???
Hmph. Nobody liked the idea of the marquee tag. But I know you guys will find this one VERY useful, unlike marquees, like you said. This is the magic word {{DISPLAYTITLE}} so that it works automatically in any namespace (main, talk, template, etc.). (Previously, this magic word achieved this using JavaScript, but the DISPLAYTITLE method makes the change for all users, even those with JavaScript disabled in their browser). I only want the very top (your browser's heading) affected only.
It is used like this: {{DISPLAYTITLE:Example text goes here}}
Well yet agian I am asking a request for the HTML-Creaters (staff I guess). Can you guys create a new magic word called {{DISPLAYTITLE:}}?
See Template:Lowercase for help understanding.

Preety Please? Because so articles like iPod and eBay could look good AND you could alter the title! Sounds great?--¶ist 22:44, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Do you mean like {{title|Dude, where's my title?}}? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 22:57, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that also works. -- 23:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- Too slow! It's already enabled, it just doesn't do all you think it'd do, in that it'll only change the title if the new title you put in normalises to be the same as the actual title. So basically, you can only change it to something that would link to the same article if it were wikilinked. So it's mostly useless unless you need to have a lowercase first letter, or an underscore in the title. Unless we get the staff to remove that restriction, which is a) unlikely, and b) possibly not a good idea, but then again it's just the next step from the JS version. Though it doesn't have to wait for the page to load, or require JS to be on to work. I forget my point. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 23:55, 03 May 2008
If this goes well on wikipedia, then it should work here, hopefully.—Flutter (Talk•Games•Fun Pages•Awards•Help) 05:23, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Or we can use the <title> tag! It has the same effects that I'm mentioning--¶ist 16:05, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hell, why bother. Just use a Div and slam whatever you want in there. That's how it works in my userpage. I know I copied the code from somewhere and altered it myself, so why can't you do the same? May 7, 18:20
You doofuses (doofi?), he's not talking about the title on the page, which is what {{title}} accomplishes pretty well. He's talking about the title in the browser title - y'know, the thing that says "Forum:Displaytitle - Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia". – Sir Skullthumper, MD (criticize • writings • critchat) 18:23 May 07, 2008
- Yes, as a matter of fact I would like another soda. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 20:48, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- {{DISPLAYTITLE:Example text goes here}} already does that. Just not to any arbitrary title. You'd need JS to do that. Or if someone feels like writing an extension to do it... • Spang • ☃ • talk • 02:18, 08 May 2008
Hmmm, what shall we do, then? If I was a staff, I will write an extension... but how?—Flutter (Talk•Games•Fun Pages•Awards•Help) 00:57, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- We shall call the staff!!! But some won't reply...--¶ist 02:07, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Hey! I found it on eBay article that it works!!!! Case closed?—Flutter (Talk•Games•Fun Pages•Awards•Help) 23:59, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I put it there. I already explained how and why it works like 3 times, read what's above a little closer. Especially the things I say. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 00:43, 10 May 2008
- Speaking of displaytitle, how and why does it work? Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 01:36, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- As for how, it appears to simply fiddle with the <title> tag normally found in the head of the page. As for why, because you touch yourself at night. ('Course, I'm no expert. Maybe Spang will give a fuller explanation.) --Pleb SYNDROME CUN medicate (butt poop!!!!) 06:33, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Anywat, boo! That only work to lowercase the first letter! I not only want it to work that way, but so you can put any title!
C'mon staffies (<staff>!!!</staff><span title="hi Syndrome" style="cursor:help), i know you can! In wikipeadia, it works! So can here!!!--¶ist 00:21, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
