...And what do they think about it? My family obviously think I'm a comedy genius, while my friends' responses range from "You have too much time on your hands" to "You're such a wanker, Mickey".
I'm also appearing on a well-known British game show and put "humour writing" down under interests on my application form. So, I'm telling several million people about my comedy stylings, what about you? -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 17:42, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'd never admit to my community that I'm a sysadmin for the Uncyclomedia Babel foundation; much safer just to let them think that I'm a rent boy at Church and Wellesley or some such... --Carlb 18:57, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- I show my family my unnewses (the non-vulgar ones), and they really enjoy them, however I cannot take them for their word because they are required by Matriarchal and Patriarchal law to like what I do (I got my dad to like a disturbed concert we went to). And then my sister is programed the polar opposite way, and hates everything I do. So really only you guys are my critics, because I have no friends. *cries* Pirate Lord__Sonic80 (Yell • Latest literary excretion) __ 22:50, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I'm her because it allows me to test some comedy muscles. I write stuff, so by definition I have few friends and my family think I'm a sponger Asahatter (annoy) 00:16, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oh what show you gonna be on? Is it the weakest link? Or that Terri Wogan one where nobody wins anything and you have to put up with wogan for its duration? Or Who Wants to be a Millionare? in answear to your question I tell people that I write for this site, my family say it's ok but I can see their dissapointment. My friends just don't care very much, but I hope to do writing as a career. SK Sir Orian57Talk RotM 04:42 6 November 2008
- Countdown. I've been on the last two days and will return again today. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 14:23, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- There's no one called Micky... Is this a plea for attention? Or is you're real name Martin? Did you just make the ameteur mistake of using the T twice? SK Sir Orian57Talk RotM 16:51 6 November 2008
- You could have said "Did you just get an awesome numbers game, beating Carol?" but you didn't. Mickey is a nickname from university. I think someone forgot my name and only got the initial right. Anyway, it stuck. As proof that I'm not making it up, my opponent tomorrow is called Thomas, he has dark hair and wears glasses. His mother was a former series quarter finalist. -- 15Mickey20 (talk to Mickey) 17:01, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

- Most of my friends know that I write stuff for Uncyc, and my family just knows that I spend too much time here. Way, way too much time. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 05:16, Nov 6
- I have to be pretty selective about who I tell. Anyone familiar with my writing here might see how exposing it to the wrong people could possibly get me dumped/shunned/deported/fired/excommunicated/lynched/disowned. --S0.S0S.0S.0S0 10:06, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- I write stuff?! When did that happen?? I showed a few people and they liked it, mainly because my writing is pretty ineffectual... if I told them how much time I spent doing bugger all here though... -- 10:16, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- Everyone I know thinks I'm quite mad. But, for the most part, that's orthogonal to me writing here. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 13:37, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- I used to try to hit on women by talking about my skills on the guitar. Now, I talk about my skills writing for an online comedy wiki. Coincidentally, the amount of sex in my life has decreased approximately 100% in the last few months. 22:33, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, my small number of friends were pretty impressed when I was nominated for Reviewer of the Month. And they liked my anti-intellectualism article. Which, ironically, isn't of very high standard around here. With a further touch of irony, they were the ones who introduced me to Uncyclopedia, and now I know more about it than any of them. Aaah...*does a line of pure irony off a hooker's buttocks* BlueYonder - CONTACT
- You know that's pretty much how I got on, but I never did anything like get nommed for reviewer of the month...or anything of the month for that matter. /me goes off and sobs. Colin ALL YOUR BASEHeaney! Casa Bey Superfly Portfolio 16:50, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

- Most people I know who know I do this wonder why I don't try to make money from writing, which I obviously enjoy, rather than my day job, which I obviously don't. For answer, I point to my regular two-month periods of writer's block, my total lack of motivation to do anything about it, and my abject laziness, before closing the case with a resounding "meh". They like most of my stuff though, so that's cool, I guess. --UU - natter 20:04, Nov 10
- Exactly the same with me, except I'm experiencing a two-year period of writer's block. -- Hindleyite Converse • ?pedia 16:58, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
