You seemed to maked clear that "the joke wasn't that...good", well how could I maked it better? Aswell, let me point out that it was not a simple photoshop (to me, the one who did it), because I had to color the background by hand, and make the "Football Fields" font readable. yeah it was unfair to say it was a simple photoshop since i've never seen the source image. it's very well made, just not very ambitious, i mean it doesn't look like you've edited that much of it. i'm not one to talk anyway, my photoshopping ability is laughable.

I'm not quite sure I even get the joke either. Is it that people measure distances by football pitches, or that people from different countries measure by different sports?

sadly, the sub pages need to be moved individually, and then the redirects have to be listed on QVFD. It sucks, but best to do it before it gets even larger. The main page for the game doesn't need to be moved, though.---Rev. Isra (talk) 23:11, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Heya,

I just wanted some clarification on your comments on VFH.

(1.) What are the "the two articles between lines need headings and slight expansion" that you are referring to? It's one article (an interview, actually) with some introduction headings and quotes sprinkled throughout?

(2.) I'm not sure why the formatting seems "dirty" to you, but I will say that it is difficult to format an article that looks equally nice on any browser and any screensize. Sorry if it looks bad to you. Can you give me more detail, or maybe a screenshot?

(3.) You may not have read this thread on the forum, but per RC: "you're voting on THE QUALITY OF THE CONTENT ONLY" (those are his upper caps, not mine). So if the article was boring, or offensive, or unfunny, I can accept that, but it didn't seem like you evaluated the quality of my writing.

(1.) article was meant to be sentence, i've been drinking. the two sentences between the interview have lines. seems like either they should have one heading between them or else be expanded into individual sections. the interview's good, what's before it seems disjointed

(2.) by dirty formatting i meant the begining bit^ and also the varying sized images, from small to giant, the largest of which was obscuring text on firefox. and the quote boxes aren't all aligned.

(3.) although voting should be based on content you can't deny if you saw a funny well written article in one giant section with no paragraphs and scattered images you'd be put off. not saying this of your article, just taking an extreme example.

Hi,

Not much I can do about #1, I'm afraid. Those sentences between the lines are what they are: just a setup to introduce the fact that you're about to read an interview, and then introducing who the interviewee is.

The images (#2) are thumbnailed, except for the recipe. I could make the recipe as small as he other pix, but it would be unreadable.

I removed some of the quotes to clean up the space. They were from another user, and I thought it would be nice to keep them if possible, but if it's causing a clutter I guess it's not worth it. Unfortunately, I can't add "sections" to keep the pictures separate because of the "interview" format of the article.

UnBooks, UnNews stories, and anything else is fair game for the front page. If you disagree, fine, but you've demonstrated a recent tendency to vote against writing that you admit is good, based on reasons that have nothing to do with the "QUALITY OF THE WRITING" (As Rc's voice echoes through the hallowed halls).
