Apology
A week ago or so, I had a go at that Do Not Click Links article on its talk page.
Your reply was sufficiently well-mannered that I'm now wracked with guilt for having been such an arse in the first place :)
As such I'd like to apologise. Seems I temporarily forgot people on the internet are real... Smowton 18:22, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, here you are worrying about it and I didn't even care. ;) I just took it as a vote against. The VFH page is pretty brutal, and I'd already taken some pretty nasty shots, so you stuff was tame, really. Heck, I've DEALT worse stuff than you did. I appreciate the apology, but it's really not necessary. Just keep enjoying Uncyclopedia, and any criticism (constructive or otherwise ;) ) is welcome. Cheers.--> Correspondent Brad Frasier (Jesusland) CUN [talk] 20:30, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

That, and the article was pretty amusing, I'm actually torn between WoH and Cancer_Porn, so I voted for both, it's a friendly compromise :P --Olipro 15:40, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

Busy for a week and a half
I've actually got work, and a major test, then my wife's vacation from the 15th to the 25th, so if you want to talk to me, I probably will be unavailable until the 26th. Just an FYI. Leave stuff for me here, and I'll try to get to it then.--<<>> 23:59, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Hey, no problem. I thought it was hilarious. In return, all I ask is that you check out quarterback for me. It's my first real article, and I wanted to know what I can do to make it funnier/more memorable. --Eggman n3 22:53, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Peyton Manning
Hey I saw what you added with the "Great Mannings in History". I had been adding to some other articles about how Peyton did all those things. Think it works better if I change those to the Manning family, or go with the 500-year-old quarterback? --Teapot 20:43, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've found that logical misinformation is more the tone of Uncyclopedia, as opposed to straight non-sense (like a QB that's 500+ years old), so I'd personally prefer it being his family. Especially given how "famous" his family is (what with the QB dad and brother). That's just my two cents.--<<>> 21:07, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
- I see what you're shooting for and that sounds like it works better. I didn't think of the whole thing with his family. I'll clean all that up later. Thanks. --Teapot 22:17, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Whoops
Yeah... The 'PC Thumbs up' was meant to be 'PG Tips Two Thumbs Up' after an old advert campaign by the tea company PG tips. Obviously, I fell asleep at the keyboard... I'll go fix it now. --The Rt. Hon. BarryC MUN (Symposium!) Sigh. Double Sigh. 08:49, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey man
I actually just stopped back to see if my requests have been obliged and saw your comment for me in "n00b o' the month". I'm glad you voted against me, but I was upset to hear you thought that I thought you weren't important enough for me to talk to, which really wasn't the case. I've just had a rather tumultous short time here, filled with some drama (which clearly seems out of place to me) and only really went in IRC to try to clear up this crappy situation. But I am a fan of your work and would have welcomed the oppurtunity to speak with you if conditions had been better. I will really only be back to check on the status of some of the stuff I've done here, but didn't want to walk away from this place with you thinking what you thought, but I am sorry to have given that impression. Keep up the great work! --Imrealized 06:01, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. Well, I don't vote politically on the VF pages, I just really felt snubbed that you wanted to talk to someone, I offered, and you just kinda ignored me. Made me feel really insignificant, you know? I'm sorry if things are really going lousy for you. I just like to help people, and get really upset when I'm brushed off (yeah, I'm vain. Aren't we all? ;) ) So, I've taken the against vote off. I DID like your two articles you wrote that made VFH (and I got to read), and would be happy to welcome you if you returned in the future.--<<>> 06:06, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, for someone who said he wasn't going to be around, right? I just came back to check on those things again (to be honest I'll obsess until it's all taken care of) and figured I'd check if you replied. I really do appreciate your candor and your compliments on my stuff and coming from you the compliments are doubley cockle-warming (god, did I really just type cockle-warming?) and I also appreciate the invitation back. To be honest I didn't even see you in that chatroom- I hold my own as a writer off-line but this is a brand new foray for me and trying to read everything and type, I got really confused (do I sound like a total twit now?); but now that I know that I wish I would have talked to you instead- you probably would have been more help. I would honestly looooove to come back, as I enjoy this medium and its pretty exciting to me. And key people really extended a hand and made me feel welcome; unfortunately, others went out of their way to let me know I was not, quite aggressively I feel. I thought about fighting it out and staking a little claim to this site, but its so new and I could see it taking some time to gain acceptance with this "cabal" that was mentioned in comments on that "n00b" thing. Anyway, before I take up all your space, thanks again for your kind words and keep doing the commendable job that you are. --Imrealized 07:02, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks For the Vote
Hey, I know I usually don't thank people for votes.. but this is an exception I guess. I'd like to thank you for voting on Vote Fish Penis, I was surprised because there is definitely some political content in the article, and because you said on IRC that you weren't gonna vote for it for the Main Page. Reasons to become an Atheist
Thank you for taking time to explain the page's history. Tompson didn't actually revert the edits, though from what you've said about the person who seems to think he owns the page, it seems as if he undoubtedly will. While it is definitely anti-Atheism, that isn't necessarily my main problem with it; it's written incredibly poorly, as if a nine-year-old with average intelligence wrote it. It really isn't very funny... you can make fun of Atheists in a way that is fun for all, but this is just plain stupid, as I see it. A lot of it doesn't really even make sense. Painting Atheism to be nihilistic and cynical works well, but trying to make it out as if they're wrong is just plain stupid... since they're right :D XGodx 22:18, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, I agree with you on every point except the "they're right" one. I'd personally rather not get into who's right and who's wrong, as human understanding has such profound limits. (I think therefore I am. ... That's about all I know). This is very liberating in a comedic sense, because I can point and laugh at Christians for being self-important, point and laugh at Muslims for being self-important, point and laugh at scientists for being self-important, and point and laugh at atheists... for - some reason. ;) It's all in good fun and all, anyway. We point at everyone and laugh here. I actually think the fact that the article is implying Christianity is accurate and true, then completely disregards all the teachings of it in its cruelty and lack of empathy is hilarious. But, then again, the "owner" of the article isn't quite as much funnier than everyone else as he thinks he is (...at all), and that article is probably the most racist and homophobic on the site. So there are good qualities and bad qualities. I'm probably going to add something else to it for old time's sake to see if he'll let it stay, myself.
- Several of your edits were terrific and I hope they stay. I look forward to talking with you again in the future.--<<>> 22:44, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

- Primarily, it gets a weak vote because so much of it went over my head. I don't really know what you can do to fix that. I just felt like, "Man, that doesn't make sense... I'm sure it's supposed to be funny" ... very often. It's partly because the subject matter you're dealing with is so heavy (and kinda requires your audience is very well-educated). That's why it got the weak for from me... I feared the subject would go over so many people's heads. I really think you did a good job with a tough subject. I can't really think of how you would do better, other than to choose a different subject. Sorry if that doesn't help much. :(--<<>> 03:50, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
