Talk:Barack Obama/archive
In the Superhero section, "congregations" is mispelled as "congretations". If you care.
C'mon, Can You smell what Barack is cook'n? Edit this page!
OMG!!!!! this site is SOOOO RACIST!! its not even CLOSE to being funny...
for instance the writer had said :
"At first it would be suspected that he is a black man; However, in reality he is half arabic and half white with a dark tan. Don't let him fool you, he looks black but have you ever heard him say muthafucka? The answer is no. "
ARE YOU SERIOUS?????? I just so happen to attend a private school, and never once have I heard something so negative and racist amongst my white peers. This needs some serious reperation as soon as possible. This page is very untrue, inconsiderate, and immature. I like to think that people have grown up by now, but apparently not!

Hey, this article is getting progressively lamer and unfunny. I tried some edits, then someone tried to reverse them. Its also slanted so it doesnt make fun of obama that much. I just think this article needs some work! RAA User:Cobriaclord/sig
- Don't you mean that the article should be changed to better suit your political ideology? Other than working towards that, all you added were some penis and gay jokes. Not exactly the kind of satire we look for here... - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 20:14, Aug 18
- What the hell are you talking about? this is uncyclopedia, it should make no sense at all. Any penis jokes are welcomed :<
- I don't mind a crude joke if it's well-executed and intelligent, but just claiming someone is gay, or mentioning their penis in the most obscene way you can think of is not a joke. Unless, of course, you are on the playground in 4th grade, in which case it makes you hilarious. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 17:50, Aug 21
I don't really have the editing skills for this, but it might be interesting to fashion this page after Obama's website. Then substitute something like "Give me money! I need it to crusade against Washington lobbyism!" for "Donate now!" The "Issues" tab could link to a random page, since Obama is notoriously vague in his stances. I dunno, good idea? Love:M.D
I don't think he is vague in his stances at all. That's Hillary's profession. So that part wouldn't be very funny. Your other ones are okay. – Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.18.183.22 (talk • contribs)
- I'm voting for Obama and I don't think he's vague either, but it'd still be funny.
- I also don't think Hillary's a bitch, a liberal, or a communist, but the Hillary article still gives me a few good laughs. SteveSims 01:40, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Are you kidding me?! Hillary is a huge lib! If she isn't then I haven't heard her speak in like a day. If you cut her open World News seeps out. She is a hardcore liberal. Also don't vote for Obama, remember when he visited the troops? Well a sergant that was there says that he just blew them off and took pictures for the media. The only "Change" he gives is on his issues, whatever pleases the croud you know?

But I honestly believe we can make this page really funny if we ran with it, which I just did. You can edit Hillary but you can't edit the presidential candidate Barack "Allah we Ackbar" Obama, come on!

Obama isn't a muslim so it wouldn't be very logical to add "Allah we Ackbar", and I'd consider it over-bias.
Not to mention that the McCain page is edited out the ass. This page is pure faschism and uncyclopedia was never supposed to be one-sided. Seriously, down with this article before this site gets hacked and/or crashed.

Anti-Christ[edit source]
Obama is the anti-christ and I'm sure of it. It says the anti-christ will come out of nowhere, everyone will like them, and they'll rule for four years. Also, in 4 years it will be 2012, the year the Mayan calender ends. I'm not a very good writer so I'm sure I wouldn't do a good job adding that. If someone likes the idea I think it'd be a nice little addition, ya know?

The Uncyclopedia endorses a candidate?
Come on, this isn't scathing enough, it isn't full of mean insults, I would say the same thing if it were true of J. McCain's article.
If this wasn't primarily written by Obama supporters, than my name is Gregory MacDavat, it isn't.
This article isn't even funny, it is almost like a slightly garbled add for Obama, with a few stupid, lame jokes that actually boaster his reputation. ___________________________ Greg, distant cousin of Obama (no kidding) – Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.108.165.65 (talk • contribs)
- First thing's first: sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~).

- The aim of an Uncyclopedia article should not be to be controversial or "scathing"; the aim is to be funny. How one goes about that task is up to the author(s). Very often, it is funnier to be outwardly nice to someone/something whilst alluding to the satirical point of the article. See Robert Mugabe, as another example of this approach in action. This article does a pretty good job of satirising Obama's inoffensively vapid approach to politics as well as referencing the drug stuff. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 15:50, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Oh really. By the way, Clark Kent, do you ever watch funny comedy shows like the Daily Show (known for skewering politians), or Mad TV, or stand up comedy? I'd say it isn't very often that being outwardly nice and behaving like a sap with secret ill intentions is funny. Imitating Barack's vapid approach is still vapid and boring, not funny. --OrkaWinfrey 05:38, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

- For some reason, politics and humor don't seem to go hand in hand anymore. Maybe the state of our country has become too serious to make fun of the candidates using old people jokes or black humor (no pun intended) to invalidate them. None of it seems funny anymore because we really do need someone to take charge and make some changes. I just can't find anything funny about either candidate and cringe at the discriminatory humor lately. Let someone else try to make this page funny, but I doubt it's possible given the current situation. --OrkaWinfrey 04:28, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Seriously, I need to add on to this right here. This Obama article isn't even remotely funny. I'll take this right here. "It was at this time that Obama began to experiment with behavior-altering substances (such as genuine Hawaiian lava and poi)." Seriously?! Obama admits to have done COCAINE and thats the best thing anyone has ever written about him? It's also in dire need a serious update. Yes, yes, I'm absolutely for the whole 'if you want it done, then do it yourself' policy so within 24 hours I'm going to do this thing right. Seriously, this is the last time I want to see something factual, like "This article is about Barack Obama, the presidential candidate whose first name means "blessed" in Shona." at the top of a page. - If the premise sucks than the article does too. Good luck changing it though. It's like this article has a f*ucking bouncer. Also, Obama is difficult to make fun of because he seems so sincere. This man of Kenyan roots with a deeply prejudiced Hawaiin gramma is kind of tricky to track down. Someone needs to look up the Hawaiin connection and find out how he wound up in the most expensive state to live in the whole country. Was he ever really poor? Why was white gramma able to pay $4.00 for a loaf of bread in the 1970's? FOLLOW the $$$. Can he really identify with the dirt poor recipients of food stamps or food pantry handouts? And what about Grandpa? Haven't heard a word about him. Is he dead? Anything is funnier than the "meet the candidate" format. Looks like Obama went to school with Waldo from Where's Waldo?[edit source]
Obama[edit source]
- These article needs help. Why not write it likes it 50 years in the future? Tell it like everything that all the right wing conservatives are afraid Obama will do has happened.
- I already created the article Baraq Hussein Osama which is a parody of the secret muslim terrorist image that conservatives are currently promoting. What I'm trying to do with this page is to create a parody of the equally preposterous cring-inducing image the liberals are, surprisingly effectively, promoting for Obama. Which is that he's some messiah, second-coming-of-Christ. I'm using the George W. Bush and George Dubya Bush pages as inspiration, seeing as how I'm sure Barack Obama will simply be a Democratic version of Bush if elected.--Blackcracka 21:38, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Problem is, now it just looks exactly like the George Bush page. It's pretty obviously a cut-and-paste-and-edit job - and it doesn't go with the theme the page had before, that of "meet the candidate", and so the "meet the audience" section especially doesn't make sense and loses its context. Being original is better than being another George W. Bush clone. What you have written is good, but doesn't fit - perhaps it'd be best to split it off into a separate article? Barack Obama (messiah) or something similar? • Spang • ☃ • talk • 04:32, 13 Oct 2008
- We could definitely split it off like you suggested. As of today, I did a noticeable rewrite on certain things (I changed "Meet the Audience" to "Q & A with Undecided Voters") and added some more funny content--some of it compliments the theme I'm going for. The reason I wanted to nix the "Meet the Candidate" theme was because I noticed the McCain page didn't have the same theme and the actual election is only weeks away, so it probably needs to be updated again anyways depending on what happens. I think I solved the problem...somewhat. You're right about the cut and paste George Bush aspect of the page. That needs to be worked on and I already have an idea of what I will do tomorrow. Although I'm not finished, this is very close to a final draft. On the subject of originality, the reason I think the Barack Obama page and the Baraq Osama one would work so well following the structure of the two Bush pages is because (unlike Gore and Kerry or any other politician for that matter) we're obviously seeing something similar going on with Obama in real life, with people seeing Obama as each side of a black and white coin. We have far right conservatives going bat shit over Obama, convinced he's actually a muslim terrorist. If you listen to the crowds at the McCain rallies, they already know with 100% certainty that he needs to be killed and very soon. Or he'll blow up the White House after he hands the country over to Osama bin Laden. And on the other side, we have wacko liberals who really do see Obama as this flawless, perfect prophet sent from God himself. I saw a teenage girl on the news crying tears of joy after meeting Obama. The guy hasn't even done anything or gotten into office yet, but a lot of my white friends think he's the next JFK and all of my friends and family are voting for him just because he's black! They simply want to see "one of their own" get to the white house. It's crazy! But I digress kinda. Hit me back and tell me what you guys think of the page right now. Suggestions are more than welcomed, they're appreciated. I'm working on the Baraq Osama page too. I think it still has much more potential.--Blackcracka 12:33, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Looking better now, as it doesn't look like two halves of two pages with different themes. Though I kinda liked the whole "meet the candidate" angle... perhaps that can find a home in another article. As you said, I think it needs to find a balance between the viewpoint that he's the second coming, and the viewpoint of your average Conservapedian. And having the two different pages is good, just so long as they're their own articles, and not blatant rips of the GWB pages. Which I think it's better for now - though the "this page has been screened by..." is a dead give away that it's about to be the same thing, not sure what could be done to fix that. Also, maybe the superhero section could do with trimming or splitting up, as it's kinda got the wall of text thing going on as it is. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 00:17, 18 Oct 2008
- I think I've almost found the balance between the two viewpoints and I already know the solution to the "this page has been screened" paragraph at the top. The superhero section will be made shorter by tomorrow. In fact, by Wednesday night I'll have done my final overhaul to this page. Tell me what you think.--Blackcracka 10:03, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- After reading your comment about the NAACP tag being ugly, I rewrote the caption at the top of the page and turned it into a jab at Obama's ridiculous spending on ads and television time.--Blackcracka 23:08, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Unprotect this article before it's too late![edit source]
Dude(s), this article really needs some TLC, it's not funny. It seems like Uncyclopedia is being a bit too nice to Obama. You don't have a problem trashing McCain (neither do I) but when it comes to Obama everyone is too soft to actually write something funny. Also, don't expect the article to get much funnier while it's protected.
Don't be afraid to be down right scathing with the sarcastic satire. That's what I'm trying to do. Expect a final draft Thursday. I also created the Baraq Hussein Osama page which is also suppose to be ironic....well, it's suppose to be anyways. ;-) --Blackcracka 12:38, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Superhero section[edit source]
I don't really see the connection between Barrack and the superhero thing. For one, it doesn't make me laugh because I hate most superheroes, and two, there are no black superheroes except for the black guy on The Incredibles that turns everything into ice and OMG he looks just like Barrack Obama! Anyway, the section goes on too long and distracts from the true message. Whatever that is. --OrkaWinfrey 05:14, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Rarely are people dumb enough to hold politicians to these comic book hero standards (if you go on amazon.com, they even made a "serious" comic book for Obama!). Obamaism[edit source]
There should be a bit about "Obamaism", a religion worshipping Obama as the Messiah. Here's a section from the "Book of Barack"
"Obama: You killed my father!
God: No Barack, I am your father.
Obama: WTF!!"
Also proof that God is black, as Obama's mum is white, Obama is 50% black and so his father, God must be...

The Muslim thing[edit source]
It might be funny to poke some fun about how people still believe hes' Muslim and how the campaign denys it. Sprinkle some references that "He's not a Muslim" "Obama, who's not a Muslim" or "Btw did I mention he's not a Muslim" etc repeatedly as a type of running gag.

Could someone tell me who wrote this[edit source]
"Our savior...isn't he dreamy? If you didn't vote for Obama, you're partly responsible for the assassination of Martin Luther King." If I find out you did it, I'm going to kick your ass. It isn't funny. 67.182.185.148 06:46, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Barak Obama is NOT Black[edit source]
A fellow Uncyclopewiki deleted my entry a few days ago telling me it's personal (unfunny). However, I thought that's comical to point out how can a BLACK man with other racial/ethnic backgrounds be the first AFRICAN-AMERICAN president? Here's what I wrote before it got huffed like an innocent kitten or puppy (don't make me call PETA).
Wrong. He's one-half Kenyan, one-quarter Irish, one-eighth Spanish (or was it Puerto Rican), one-sixteenth Polynesian (Hawaiian...yeah) and one-thirtysecond Cherokee Indian. His stepfather is Indonesian, also a Muslim. He should be called "Barak Obama Heinz 57" or "the first Mutt president".
Besides Barak Obama is colorless! He's a transparent Reptilian "Tare" on a mission to hypnotize, enslave and finally, dominate the world. The Grey Alien race is the REAL threat to all of mankind. + PotatoSmut 06:14, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
