Welcome![edit source]
Here are some links to see if you have the time:
- Beginner's Guide
- Our Vanity Policies - why we don't care about your friends
- How to be funny and not just stupid
There are more of them, but those three are the most important.
Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button () above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date. If you don't, we'll have to go to the history to discover who made the edit, and add a template for it. It's a lot of researching, dude.
When you create an article, please make an encyclopedic subject (something that people know of). It is best to start by creating them in your userspace, for example: User:DoctorRainCloud/Insert Title Here. Please remember to follow the guidelines and don't be upset if your article gets deleted if you do not. If you are writing an article in mainspace, however, and you are not finished yet, put a {{construction}} template on it.
As mentioned before, please don't write articles about you, your friends, your teachers, or anybody that is being attacked. Also remember to not remove any content from pages, as your editing privileges may be taken away.
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Or, if you're really confused, drop into "adopt a noob" and you'll get adopted by one of these fine fellows. Cool, huh?
The main purpose of Uncyclopedia is to have fun, so don't feel under pressure because we're all nice people.-- Lollipop - 01:15, 10 July 2011
Subjective humor aside[edit source]
It's poor form to edit a featured article while it's still on the main page. Also, reverting an edit of said article's author is also poor form. -OptyC Sucks! CUN19:24, 13 Aug
- Also read that edit summary I just made for my reasoning. Also sorry for bein' the dick. -- 19:25, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
- I understand but why not just make them fully protected rather than letting registred users dick around with them? Besides, I was reverting his reverting of my addition, which itself didn't affect his writing. This is a wiki after all.--DoctorRainCloud 20:27, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
- Good compromise? And it was a good idea, too. Don't mistake me for some crazy blind fascist asshole, because I'm not blind. I just like to screen all additions made to the articles that I've primarily, or completely, written, and I took your initial edit at face value without giving it much consideration. Thanks for making me reconsider, though, because it's a good idea that made a fine addition. -- 21:07, August 13, 2011 (UTC)
