<huge>CONGRATULATIONS!</huge>[edit | edit source]

You Totally deserved this. Way to go!--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 13:16, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

You also deserved an entire chocolate cake, and possibly a frosted doughnut, but those are harder to send via internet connections.  c • > • cunwapquc? 00:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Geez, will anyone even see this after all this time? And will a <huger>thank you</huger> even be recognized at this point? Should I go on record that I ate at least one chocolate cake and three dozen frosted doughnuts in my absence, regardless of, or perhaps due to, a lack of internet activity? And can I squeeze in one last question before I change that plea on the tail end of my sig before I excuse myself yet again? I think I just did. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 04:49, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks[edit | edit source]

Great template. Yes, yes... frickin' huge expectorations, indeed. You do great work around here (not least of which is that audio work you've mastered - hope you'll still be lending your voice talent as often with your new adminstritutional duties you'll be gifted) and very much deserved the vote. Of course, I voted for all of ya because the candidates were just that good all around. But thanks for the template; I shall now add it to the collection. :) -- Imrealized ...hmm? 03:06, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Helping each other[edit | edit source]

Helping you with your user page was a good experience for me. I am glad you like it. I did the best I could with what little time I had. In a way your complements helped me, because I hardly ever get appreciated for my works in real life from my former employers. I suffer from depression, but helping you has cheered me up. If I only had an award to give to you, I'd give you one. :) But since you collect signatures, here is mine. --2nd_Lt Orion Blastar (talk) 02:59, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Excellent, another sig for my evil plot posterity. Actually, I really never thanked you for something else, so I will now. In my wee little n00bish days here, my second article to be exact (Sith Vicious), I really didn't know what I was doing too well. Anyway, for the categories I think I was just kinda winging it and making them up and I made a Fictional Character Amalgamations (even though, in hindsight, Sid Vicious wasn't fictional so I guess that really made no sense). I guess that was a red link no-no, and I'm sure many others may have deleted that red link and been done with it, but you created the category and even gave it a write-up which was absolutely hysterical. I really laughed my ass off about it, and sorta felt good about that because it was the first time another user specifically branched off of something I wrote, so I felt like it was a welcoming of sorts. So, in reality (whatever that place is) this is the second time you helped me out.
It's funny, at first I wasn't quite sure how I liked this method of communication, but the more experience I gain with it, especially at Uncyclopedia, the more I dig it. It is a great community, which is bittersweet because I enjoy my neighbors here more than my neighbors in the land of the real. My real neighbors aren't so funny and the last time I asked the woman next door if she could "code my user page" she threatened me with lawyers. Lawyers who live across the street. So now the whole neighborhood knows about it and they don't even let me know when they throw a block party and when I see (like I'm not gonna see them) and go out, they all scatter and go inside their houses until I leave. Of course, I probably made most of that up, but in the back of my mind I probably wish it were true because then I'd no longer have to talk to my unfunny neighbors. But yeah, anyway, I really enjoy this community as well. Keep on keepin' on, Orion. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 03:48, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey Immy[edit | edit source]

Thanks for the vote on Cambodia. I'm glad you liked it. And sure, writery is a word if you say so. Thanks for the compliment. Until Cambodia started getting a few votes I was thinking of doing an article on Damned by Faint Praise or maybe Deafening silence. Cheers -- Sir Armando Perentie Icons-flag-au.png KUN FP 02:43, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey, no problem. In truth, Cambodia is not funny, but that article sure is. Sometimes the best way to not cry at something is to laugh your ass off. Thanks for the help with that; hope to see it featured. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 15:27, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

Good enough for VFH?[edit | edit source]

From the Emperor of these, our Lone Islands of Comic Fiction, King of Attempted Gargantuan Hilarity, and Grand Champion of All Things Silly,

Greetings!

Should you have a few spare moments to view the following articles and laugh or cry, we would appreciate your comments, either here or on our user page:

Our thanks...--Shandon 19:29, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

You know what's wierd, if you do a search for plantir and palatir, you get results for the same thing. Maybe Tolkien wrote it both ways? Thanks for your comments.--Shandon 19:50, 27 July 2006 (UTC) Also I have added a little quip by Secret User heh heh TB at the end.
Yeah, I just noticed that while sneaking through Recent Changes — great job with it. It's an excellent quote, and it'll definitely please those familiar with zee superior bookage. Actually, when I had written that first note, I hadn't seen the note here yet. So yeah, they're all great. I of course am partial to the Google Middle Earth, being a Tolkien fan as you have just recently learned, and the American Postman is my second fav of the three. TWATG (also the name of the most inappropriately named rapper of all time) is also great, some good funny in there, but just not quite as excellent as the other two, IMO. But once again, that's just personal preference — I'm sure there are Norse fans aplenty who'll eat Garm up. By the way, since we're talking opinions, what do you think of this? Figured I'd turn the tables on you there. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 20:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
I had seen this on the VFH list, & now I'll vote for it. I like the TV Guide image especially. It's funny how much humor is directed by personal preference & knowledge--I think my UnBook on the 60s and zombie rights is funny as hell, but no one else seems to know as much about that era as I do. Anywaysssss...back to the grindstone...--Shandon 20:41, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
BTW have you read Very Secret Diaries???--Shandon 23:26, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh dear, I've done a terrible terrible thing. There being no Tom Bombadil article, I have started one. I strongly encourage you to contribute to this abortive creation!--Shandon 02:41, 28 July 2006 (UTC) And, uh, also, if you want to add to this stupid LOTR idea, that would be cool too.
Hey, lotsa LOTR stuff, huh? I'm a bit tied up at thee moment with water-based activities, but when I'm back in action I'll check 'em out. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 19:29, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Neato, I am painting a friend's apartment this weekend.--Shandon 23:34, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Howdy, I would like to know what you think of The Very Secret Diaries, once you have read them (how are those waterwings, by the way?)....--Shandon 05:28, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Finally got around to reading it, well, most of it anyway. Pretty funny stuff. I was dissappointed that the Gollum one wasn't written with his speech patterns (I know, I know... she gave a reason for that, but still). Regardless, there were some good laughs in there — thanks for the link.
The waves were decent on Friday, but the continuing winds have removed the topmost layer of warm water, which wasn't very warm to begin with, and the water from the chilly depths has risen in its place. I gotta get a new springsuit, or at least some thermal underwear.
I ended up using the "Signed, Endless, Nameless" bit on Smells Like Teen Spirit, so I credited you in the edit history for that edit. Hope that's alright with you. Are you entering the Poo Lit? Did we already discuss that? If so, good luck to ya. Oh and congrats on the win(s) for last month. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 05:48, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed the diaries. A friend and I sent emails back and forth for the better part of last year, instructing the other to stay away from "MY" hobbit and the strawberry-scented soap...and to watch out for the Pointy Hat Trick.

As you're a judge (yes?), I haven't asked you for your opinions about the articles I am working on. Though I would like to...--Shandon 05:55, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I think that'd be against some bylaw somewhere. But I think I'm allowed to after the whole competition thing has ended. Are you going to enter one in every category? If so, I look forward to reading your work (though I'll most likely read it anyway). -- Imrealized ...hmm? 06:01, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Well I don't think I'll enter under Best Illustrated. Not my strong point. Assemblage is OK, execution is sometimes ugly. And somebody with a trans-gender god has probably got me beat under Best Article. But you can expect a couple of strong showings under the other two.--Shandon 06:08, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I'm very much interested... I was thinking about entering this time around but I'd rather let the newer contributors have a go and just look on and cast judgement from some kinda regal judgement box — we'll have a regal judgement box, right? If not, I'm in anyway. Just let me know of any details and I'll have my peepers and rugged intellect at the ready. Thanks for the invite. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 19:29, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Looks like Smells Like Teen Spirit is doing very well on VFH, its a real classy article and I can't wait to see it highlighted. I'll be whoring it unmercilessly on IRC until it is. Obviously a lot of what goes on here is about individual taste, but from my perspective this is up there with your best work. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

I thank you again for your help with it (Albino is perhaps the strongest bit there plus, as I said, I couldn't have formatted that table properly myself) and for your unmerciless whoring in IRC. Yeah, it did all sort of fall into place. I cut loose the covers from Unplugged because honestly, trying to find a way to work in Jesus Don't Want Me For A Sunbeam seemed like sheer madness. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 15:29, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I'm working on a typical piece of drivel and would appreciate it if you had a moment to comment. I will add pics later! Thx--Shandon 04:40, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

I enjoyed it. You've written some damn fine banter and the two characters work well off of one another. Lots of funny in this one. The James Cameron special edition ending is a nice finale, I think. You really like Meatloaf a lot. I'll go back and read it again when I've got a bit more time (trying to bang out an article of me own and hoping to finish tonight, maybe). -- Imrealized ...hmm? 05:13, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Let me know if you want me to have a glance at the article you are working on...--Shandon 05:21, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Sure thing, if you feel like it. I didn't quite finish (got one section and two subsections to go) but I gotta get some sleep. It is Rorschach Inkblot Acid Test and it poses the question — what if Hermann Rorschach and his team of superpsychiatrists goofed around Switzerland like Ken Kesey and The Merry Pranksters. The Albert Hofmann = Abbie Hoffman parallel might be a bit obvious, but I'll let you be the judge. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 06:56, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

You've got a lot of content there! I like the photo of the guy looking at the ink stain on his shirt; that really sums it up. The description of HR's early life is quite good. Look forward to the entirety!--Shandon 16:06, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

This template rocks. Armageddon rocks. Christian's brains? Rocks. I was glad to see such overwhelming support for such an excellent visual marvel. Your work really does impress me quite a bit, especially your "real" work (of the hand-drawn variety). But you've really come into your own with the 'choppin as well. Glad I could, umm, vote for something excellent. Thanks for the thanks, and the template. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 04:57, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
I draw ok now, because I used to draw instead of pay attention in school (and if you spend twelve years sketching instead of learning, becoming competent at it is inescapable). Mice are cool and all, but with scanners costing less than a hundred bucks the pencil has returned as my favourite i/p device. Both have their place, I guess.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:15, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. I wants to get me one of those computery pen thingies because I prefer ball-point over every other medium known to man. Poor man's art, or something. I am also of the "Drewed Insteed of Pait Atendshun In School" school of art which, in hindsight, was probably the best thing for me. But yeah, you've really got your own style to your work, which is great. I might have to steal it one day. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 05:22, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Pen's good, as long as it follows pencil (as the latter is easier to erase than the former). Wacom 6X8 USB tablets are down to $299.99Cdn. I dunno what that works out to where you are, but it's a lot of money to spend to avoid using a pencil.
You're right about school. I have yet to regret not paying attention in Trig, or Dead White Men Lit: the only thing school is good for is to qualify you for more school. Luckily I stumbled from job to job to career without that university crap, most of which is only good for getting a job a Starbuck's.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 05:35, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
When a former Harvard professor mentions the grand joke that is basically any modern school setting in almost every one of his books, you gotta ask yourself, "What was this guy on?" Oops... I've got LSD on the brain because of my recent in-the-works piece (see above section for reference). Sorry. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 07:00, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
That's perfectly normal. No need for apology. When I'm half-way through most of the crap that I write, I see it everywhere. Which is funny for stuff like Das Love Boot, but disturbing with American Fundie Magazine. The human mind, as they say, is a wonderful thing to waste. Oh, and now you've got me looking seriously at getting a Wacom tablet. I don't know whether to curse or thank you. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 07:27, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the laughs (I love thanking people for laughs... they're one of the best reasons for gratitude around). It seems like VFH is currently at a standstill, what with all the hullabaloo over in the forums, but I thank you for your vote and for personalizing the score tally on Rorschach. Looks like we'll both be waiting to get any sort of votes until things over there reach a magnificent crescendo, break all the windows and make all our ears bleed. Then things may go back to normal. Or, as normal as they get here, anyway. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 05:38, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

All good fun[edit | edit source]

Thanks for the note. After 8 years at eBay, if I know anything it's the following:

  • The users are always right and management is dumb. Listed to the users
  • Small errors can become big errors, so fix em quick, have humility, and appologize profusely
  • We're about making you happy, and giving you a fun place to contribute. I am a HUGE adocate of getting you guys in the paper, and we're actually working with our PR agency to do "user stories" where we interiew you, then pitch your story to reporters, as my goal is to get every user in the news, NOT ME, so I can go home and see my kids :-)

Net - I would REALLY encourage you to get the dialog going on as many spokespeople as possible - as I think it would be a HOOT. Gil 03:12, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Well spoken, er, typed words. Except maybe, in some cases, when a user was wrong (like I was). Maybe one day I'll learn not to jump to hasty conclusions. Thanks for your understanding :). As far as the dialog going, it appears to be doing just that. Unfortunately I don't draw a great deal of water in these parts, so I may not be involved, at least not directly, with the HOOT you speak of, but I am looking forward to observing it nonetheless. There are many others (admins and long-term contributors) who are probably more qualified than I am to handle PR anyway. But I, for what it's worth, love these ideas you speak of and hope they are able to reach fruition. I hear that love spreads more easily than margarine. Something about animal fat. Is this true, because I might make the switch?? Also, you are most welcome — as I said on the official vote, it was my most favourite of the Illustrated Poo Liters, hence my top pick. The intro pic is excellent, hand-drawn and you were kind enough to release it into the wilds of cyberspace, for free nonetheless, which won big points in my book. Of course something British won because of the well-documented Comedy Hierarchy Principle, which is almost like the Food Pyramid, but that's neither here nor there nor anywhere else besides my own mind, which is a depraved place and shouldn't have even been mentioned. But yeah, the thing was that saying I wasn't going to respond was a response and a weak attempt at being funny on my part. My bad. Incidentally, my heart and most of my internal organs were surgically replaced with an artificial bong a few years back, so I've placed your thank you on my mantle, right next to my dead pet Capuchin monkey, Mr. Pib, who has been bronzed in his favourite position. Mr. Pib — how he loved to fling his poo. Which, in an odd way, keeps things in perspective for me. And people say I'm strange. Ha. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 04:14, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Bureaucracy Channel, The[edit | edit source]

Any resemblance to Brazil is purely coincidental. Coincidentally, it used to be my favourite movie. --Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 00:56, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

One of mine as well. Perhaps it was just the tone or mood of the piece- I certainly didn't mean to imply the pilfering of jokes or anything or that nature. It was more like a "It triggered the same funny receptors as Brazil", or "It didn't have nearly enough Robert DeNiro". You know, along those lines. But great job with it (as usual). -- Imrealized ...hmm? 07:19, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

The Uncyclopedian's Song[edit | edit source]

From VFH:

  • Very weak for and I'll tell ya why... I really do love this. The audio is amazing. I also love in-jokes. But I do think this needs at least some expansion to resemble an article instead of just the song lyrics. Some story of the song's conception or the like. Still, I cannot vote against such fine work, and the very weak is merely ornamental. -- Imrealized ...hmm? 15:36, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Would you like to expand the article? Whatever I came up with would either be completely random and silly, or worse, too close to the truth, which is I was pissed at Anonymous Slashy and listening to too much Tom Lehrer. Everybody, including me, is sick of Slashy, so I don't really want to go there. Obviously, the lyrics should stay as they are, or they won't match the audio, but I'd love for someone to expand it otherwise. Plus, I'm gearing up to start the next one, (which I will try and have some more depth to the article), so I'm going to be a tad busy. Tvcc.jpg Bradaphraser was throwing away last year's Christmas cards, and
realised they had purposefully forgotten about you.
This user is completely thoughtless, doesn't care about Multi-culturalism,
and therefore DEMANDS you have yourself a Merry little Christmas... NOW!

Failure to comply with result in disciplinary action up to and including excommunication from the Capitalist Church

May you focus on your successes and forget your failures here at the end of the year. Never forget how we all improve one another's lives. Season's Greetings.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 17:35, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Right back 'atcha, Brad. I miss this place. A lot. The good news is that an extremely busy portion of my life is about to wind down, freeing me up to unfurl many articles that have been gallivanting solely in my imagination. The bad news..? You're gonna have to read them. Well, not necessarily you, but someone. Maybe several people. Mark my words - the world will laugh. At me, not with me. But that's the way I rock it. Here's hoping that you and yours (I just wanted to say "you and yours" because it's something I hardly say) awaken December 25th to a snow-covered Texas, eat a nice ham breakfast, put together a bicycle built for how ever many people "you and yours" is comprised of, ride said bicycle through the wintry Southern streets, but safely with new helmets and elbow pads and such, go home to enjoy a nice ham dinner, and fall asleep with ham-filled bellies and blissful spirits. Or however it is you choose to celebrate - I just pictured you as the type of person who really enjoys ham and wants those he's closest with to embrace his passion for cured pig haunch. I picture strange things. Sorry. Anyways, Merry Christmas and I'll be seeing you real soon (hopefully in time to enter the exciting Brad-engineered PLS) -- Imrealized ...hmm? 05:59, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

THANKS![edit | edit source]

Newcookie.gif Somebody has awarded you a cookie!
Now go play in traffic.

Thanks you for the vote! I wasn't trying to stump for votes with the XMas cards, really... no, I wasn't, I swear! OK, maybe a little, but your kind words were far more than I ever would have expected. Thank you again, and good luck in the competition.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 13:36, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
