Humour: | 9.5 | this has seriously got some of the best material in it Ive seen on this site, hence why this article has a well deserved feature nomination.
Introduction - The introduction to this article has a very nice combination of basis to fact and dramatic sarcasm and satire. They well balance each other and are provided with very good timing, quality and quantity. I cannot at all fault your introduction. Origins - The humour produced from the carefully controlled sarcasm and satire here is brilliant. The joke of the idea being "original" for example, is perfectly well done. Characters (2003-2010) - This in my mind was the only point that stopped this being a 10 and not a 9.5. This section is too brief in my mind, whilst the content there is reasonaably humourous, this idea just needs to be expanded upon, not just a sentence for each characters. But don't over do it, in my mind 2-3 sentences would be enough. A paragrpah for each would be over doing it. A time of troubles - This section could stand for a slight polish up, the first paragraph in particular shows a slight heading towards being a bit random than the sarcasm and satire that made the rest of this article great. But the ajustment needed is very slight, do not re-write it completely, try a better choice of words here. Hopeless, Hopeless, Always with the Hopelessness - This is a very humourous representation of what happened during the shows decline (its even funnier than how it worked in real life!) The image you've used in this section produces a lot of humour by itself, but i'll dicuss your image choices latter. Characters (2010 - ) - The humour here comes from the fact it is so brief, so there is no need for you to change anything here. Growing Up - Your continually use of immature humour in a sarcastic way with reference to the show throughout your article is truly hilarious, and this section is probably the best of the entire article. The Dark and Distant Future - This section also shows a slight inclination to being random, but this is the least of your worries in my opinion. To sum it all up this article is truly hilarious well done! |
Concept: | 9 | This article demonstrates a truly well developed concept of the series, a deep understanding of it, and generally what funny is. As I mentioned above though, you provide little detail on the characters of the series. In order for a 10 out of 10 here, I believe you need a more detailed concept of the shows characters (even just the main characters, would be plenty) and the concept of the show in general would improve grealy as a result. |
Prose and formatting: | 7 | I'll try and keep it brief, here. But you need more interwiki links than you have, especially in the later sections (which have few to none). Linking it to other articles, can also produce humour if used corrently, but humour this article certainly does not lack in!
Also perhaps with character or similar sections, you should bold the characters name for the reader. It looks more attrative than it all being the same. |
Images: | 8.5 | You haven't choosen a great deal of images, but they have high quality and ae perfectly timed and placed with one another. the first and third images used are especially funny, being the replacing of one face being the only difference to back up the humour of the text you have choosen.
The other two images may appear to be random but are extremely appropriate to the sections they appear in. |
Miscellaneous: | 9 | Overall feel |
Final Score: | 43 | I loved it, I'm certainly vting for this one to be featured.
Mature, funny articles like this are in short supply. Too many are trashed by random quotes and jokes, its good to see one this exceptational! |
