Why?
For some reason, you deleted the article List of songs by Wierd al yankovich, and left a message in its wake "Lists burn good". Why did you delete it? I worked real hard on that article! If it's because you confused Wierd al yankovich for "Weird Al" Yankovic, I could understand that, too. User:Unknown 12:30, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
I was wondering
Is there any way I can draw attention to my articles besides Pee Review? I'm asking because I'm still new and want feedback, but it seems like I'm just all alone here with my work...and...I'm lonely. Is it good? Is it bad? I don't know. All I know is that it's good enough not to get NRV'd, uglied, or stubbed. How can I, as a humble n00b, get more info on what I've written? Mrthejazz 07:24, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- The best way to draw attention to your work is to fill your articles with nude webcam photos of yourself, particularly animated ones where you are jigging around in a suggestive fashion. That or just spend time embedding yourself in the community, voting on VFP and VFH, pressing the flesh on people's talk pages and so on. I'm going for the nude photo route myself..... -- Sir Mhaille (talk to me)
- If I were an anime chick that might work. Unfortunately, I am neither. But I've been trying to get more into the community anyway, so...yeah. Thanks for fixing up my page, too. I'm still learning some of the format stuff. Mrthejazz 18:55, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome
What it says on the tin, really. Groovy. --Markfiend 15:19, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
- You're, um, "welcome" I guess. *flagellates self with first available object*. Seriously though, if you get into any difficulties, leave me a note here. If I can't help you, I'll pass it to one of us who can. Happy editing! -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 15:38, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

- Ah, nothing says "meaningful existence" like cold-pressing one's own interpretations and opinions into the squirming cortex of a shiny-faced, slack-jawed freshman. That's what gets me through the early morning T-Th lit surveys (I have to save my holistic discussions for my Friday workshops.) I'm right there with ya, preacher. --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 15:15, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
NRV
Unless you haven't been on ytmnd or digg lately, I think a lot of people would find the Eon8 article pretty funny. Yes, it needs a bit of cleaning up, but the joke revolves around the ambiguity and utter pointlessness of the Hoax, and above all, the cryptic code that's strewn across the internet. If you really think it's THAT bad, I'll write in words although there isn't a lot to poke fun of seeing as it's been around for about 2 days, and nothing has unfolded, and all in all, it's just a hoax, there's not much to be said about it except subtly make fun of it this way.
Gimme a chance, and If no to that, then at least give me a decent reason why it's so bad and I'll leave you alone.
FASDFAS 11:37, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was just reading about it now. I see your point; but I didn't know what it was at first, and it looked like yet another "nonsense" article, which we have plenty of already (see AAAAAAAAA!, ROT13, I18n etc.). Fine. I'm happy to remove the tag, pending Wikipedia's policy on their Eon8 article after the timer completes (generally, we use en.wp as a benchmark for notability of individuals and websites). -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 11:39, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
I had a feeling that was it. Thank you SO much for understanding. FASDFAS 12:03, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
VFD Restrictions
Like most here, I'm new to the site. In my browsing I've found a few shit entries and I want to add them to the VFD page however there's no edit link showing up for me. Is there some sort of restriction on new users putting things up for deletion, and if so, when is it lifted? --Random Pants 10:39, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, yeah. The VFD page is "semi-protected", which means that users who have been registered less than a week can't edit it. This is because we had a lot of abuse of the system by unregistered IPs and people using sockpuppets to influence the voting. In the meanwhile, you can either leave a message for an admin on one of our talk pages asking us to add the pages in question to VFD for you, or if a page is really crap, you can always add the NRV tag like so: {{NRV|~~~~~}} which will flag it for deletion in 7 days. Note the five tildes (~) in the tag which add the timestamp. Hope this helps. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 12:20, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Deletion
Recently, I took a page from the "Most wanted" section for Warez and made a page that praised it. The end of the page has a link to another page that is a parody of what happens when somebody click on the Warez links. Hinoa4 has now twice deleted it (one time of which he switched the link to take users to Do NOT click any links.
What do I do? --Mr.Vib 18:22, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- First of all, you should probably ask me instead of Codeine... >_> Anyway. I thought Game:Warez and Warez were unrelated, but now that I understand that... sure, I'll restore it. —Sir Major Hinoa [TALK] [KUN] 18:25, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry. >.< I'll do that next time. --Mr.Vib 18:26, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

Copyright noting
I'm confused as to which copyright template I'm supposed to use when uploading images that don't have one, since there are two "No License" templates. I may be thinking too much about this, but I want to be sure.--Mr.Vib 17:49, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- It depends on the source of the image. If it's your own work and you're happy to release it into the public domain, then you might choose the "Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike" option; if it's a Photoshop job or suchlike done on an image you acquired from somewhere else, then you might want to select "Edited image by me, released into public domain (possible copyright sources). That said, I'm not sure anybody cares about these things really, but if you feel better knowing that you've got the right license, you can always look at the options in Category:Copyright templates. Hope this helps. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 18:04, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Advanced formatting question
User:Usewho'sname?/bluescreen of death. Just been playing around with this. Is there a way of making it take up the entire screen as in the real Bluescreen of death? Then it could be added as a link to the userpage of someone who is contiually writing QuickVFD stuff. Or is it just me who thinks that would be funny?--Usewho'sname? 10:12, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'd imagine there is a way, viz Babel:ap and suchlike... but it'd probably involve tinkering with Javascript, for which you'd want to speak to Splaka or Algorithm, our resident codemasters. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 10:16, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Hello?
Hello. I'm DragonRidingSorceress.
You sent me a "Welcome" message. This is just to say "Thank you" and "Help me! Please!" as I am rather close to completely lost. However, I am not Italic textquiteItalic text completely lost. As proved by the fact that I am actually writing some sort of a message to you.
I admit, I have yet to read the "Beginner's Help Section" or whatever it's called. I'm sure I'll get around to it as soon as I escape from Darth Real Life and his minions, Darth School and Darth Exams.
Thank you. --DragonRidingSorceress 02:20, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
I hate to leech off somebodies thank-you note, but I do so hate cluttering up the place. I just want to say "thank you" for a swift welcome to Uncyclopedia. It was much appreciated. Sayle 09:52, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

- Wow, thank you! I'm new here, is it like Encyclopedia Dramatica? I do hope so. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 12:04, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
"Oh no why did you delete <INSERT PAGE NAME>, it was the funniest and cleverest thing ever!"
Oh, great Codeine, why will you not allow my 100 Worst Numbers of All Time to be passed? I especially found the top 10 to be at least mildly chuckly worthy? Do you not also think so? – Preceding unsigned comment added by Jnow (talk • contribs)
- I'm afraid not. It failed quality control pretty comprehensively as far as I'm concerned; and considering that it wasn't even anywhere as good as the previous version of that page (which was NRV'd and deleted also), it didn't stand much of a chance of survival. Have a read of HTBFANJS to see where it went wrong, and how you can imporve the survivcal prospects of future articles. Oh, and one more thing; please don't remove a previous comment when leaving a new message on my talk page. Thanks. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 11:36, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Dear wonderful grand master Codeine, why do you say that I should not make my Joshua Armstrong Uncyclopedia article? He is a cult idol and should be worshipped as one. Please reconsider.....there are sexual advantages...... Your Loyal Man Servant
- Uh-huh. Read Uncyclopedia:Vanity policies to see why. Neither a Google search nor a Wikipedia search produce results of a notable "Josh Armstrong"; and like I said in my edit summary, Uncyclopedia is not Livejournal. It's a parody of an encyclopedia. If you want to write oh-so-funny articles about your friends and how lame/great/ghey/etc. they are, I suggest getting yourself a blog. -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 09:25, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Ok my speling is really atrociuose isn't it? Thanks for the corrections. Apart from that does my addition have any merit? very noo to this kinda thing, is it worth me staying around or should i just slink off and crawl back under my rock?--Usewho'sname? 10:59, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- No problems. I'm one of the "Grammar Nazi" admins around here, so I'll often spellcheck new articles if I think they show promise; which to me, Narcolepsy does. I particularly liked the section about good and bad jobs for narcoleptics - I forsee that list growing with time.. :)Please do stick around if you like it here - we're generally a
dangerously unhingednice bunch. Since you're fairly new, my best advice if you want to get a feel for the place is to read the Beginner's Guide and How to be funny and not just stupid, and spend some time looking through some of our better articles (which you can find at Uncyclopedia:Best of). Don't worry about spelling and grammar; like I said, if the article's packed full of funny, then someone will come along and proofread it for you. If you've got any questions or concerns, feel free to leave a message for me here, contact any of the other admins on their talk pages, or create a discussion at the Village Dump. Cheers, and happy editing! -- Sir Codeine K·H·P·B·M·N·C·U·Bu. · (Harangue) 20:09, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Hello, why did you delete my Leisure Pirate page? That article was going to be Slap Bang Bitchin'. I'm recreating it, you'll see. Also, I need it to link in with my Lesbian Party article, which is also Slap Bang Bitchin'.– Preceding unsigned comment added by LeisurePirate (talk • contribs)
- My bad. There's been a lot of crap and vanity appearing today, and to be honest I only gave it a quick glance before deleting it. Go for it. -- Sir Codeine KUN VFP Bur. MDA NS UotM CM +S (Harangue) 14:40, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- Hey. My Camden Leisure Pirate page has been deleted, even though I filled it out with some really cool stuff. It was funny, had lots of original content, some pictures... But I have no idea how to recover the content. I didn't save it on my PC. Can you help get it back? It was seriously good, and took me ages...
I should also mention the page isn't about me, I choose my username after I started writing the article. It sounded neat. - LeisurePirate
- Looks like Todd deleted the article. I can restore it if you like, but I have to say I haven't heard of the "Camden Leisure Pirates", and I live pretty near Camden. Can you elaborate? At the moment, I can see why someone might think it's a vanity page about a bunch of kids. If it's a new social phenomenon in NW1, I'm interested to hear about it. Cheers. -- Sir Codeine KUN VFP Bur. MDA NS UotM CM +S (Harangue) 18:47, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Please do revert it, I'd like to get a copy of it for myself even if it's unworthy. 'Camden Leisure Pirate' is a term I recently heard on The Mighty Boosh (a newish TV show). The article was a bit of fun based on the phrase. It was used to explain the type of fashion of one of the main characters, often involving fancy clothes and a cape or a poncho. I went off on one with the superman section, because he wears a cape too. The stars of the mighty boosh do actually visit Camden Town often, and have has an aftershow at the Barfly... - LeisurePirate
- OK, it's back. I'll leave Todd a note pointing him to this conversation, but I can't guarantee that another admin won't kill it again at some point, so it might be an idea to make a copy in your user space, e.g. User:LeisurePirate/Camden Leisure Pirate. And because I have a soft spot for The Mighty Boosh too. -- Sir Codeine KUN VFP Bur. MDA NS UotM CM +S (Harangue) 19:08, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
