Forum:A magazine?
I have an idea for a satirical magazine. This one being the first issue, it mainly full of over-used Uncyclopedia in-jokes and memes, but I hope you like the concept. If you do, I might do more, even release a PSD file template. If not, I'll just let it die.
Please tell me if you like it, thanks, Rbpolsen♦☺ 17:27, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- It's a good idea, but you have to keep in mind we stopped finding those things funny 3 years ago. Saberwolf116 20:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, we've moved onto....."bigger" things....--Bad Shroom 20:31, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- ...like penis humour. Apparently. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 22:10, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps consider reviving this bit instead. ~ 22:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

- That's not printed. I was thinking of an actual printable magazine. If it weren't for chronarion licensing the site's content with a non-commercial-only license we might even be able to sell it. --
- While I realize I came here during 2007, and I know that those jokes where worn to death long ago. Like I said, I was only trying to give an example of hwat it would look like should y'all want me to continue it. Besides, even though those jokes were overused, they are still refreshing in a world where bigger isn't always better. I am a bit of a nostalgist, I know, but I still like them. Anyways, I'm glad y'all are liking it so far, know do you think I/we should continue this, and how. Thanks, Rbpolsen♦☺ 03:33, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- Firstly your sig code is leaking, please sort that. Secondly an actual magasine sounds kinda cool, but what exactly would it have in it? Top tens of the year/ threes of the month? interviews with Uncyclopedians of the month? just random stuff from years ago that quite alot of our userbase wasn't around for and doesn't care about now? I don't mean to sound dirisive I'm genuinly curiouse. A magasine could potentially draw in more users that wish to contibute good stuff. Orian57 Talk 04:07 12 July 2009

- I love the idea, but wouldn't this take a massive lot of effort? 15:21, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- That front page is waaaaaaaay too busy. Also, sounds like a lot of work; some of us have kids to feed you know? AND some of us are kids waiting to be fed. --Sir Sunbeam

- This magazine reminds me of a notice made in Microsoft Word with cartoon pictures. Anyway, a magazine would only eat up bandwith, cause unneeded work, and advertise bad humor.--Bad Shroom 21:38, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- And Uncyclopedia already does those things as a wiki. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 22:09, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Uncyclopedia Magazine
Well since we use the CC-BY-NC-SA 2.0 license here you cannot print and sell copies of it. Nothing stops you from making PDF eBooks of each magazine and share them via BitTorrent as long as you include the CC-BY-NC-SA 2.0 license with it and do not charge for access to it. Who knows, if you provide a link back to here, we might get some "interesting" users from it. All the more to promote the web site. Make sure you also do an UnNews magazine and convert some of the UnBooks to PDF format as well. Cite it all under UnMedia or something. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 20:29, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- It would have to be a monthly or perhaps bimonthly to start with. Lot of work there unless it works like a 'Best Of' which can be sent to new uncyclopedians. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate). 18:07, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
- I really wish that there were some way to relicense the site under a better license, such as CC BY-SA 3.0 or CC BY 3.0. Also, I think we should make an issue every 3.14 months.-- 00:22, Jul. 15, 2009
Encyclopedias don't have magazines. They have encyclopedias. Let's make an Uncyclopedia encyclopedia. If we DO have to make a magazine, let's rename it so we don't seem so vain. I say we call it "Cuntymints". It's very Dada. --EMC [TALK] 00:25, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe "UnCuntymints" might be a better Dada name. --Lt. Sir Orion Blastar (talk) 01:42, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
In all seriousness
I would absolutely LOVE a printed collection of the best of Uncyc. An actual Uncyclopedia if you will. It'll never happen though. Damn licenses and whatnot. -OptyC Sucks! CUN19:57, 15 Jul
