HI!

Codeine, hope you OK. This is NeoPopRealism funny version:

NeoPopRealism is style in visual arts created and named by artist Nadia Russ. NeoPopRealism combines deep smartness of Leonardo Da Vinci with bright stupidity of Andy Warhol. NeoPopRealism reflects new millenium with its technical/cultural achievements, social diversity & top crazyness, carries hi color energy and has craphic nature.
Also NeoPopRealism is philosophy, which unites beautifull & fabulous people under flag of perfectionism and hi IQ. [[1]]
NeoPopRealism creator, Artist Nadia Russ is 6'2" tall nut, with hazel eyes, blond hair, long legs & uncontrolled nature.
There's rumors. Some intocsicated Bahamian lawyer said about her: "When she'll fishish, you'll have nothing..." But there's another rumors: "Victims" had nothing from the beginning: no clothes, no money.
Warning to those who want to be one minute made millionaire: Do not even try to make it happen by possessing Nadia Russ paintings without million dollars payment. Riff-Raff professionals and law people are watching you.

OK, you're getting closer to what Uncyclopedia's about. But the problem is that this is still basically an advert for Nadia Russ's work. I appreciate that you've put some work in, but our policy is not to provide what we call "vanity pages". These are articles that in some way serve the purpose of promoting a website, person or business, or refer to a person that most of our readers haven't heard of. I'm not trying to be rude to Miss Russ, but she's not as well known as (for example) Andy Warhol or Salvador Dali.
However, I promised you I'd be fair about this, so I'll open a discussion about it on our forum, the Village Dump. If there's reasonable support for your idea, the Neopoprealism page will be unlocked and you can have the article. So I suggest that you check here in a day or two to see what the group consensus is. As a rule, admins here are more forthcoming in matters like this if you register a username rather than posting from an IP, and if you contribute more articles about a wide range of subjects. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 22:27, 21 Sep 2005 (UTC)

deletion of guestbook piracy

Hey Codeine, even though I understand that some pages have to be deleted: why did you delete the guestbook piracy-page? I didn't intent to leave it that way and was just about to extent it when I found it removed. Also, what do you mean with this “vanity” remark?

A "Vanity Page" is what we call an article that either makes reference to non-notable persons or appears to exist mainly for the purpose of promoting an external link. Your page appeard to do both of those. If this really wasn't the case, and you want to do some more work on it, let me know and I'll restore it for you; but bear in mind what I mentioned above.
If you're new here, please have a look through the Beginner's Guide - even if you've edited other wikis before, since this is a parody site our standards are fucked-up and weird different to most. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 17:53, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Well, the external links linked not even to sites that belong to me and should only demonstrate, what guestbook piracy might look like. And, to be honest, I don't know who would promote old archived pages from some german military unit's guestbook. ;)
That pages must not make references to non-notable people was new to me, though. What about fictional non-notable people interconnected to each other to build some kind of plot? Even though I'm not that new here, I read the Beginner's Guide again but haven't found anything about that.
The article was far from complete, thats true. It was simply a first draft to be extended over time, that's why I put the Stub in there. I'll definitly write some more on guestbook piracy, but probably not today, for I have other work to do that, sadly, is more important. I know of others, though, who might also work on that article.
It's up to you whether you trust me on that and restore the page or wait until someone else writes a new article on guestbook piracy.
Thanks for your quick and helpful reaction, by the way.
Fair enough. Guestbook_Piracy has been restored. It's just that we get a lot of pages with self-referential pointlessnes on here, and occasionally I use a flamethrower rather than a sniper rifle. Happy editing :) -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 18:54, 6 Oct 2005 (UTC)

OHNOES!

Oh, I mean, oh no!

Why did you delete Wimbo Jales? --WikiFan05Talk Contribs 23:45, 14 October 2005 (CDT)

Because it was a) very short; b) orphaned (not linked to by any other pages); and c) not funny. Jokes based around swapping the first letters of names have been done to death, so unless one of them shows itself to be real comedy gold it's not likely to survive long. If you want to expand the page and make it better, let me know and I'll restore it for you. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 16:59, 15 Oct 2005 (UTC)

{{en:}} Why have you reverted my changes? {{pl:}} Czemu zrewertowałeś moje zmiany? 80.55.228.90 17:08, 17 Oct 2005 (UTC)

It wasn't your changes I was reverting. It was the changes of the guy who edited before you, who vandalised the page. Sorry about that, but if somebody like you has made a legitimate edit right after a vandal attack, it sometimes means that the page gets rolled back to a state that we know was the last unvandalised version. Please go ahead and add your contributions again, by all means. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 18:48, 17 Oct 2005 (UTC)

That's OK. But for future reference, Uncyclopedia isn't a tool for you to abuse your friends. If you do it once or twice it'll generally just get deleted, but if you make a habit of it, you could end up being banned from the site. And in all honesty, we'd much rather that people stuck around and made the place better, rather than having to block them. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 20:40, 6 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Dylan

Listen I know what you're thinking about the Dylan page, but I don't see why it has to be deleted. Its just a fictional story about the life of a character who everyone in our school jokingly uses as a scapegoat. As said on the front page this place is supposed to have no content and this article clearly has no content I can also have some of my friends back up the story. Thank you for your time, --Griffman 00:44, 7 Nov 2005 (UTC)

OK. Having looked at the links that lead to the page, I'll leave it be. Usually we take a pretty dim view of "in-jokes" that refer to a non notable person or something that only a small number of people may find funny (see HTBFANJS), but I see what you're doing here, and I admit I may have been a little hasty in deleting it earlier on (put it down to war trauma from the usual amount of vanity/slander nonsense we get on here) . So long as it doesn't spawn a rash of related pages about your friends' fictional characters it won't get any hassle from me. OK? -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 00:49, 7 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Thanks man. I really appreciate it. --Griffman 01:01, 7 Nov 2005 (UTC)

GAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!! Why is it in CVP again?!?!

why it was deleted 'shut up' hardly qualifies for a reason or/and an explanation. i am left to guess.

You mean Whimwham? For a start, please mention which page you're talking about when you leave me a message, so I don't have to trawl through the deletion log, and sign your comment (using the sign button above or with four tildes like so: ~~~~).

It was deleted because it was non-encyclopedic, one sentence long and (here's the crunch) not in the least bit amusing. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 20:37, 7 Nov 2005 (UTC)

re: Aha, I get it - thanks for pointing out. btw, me not bothering to mention "whimwham" was a joke in itself (funny). and the original whimwham, despite it's flaws, was extremely hilarous to me. i don't know, i just laughed like a madman after reading it (cookie to the one if anyone gets the admittedly cryptical joke) but that's just me i guess.

Thanks for reviewing the Vanity Policy! I have re-created the article conforming to the new guidelines; the teacher's name, photo and location have been removed completely. I will keep an eye on the article to make sure that the banned content doesn't make its way back in there. Hope this is all ok.

OK with me for now, but I can't guarantee the response of my fellow administrators. However, the fact that you've left a note on Talk:Mr_McIntosh is a good move, and I should think you'll probably be alright. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue)

Just wanted to let you know that you helped me catch my first notable vandal! You'd deleted the craptacular Jamie Lewis the Turtle, but when I looked at the Delete Log it was back. So I went to huff it again, and put a tiny ban on the IP address (212.219.232.87). Then, I took another look at the IP's contributions, and he'd vandalized five separate articles in the space of an hour, not including the time he wasted pushing out his Turtle head. Went back and banned him for a year. w00t! Couldn't have done it, though, if you hadn't caught his crap the first time. -- Sir BobBobBob ! S ? [rox!|sux!] Prince%21.gif 15:39, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Force redirects

They are not unnecessary. Sophia has a link to Forces of the Universe; fundamental force aka fundamental interaction is a real concept in science that should have correspondingly ridiculous pages here, and force is the closest we've got. Someone looking for fundamental force or fundamental interaction should just get redirected to the force page until someone else makes content for them. --zandperl 13:21, 17 Nov 2005 (UTC)

"fundamental force aka fundamental interaction is a real concept in science that should have correspondingly ridiculous pages here."

There are many concepts, both concrete and abstract, in the world that Uncyclopedia does not have articles about. If we were to make them all into redirects, the whole site would become clogged and exceedingly difficult to edit. If you think those particular articles should exist, then go ahead and create them. We'd rather encourage humourous and inventive articles than redirects any day. Also, if a redirect really seems necessary, please make it point directly to the article that you want. Redirecting Fundamental force to Fundamental interaction and then to Force is annoying and creates work for someone else to do. Thanks. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 13:30, 17 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Well, jokes aren't only allowed in articles, but you have to look at it from our point of view. We get a lot of petty and senseless vandalism here, and there really wasn't anything to suggest that what you were doing was not intended to be taken seriously. Also, there's not really any reason to be insincere on the VFD, or even on the VFH; as this is a wiki, content control is one of the most important areas, and you shouldn't really do anything that might adversely affect that.
