Writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is fun. To get started, it's recommended that you create it in your userspace (for example, User:Antiedman/sandbox) so you can edit at your leisure. The reason your article was deleted is as follows: Zombiebaron tagged it with a {{Fix}}, meaning if the article wasn't improved in 30 days then it would be deleted. It went unedited since then and, when I considered it 30 months later, felt that it wasn't up to our standards of quality. Honestly, I thought that it nearly reached the baseline for a quality article, but the fact that it went 30 days without the slightest improvement was an indication that nothing much was going to change in the long run.
