Hello Uncyclopedia community! Erm, this is YTTE. OK, weird beginning bits aside... I'm in the middle of creating a portal/homepage for the namespace Game with a featured game section, game of the month, recent games etc.. I just wanted to know what people thought of this, whether it's been done before and if it's a silly, poopy idea. - It's a good idea in theory but, in practice, it will require someone to update it regularly, keep it clean and generally tend to it. If you think you can keep it up and do it well, then by all means go for it. --Sir gwax (talk)

- Eh, I'm not really into the Uncyc games as such, hence I didn't really give this much of a look. But seeing as no-one has and you're getting all insecure and stuff - it looks fine to me, generally portal-y, decent layout and so forth. - Quick, nobody else comment! Addendum: Very much against a VFH for games. It's supposed to be a link to all uncyclopedia's games, so why is most of the page taken up with what you can do to nominate and vote for them, with the actual games very last, when it should be about, y'know, the games themselves? If you need a "featured" game at all, it should be no more than a link to a current recommended game, with minimal to no voting and no more awards. • Spang • ☃ • talk • 20:53, 09 May 2008

- You guys, are of course, right! The featured game thing is too big and you just don't need GotM. What I think I'm going to do is reduce the featured thing to a paragraph (similar to the length of UnNews articles featured on UnNews' page) with a link and then a description. Maybe something like a small random game featured could also work, though...or maybe not? It's late(ish) here in the UK, so I'm withdrawing to real life... Ok, so it's not that late, ok, so it's not late at all, that's not the point... ...I'm looking for a nice Uncyclopedia user who's prepared to put a little effort in, cause I was quite hoping to get a "guest" writer to do the "Game Making Advice" section... I asked Rcmurphy, what with him being the Zork Guy (to the best of my understanding), but he doesn't come on here much, so...yeah. Fourth Title (I hope...)
OK, I reckon I'm just going to move my game portal to Game:Home or Game:Portal or Game:Contents and then stick redirects from pages like "Game" to the new game page. As long as I don't get any objections to this, I'll just go ahead and do it. If for some reason you don't think I should do this or like want to save the old game page just slap me and say so below. - Maybe Game:Main Page would be a better idea, as that is generally the industry standard for the portal for a namespace. --
