Fixing Shoe_Untying_Gnomes article

I plan to adopt this article. I've removed the random nonsense from it and plan to rewrite it completely. At the moment I've got a brief intro and a preliminary document structure in place.

How to I go about labelling it as a stub instead of ICU? --Halfhaggis 14:42, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

I have changed the tag to a {{construction}} tag. You did the right thing in coming to an admin, and in the future this is how you should get ICU tags removed/changed. If you don't get the page done in a week from now, it will be deleted, but I can recreate it in your userspace, as a subpage. -- The Zombiebaron 22:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Fixing 'ugly'articles

I'm tring to clean up articles tagged as {{ugly}}, but I've noticed that some of them have inlined images in the way of a full URL, wich prevents you from making it into a proper thumb. What should I do in that case? Should I retrieve the image from its source, upload with a "nobody cares" copyright notice and then proceed to fix the article? Or something else entirely? Thanks in advance --W2bh 23:09, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

That's probably best, although you should use the normal level of judgement as to what are "good" images. For instance, if someone has linked to pictures of him and his friends, don't even bother uploading those. Also, if you upload something and you feel it should be deleted, just ask. -- The Zombiebaron 02:16, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. I'll see how it turns out. If in doubt about a picture, should I ask in VD? --W2bh 23:14, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Yah, but make sure you have more then one picture. People will hate you if you create a forum page called "Forum:Is this one image I found alright? There are more, but I plan on making one of these Forums every week.", if you know what I mean. -- The Zombiebaron 23:47, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

It wasn't me

But thank you for voting. And suffering.

Yarrrrr welcome matey. -- The Zombiebaron 16:17, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Why did you revert my change to Denmark?

Seriously, I didn't do it to vandalize or anything; the stuff was just so far from funny that I *had* to keep it from the public eye. The phrases in question and their "meanings" are just the direct opposite (in a very, very unfunny way). 212.242.144.172

I reverted it because it was vandalisim. Straight and simple. -- The Zombiebaron 01:29, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, you could call it clearing, but I only commented it out, and secondly I did it well-meaning. 212.242.144.172
That matters not, it was still wrong. -- The Zombiebaron 17:20, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! (I think.)

I am shocked that you would give me this. I had no idea you were handing ninjastars out to the people who voted for you. Honestly. -- The Zombiebaron 00:14, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Wiki How

How do I go about proving that IP:128.252.48.170 is a sockpuppet of IP:128.252.92.236 what I have is 1. Similar (If not the same) vandalism and under the same subjects i.e. Kansas City 2. Both ips are from St.Luis. --AyumiKitada 10:24, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't think there is a sure fire way. Talking to sannse will help though. -- The Zombiebaron 23:05, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Banjo Kazooie

coulda added that myself. but what it really needs is some work. i'm only in tech class, so after this, no more today. well, 2 more mins. can you work?

no. -- The Zombiebaron 18:04, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Captin Obvious

Hi Zombie - I notice you huffed this after (I think?) Braydie protected it - just wondering if we could have it back, at least for long enough for a VFD? It does have links to it, and I think it's quite funny if you stumble on it from those. --Strange.PNG (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 11:27, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Sure, I didn't notice Braydie's rash actions. -- The Zombiebaron 18:06, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Thankee. Now all I need is to go and misspel Captain Obvious on a few more pages (/me cackles evilly.) Meh - maybe later. --Strange.PNG (but) Untrue  Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 00:54, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

hi

many thanks for welcoming me, i was just wondering why you deleted the St Dunstans page i made, i does have a site on wikipedia, it may not be the most known of place yet it is one of the most well known private schools in london. if u would like to help me and actually make it funny then that would be much better than simply deleting it. please reply back with your comments, thanks. --SC1001 15:14, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Please read the policy on vanity. That is why your article was deleted, and it is why it will continue to be deleted in the future. You should probably move on and try to write about things that people have heard of. -- The Zombiebaron 16:00, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
thats what i was trying to say it has been heard of, St Dunstanshas its own page on wikipedia and is hugely known of in london and the uk. why does it not warrent some space on here.--SC1001 20:52, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Just because something is notable doesn't mean that an article about them is not vanity. I could write you a story about how I spent a weekend with John Cleese (that would be a dream come true, eh?), and it would still be vanity. -- The Zombiebaron 23:59, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Oi

Um, thank you for welcoming me. Nice to meet you. Etc. Why did you undo my edits on the Alaska page? --Rialet 06:10, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome. -- The Zombiebaron 16:01, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Uh,

Why'd you welcome this guy? A powershot sock who hasn't edited in months? Spang talk 05:27, 26 Feb 2007

I was educating him on how to become a better Uncyclopedian. I know if someone had welcomed me, I would probably be an admin or something by now. -- The Zombiebaron 15:31, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

QVFD

With regards to your QVFD post on my talk page - I did not realise it was possible to set time zones in your profile. I just assumed it was set at a certain time, since my time is always wrong. Thanks for clearing that up. Icons-flag-au.png Sir Cs1987 UOTM. t. c 04:18, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Also, I have your talk page on my watchlist, and would have much rathered carry on our discussion there. But, I'm glad to have cleared it up for you. -- The Zombiebaron 15:32, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Huh...was that supposed to be a joke...cause I loved it. --The Zombiebaron 01:42, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

The bad users list :P :D —Braydie 01:59, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't do that kind of thing. I prefer to infaban everyone, and let you sort them out. --The Zombiebaron 02:05, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Haha. Sounds good. At least we won't need to revert vandalism any more if you did that. Anyway, I'm off; I'll try and get up in 4 hours to talk to sannse ;) —Braydie 02:08, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
/me sighs a sigh of realife that Braydie won't be using his talk page, instead of IRC, for four more hours. --The Zombiebaron 02:10, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

yes that would be appreciated, but can you tell me what i need to do to the article so it isnt deleted again? i know it was a patchy work in progress and i suck at html, the rules of slander and vanity are quite vague, just tell me waht i did wrong – Preceding unsigned comment added by Cosmicjester (talk • contribs)

  • The article is now at User:Cosmicjester/Monash university. It avoid deletion again, make sure that it is funny to a broad audience, not just people who attend Monash University. Sexual Innuendo and KINK

I did offer a compromise, I realise peppering the article with the image can be a little OTT, so I will concede that, but I'm wondering what was wrong with the compromise of only leaving the part at the bottom of the main article and linking at the end? --Tyron1 16:46, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

I've added a link to the See Also section. --The Zombiebaron 16:49, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Is the little bit I added to See Also alright? --Tyron1 16:50, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
I made it better. Something about images inside of text makes my blood boil. --The Zombiebaron 16:52, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

TACO gun on ICU list

Just curious as to what you'd recommend in addition to the existing TACO gun article to save it from ICU. Thanks! Poodlemcmuffin 04:25, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

  • It just needs more content. But make it good content. If it's just padder text, that doesn't count. --The Zombiebaron 23:53, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Why, sheesh. I just darn don't understand

Why did you huffed my "The truth about my company" article? Please, I would like to know.--W2bh 02:55, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

I read it, and to me it looked like you were angry at the place where you work because they have a bad server. If you want I can recreate it in your subspace. --The Zombiebaron 02:57, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

In which Hinoa seems to have confused ZB with someone else

...Well, I know I discussed it with someone...

Now, where was I? Oh, yeah. I don't like nesting tags in ICUs. It distorts the ICU tag--which can be a royal pain and has a tendency to look ugly as all hell. Second, when you nest a tag into an ICU tag, I'm not that certain that the category that the inner tag has will show up on the page. (I give myself a 50-50 chance of being wrong there, though.)

I suppose it's really a matter of personal preference. Though, I must say that it is annoying that you have to pick one and only one ICU subtag. —Major Sir Hinoa prepare for troublemake it double? 01:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Yes, but {{anti-list}} is HUGE, and clutters up a page no matter where you put it. That is why I subnest it. I sometimes subnest {{ugly}} when the format subtag doesn't cut it. I also once subnested {{vanity2}} as a not so funny joke. That's about it as far as I know. Basically, the tags are all ugly and they look slightly better while subnested. But, as you said it's a matter of personal taste. --The Zombiebaron 01:42, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

instant disambig

we seem to be running around in circles, but with accompolishments instead of inefficiency. I like this! A quick question: can you elaborate on the meaning of "used in the manner of subst:Instant disambig"? What does "subst" do? Oh yeah, and thanks for indirectly teaching me about the whole "Prefixindex" thing... —Lenoxus 03:17, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Subst: will display the content of the Template page, instead of the standard link to the template. This cuts down on vandalisim to the template page, which would affect many pages. If you don't understand what I just said, don't worry. Also, your welcome. --The Zombiebaron 03:20, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
    • Eep, sorry to have created tedious extra work for you. Now I've made the conncection between the "subst" and its result; thanks for illustrating. I might have to register a small amount of disagreement about the Wikipedia thing, because for a wikigeek like me, sometimes it's about the journey and not the destination, you know? But my fingers are now staying away from the template (except that I might expand the explanation to prevent people from doing what I did).—Lenoxus 02:29, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay. The whole subst: thing is very confusing at first, as far as I remember. --The Zombiebaron 02:31, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

why'd you delete my Lloydminster article?-mj 18:35, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

  • It failed the vanity check. --The Zombiebaron 16:42, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
    • uhh ok... that's kinda stupid, seeing that it WAS a joke page totally not true in any way, and looking at the criteria for being deleted as a vanity page, the only thing it might've failed would've been the number of google hits for the page. -mj 18:19, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
However, right from the get-go when you call it "crap town" it is slander. You slander a town, and the poeple who live in it, in a fashion that only people who live in Lloydminister will understand (or maybe not even they get the "joke"). --The Zombiebaron 18:23, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
mmmkay, this coming from a person who created an article called "church of scatology". i'm not sure if you realize this, but uncyclopedia isn't reality. maybe if you got up from your computer and left the basement of your mother's house you would know that.-mj 06:51, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
The Church of Scatology doesn't exist. I can not offend peoplw who worship their dung, because they do not exist. Lloydminister is a real place, and offending the people who live there is not funny to anyone. --The Zombiebaron 18:13, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
No, the Church of Scatology doesn't exist, but there are MANY fake city pages on Uncyclopedia that people would find offensive. I highly doubt that people who live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan would consider their city to be the "capital of syphilis" and the "trash of Canada". But guess what, that's what the page says. Are you going to take it upon yourself to instantly delete that page??-mj 00:17, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
No, while I could just delete it, there are rules for pages older then a couple of days. I will place that page on VFD as per the deletion policy. --The Zombiebaron 01:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey Jude

Yo, Zombie. I fixed it some. I cut some obnoxious repetition, but let me tell you that it is the joke. As you may know, the actual song goes on for 2 minutes, and then there's about 6 minutes of "JUDE JUDE JUDE JUDE" and Paul screaming and whatnot. Just so you know there's reasoning behind this joke. Also, there's more history to the song now. George couldn't be reached for comment.--Jerseystrato 23:36, 15 February 2007 (UTC) (EDIT- Nevermind... I'm guessing you are a Beatles fan, seeing that you wrote a Helter Skelter article. Anyway...)
