In eight days you did enough to - by just doing what you've been doing everyday for years - get the record number of votes in the new NoobOfTheMoment, and became probably the shortest serving member to be nominated as Writer of the Month (after 9 days I think).

There's a forum going on. He fucked up in a very funny way. Look at the main page, the Salvador Dali feature. His sockpuppet wrote this while Puppy was banned for a week. His sockpuppet was nominated for Writer of the Month in his ninth day here. He had already won Noob of The Moment with the highest score in the short history of that page. Puppy voted for himself twice on that nomination. He wanted to punch Lyrtherya in the face. There is lots more. It is hilarious, except for the infiban thing, which I think is stupid in a "Can't you take a joke?" way (nobody was hurt, and Puppy had a great nine days!). Aleister 2:22 12-5-'12

Thanks, Aleister.  Wow.  I remember I got banned a couple times here in my early days because....oh, I might get banned again if I even talk about that.  Anyway, this sucks.  Frankly, what Puppy did sounds like what Stephen King did with his alias.  I know someone who got permabanned on Wikipedia for supposedly being a sockpuppet of a user they'd never even heard of.  They had very different editing styles and had never edited the same article, talk page, etc.  A bunch of people were banned for being supposed sockpuppets of this one particular user.  Using the same IP doesn't mean diddly.  Some IP servers switch IP addresses around, some change randomly, and some people use secure serves that share IPs.  Hopefully heads will cool off after a while and they'll let Puppy back.  I miss my uncle! Oh, and Why?, before this all happened he was winning VFS, then got tackled, and quit VFS, and I don't really know what happened next but suddenly he was banned for a week. He kept coming back with different IP's and asking why he was banned, as it sounds like he really didn't know why, and nobody would tell him. lol, it's like a comedy of errors on everyone's part imnho. That's the situation as I understand it, and it seems to me that nothing Puppy did was very damaging to anyone, but I said he deserves a six week ban anyway (see the forum) and gave a formula which seems pretty fair. And now he's doing good work on the mirror site!!! lol. I told him in an email I'd be happy to copy and paste any good new pages he writes there, but I haven't heard from him yet. I don't want to further stir up the shit storm or discuss this at all really. But for accuracy's sake, Puppy was banned for a bunch of things several times before making the sock. Then he was banned infinitely, not only for having it, but for taking a "Fuck you, I do what I want" attitude about it and refusing to admit anything he'd ever done was wrong at all, sock and pre-sock. Yes. In fact, I've noticed that statistically, most recent vandalism is in defense of PuppyOnTheRadio and that a lot of recent QVFDed pages are also in defense of Puppy. For example, a lot of pages were created with "Zombiebaron blocked PuppyOnTheRadio with an expiry time of infinite..." and all of them were deleted. This was about a week or two ago. In-depth discussion is fine, as long as the debate dosn't get irritating or only if it remains strickly emotionless and with a clear purpose.
