VOTING OPEN

You. Yes, you. You approve of these articles, right?

Greetings Europe[citation needed]! It's time for the traditional Eurovision-style voting on the Top 10 Articles of 2025!

How to vote?[edit source]

Like the last few years, we use the Eurovision Song Contest™ voting system: 1st place vote per voter given 12 points, 2nd given 10, 3rd given 8, 4th 7, 5th 6 and so on down to 1. Good luck to everyone, and Happy Voting!

Like this: 12- *Article name* 10- *Article name* 8- *Article name* 7- *Article name* 6- *Article name* ... 1- *Article name* --Signature - you can change the timestamp when you add articles to your list over time, but you don't have to. Voting ends 31 January.

The following scores are forbidden and you should never use them: 9 & 11 (no relation).

P.S. Unlike in the Eurovision, you are allowed to vote for your own articles (there is no taboo about this). If you don't want to be a poser conformist, you don't have to vote for ten articles in total if you don't want to, just make sure your fav is 12 points, second fav is 10 points, 3rd is 8, 7, 6 etc. We will chase after people who bungled their votes, if a vote is incomprehensible (like voting for an article twice or misnumbering the voting), if we don't hear back from you, we will adjust it as best we can. Voting on this is highly highly encouraged. The more people vote, the more robust the results are.

Please try not to change your votes after you have voted in a realpolitikal way (especially if someone has voted after you since you voted). The idea is to vote for what you truly think is best. If your favourite articles don't make it to the top 10 this year, your favourite might next year. Enjoy and have fun. This is always an exciting tradition to bring in the new year.

Gergdown[edit source]

  • 10 - Gouverneur Morris - This is proof that an article doesn't have to be thousands of words because "it looks like Wikipedia".
  • 8 - Video essay - Bias? Yes. If I could give two articles the same amount of points, it's Video essay and Road Rage. Probably because they both got ten points in VFH though. I still remember that... man, I really am a fucking child. Alas, this article had me pulling all the shots, mate!
  • 7 - Uncyclopedia Gold - Nice concept. Great execution! You might ask why put this up so high here if I said that I don't like putting articles that don't have "much" content on them in the top couple spots. Well, this one's just funny... and relates to the current economic state of the world right now!
  • 6 - Shoutbox - Yeah... this one's great. Greater than Road Rage, actually. Read below for the reason why.
  • 5 - Road Rage - Not gonna lie, great concept. But I think my bias causes me to rate Video essay wayy too high. I just have a huge-ass dick. Gonna decide which is funnier later in the day. I've decided that the more effort in an article, the better, and although Road Rage definitely received a lot of love and care, I treated my boy spoildly. After all, these are the Top 10. Still want this to be a Top 10-er though. The difference I have is that while Road Rage looks like road rage, it's just that same joke... actually, there's two funny jokes that aren't related to road rage, with the "Hey no need to get agressive. I just wanted to have a civil conversation." bumping the article to be a five-pointer. Shoutbox is one collective idea, with jokes spreading out from the original concept. That's why Shoutbox is higher. Or maybe I'm just EVIL and have a secret vendetta. After all, over-working usually leads to crankiness and grumpiness... Also, the actual reason is this: You STUPID DUMBASSARY USER! How do you not know the proper way to speak the English language, Turb0? As we all know, the correct way of spelling aggressive is aggressive!!! Obviously not agressive!!! In fact, since you said that, not only have you offended me, but the entire history of the Anglo-Saxon language chain, Turb0.
  • 4 - Cigarette butt - Heh, that's actually a pretty good one. It's really just a single thing, though, but it's a funny single thing.
  • 3 - An image built one pixel at a time - Amazing... for everyone except the reader. Jokes aside though, this one's really good. Don't know if this should be swapped with Harvey Weinstein or not.
  • 2 - Harvey Weinstein - This is the information the west doesn't want you to know about!
  • 1 - Holmium - This one was actually great. Good job, MK.

Definitely gonna change this later in the day. 🍂 gergdown🍂(talk) ☀️ 00:23, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

Changed! I remember wanting to put the ones with the most love and care at the top, and the ones with the funny punchlines at the bottom. Of course, there WILL be exceptions, especially when that punchline is really funny, but... oh well.

I don't like putting an article in "first place" because there really isn't any definitive article. If me had big dick, me would've put all my articles in 1st. But, y'know, that's kinda rude and manipulating the system. That's why the 12 pointer will stay empty for me. 🍂 gergdown🍂(talk) ☀️ 02:26, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
