I was unceremonously and rather unfairly kicked from the chatroom just now. I came in the room and all I said was "hey". One user said, "Shut up", to which I replied, "Go bake a cake". (Without any contemptful intent, though random.) I was then kicked! So I went back in, to find out what the hell that was all about, I was kicked again! Did I break some unspoken rule? How the heck is that "being a dick"? No one has ever told me to shut up for no reason, similarly, no one has every been totally silent on the IRC before. I wanted to know where everyone went, and I'm greeted with someone saying "shut up". Everyone always greets me nicely on there. I fail to see how I was being jerky. Annoying, maybe. It doesn't. All a kick does is literally kick you out of the channel, and you can rejoin anytime you want to, or even set an auto-rejoin feature. Sometimes they're used as warnings or jokes. Hopefully people will start filling this up so you can see that kicking is just something done for fun, with no harmful intent implied. Now, when you get banned, THAT'S when you have to worry. Being kicked is either a warning or a joke. When Tom kicked you, that was a warning. When Savethemooses kicked you, it was a joke. Don't take either personally. Like Dr. Skullthumper said, you can easily rejoin after being kicked, or have your client auto-rejoin for you. Ah, awfully sorry about this mess, Heck no techno. See, the autumn months are not really the best time to be on Uncyclopedia. I'm not suggesting that you should leave, of course, just be a little cautious. If you think the whole place is grumpy and bitter now, you should have been here at this time last year, hoo boy... some of us thought it would never end. Still, I'm convinced it's a seasonal thing; so here, have an umbrella to guard against the shitstorms. Keep your head up, write some funny (skilled or unskilled, just give it a shot), and watch out for the flying Technicolor penguins. Remember: They can't hurt you if you don't let them.
