Calvin and Hobbes

Calvin and Hobbes was a popular comic strip during the 80s and 90s which discussed various religious ideas. Though he would later become known for his theory of predestination, John Calvin, shown here, was plagued by recurring religious doubt throughout his early career.

  4. For, but.. isn't this image the one on the Main Page next to the featured article? Is there still a point in making the image featured? I only vote for cause it's funny, though.--DiZ 19:29, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
    • Comment All featured images (except ones that get dropped via PFP) get a permanent spot in the image rotation, so even after they've actually been "featured" they'll appear on the front page every now and then. So yeah, there is a point, though the concern that the image might be featured a bit too soon after the article is valid. —rc (t) 20:55, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

  2. Against I like calvin and hobbes as much as anyone, but I don't think the picture is extremely funny. --Atomsk.gif Kaizer the Bjorn takkun Nya? (nya nya) (1961 model!) Check out T61! 02:31, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

  • Comment Possibly not original. This is what §ǚρωξλ£μĦΦφ≈€ƏξßÐÆØΞ had to say about it when he uploaded it. "Thanks! I had originally scanned it for my myspace a long time ago (because calvin and hobbes is one of my favorite comics and I'm an atheist) and thought it would be funny here." Not sure how much of it was scanned and edited since then and whatnot (Like, if the head just got stuck on now, it's probably original enough). I believe all the other images in the article are original though. --monika 21:03, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Comment: Sorry, I failed to mention that I stuck the John Calvin head on later when I put it on Uncyclopedia. I meant just the image of the strip, not the image above. --§ǚρωξλ£μĦΦφ≈€ƏξßÐÆØΞ 21:09, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Good enough for me. --monika 23:22, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Comment: I fixed the hat, which, I think, was the most ragged-est edge of them all. Dunno if its big enough of an improvement, and it might be too blurry now. --§ǚρωξλ£μĦΦφ≈€ƏξßÐÆØΞ 22:46, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
