Y'alright, why not. 1234 ~ 16px-Pointy.png 23:01, 5 September 2011
Humour: 7 This is so silly. And full of big words. And silly.

But anyway, in a massive effort to pretend to be useful, I'll say some actual stuff now. This is me saying actual stuff now. Now I'll even say stuff about the article, even though I really don't have much to say about it. Uh... stuff.

But seriously, er... well, it starts out pretty haha er... what? sort of thing, which is fine, but perhaps there could be more related to the actual things earlier on? Or am I just missing it, in my cluelessness? Are you terribly familiar with these things either? What's the deal with Ag14, though? Why's it so special? What is it? If it's named, is it important? Is there anything we could go to for more about the name, perhaps a wp page? I mean, sure, apparently it made it out of the urine and into the sweat, but none of the ones in the urine have names, so surely there's something more than that...

How does evolution being not nice to them cause them to be cliquey and aloof? It seems like you're going in some other direction but then just come back to socialness.

Why's it surprising that the chicks saw through the pheromone mimicry? Especially if they were still covered in urine at that point, that doesn't seem surprising at all.

Do losers usually have strong egos?

Concept: 9 Yeah, that's... well, it works, but it's bloody bizarre, not that I've really no idea what else you might have done, so whatever. Bizarre may have been the only way about it, for such a topic.
Prose and formatting: 6 Eh, some of the sentences are a little choppy, especially at first, but they even out as it goes. Has good tone; doesn't overdo the derision, but is still clearly there... yadda.

Other random sentences:

  • "While transporting urine may not have earned them many friends, it helped them make ends meet by performing odd jobs around the body, particularly during the "wet" seasons of summer and winter." I don't understand this sentence. Doing it helped them perform odd jobs?
  • "Them being..." - Is that right? No, seriously, is it? I have no idea, but it doesn't seem right.
  • "...their names..." Their names or their name? Are they a collective, or did all the individuals? Or just some of the individuals? Are there any non-major ones left? If so, are they more or less loser-like as a result?

As for format, it looks like an article, so that'll do. Is a fair amount of white space, spindly paragraphs and whatnot, but that's better than dragging on. I'unno. Taco?

Images: 6 Well, the images make sense, though they aren't terribly special. Top one's caption is a little odd - arrows? Are you sure those are arrows? Could be something else. Although what do other proteins look like? You should get some sort of comparison going or something, since we're all probably pretty clueless-like here.
Miscellaneous: 7 I really love yaks... you know?
Final Score: 35 Dammit, I've done way too many reviews today and my brain is totally fried. In fact I left this before and now I've no idea what this thing says, so I'm just going to save it now and hope there's something vaguely useful in it, but I'm not going to get my hopes up...

Oh. I seem to be blocked. This is an interesting turn of events...

...perhaps I should have left myself blocked. Oh well, here's your review. o_O

Humour
The implementation, how funny the article comes out...
This is so silly. And full of big words. And silly.

The idea, the angle, the grand funny of the article...
Yeah, that's... well, it works, but it's bloody bizarre, not that I've really no idea what else you might have done, so whatever. Bizarre may have been the only way about it, for such a topic.

Images
The graphics themselves, as well as their humour and relevance...
Well, the images make sense, though they aren't terribly special. Top one's caption is a little odd - arrows? Are you sure those are arrows? Could be something else.
