  1. Nom&For. Conrad's life through the eyes of Marlow on crack, great stuff. --Dame Sonjesig.pngCherry-blossom.gif 15:31, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
  2. For. Heart of Darkness is a fantastic book. I'd vote even if I had only seen Apocalypse Now. Oh and the article is great. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 15:49, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

  5. Symbol for vote.svg For. I am presuming this is written 'at the time' - i.e. 1920s ? If you are going to imitate the style of writing of a certain historical period for parody then some use of language is acceptable for me at least. --Romartus 10:46, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
It's written in the style of one of Conrad's novels, Heart of Darkness. Marlow is the protagonist, who narrates the entire story from his experience in imperialist Africa. One key relevance is that Marlow (in this article) is talking about Joseph Conrad similar to how he did in the book itself when he spoke about the person he was looking for, a man named Kurtz. Read the book, it's a change from the African civil war tales you get these days. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 17:24, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

  9. For. Nicely done, and a good read. The book pisses me off immensely though. (I also agree with Necropaxx that there may be a "Begad" or two too many). --UU - natter UU Manhole.gif 13:16, Apr 29

  12. Hesitant and Half-Sympathic For, but For not the less. It is quite esoteric, and I have the feeling it will go over most readers heads, but it has too much work in it and is too funny for me to vote abstain. Mnb'z 05:54, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Abstain. I wanted to like this, I really did, but the style with its gazillions of "Begad!"s kind of killed it for me. Necropaxx (T) {~} 15:25, Apr 27
  • Symbol delete vote.svg Abstain I think it's funny in its own sense, but I'm kind of gettin tired of these formal articles about old guys. There have been like 8 of the featured in the last week.--SBQ3.JPGSmokin' Cheddar BBQ: The King of the Triangular Snackfoods 22:52, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
