Yes shabidoo's vote is worth five --ShabiDOO 00:56, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
- woo --Roman Dog Bird 01:42, December 8, 2011 (UTC)
Put your worries to rest
A small bird has informed me that the comments sections appearing on articles were the result of a "bug". Furthermore:
“ | "...article comments (much as I'm reluctant to ever say 'never') will never be on uncyc." | ” |
So, false alarm, I guess. ~ Thu, Dec 8 '11 7:46 (UTC)
- Ok, awesome. -- The Zombiebaron 06:06, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
- Booooo. I've really been hankering for a good dildo. -- 06:24, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
Wake those worries BACK UP! SHIT, FUCK, COCKS! Oh God we're all going to die!
During the same conversation...
<me> Just so you know, we don't like the idea of a new user talk system, either. :D <anonymous> yep, and we've changed because of that - the plan now is to make them part of Wikia labs rather than do a full roll out. <anonymous> (and any decisions that might happen on how/when/if/where to roll out will be after that, not now)
That...that doesn't sound like a "there will never be new user talk sections on uncyclopedia" to me! Does it sound like that to any of you?!?! AHHHHH OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD PANIC PANIC PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANIC! ~ Sat, Dec 10 '11 10:30 (UTC)
