  1. . Yes, I know it's an unusual entry, and it refers to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But even though the picture changes (if you've seen it once, you have to see it again), the answer is always the same. User:Why do I need to provide this?/sig7 00:42, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

  1. Against. I was amused by this joke when I read it in The Hitchhiker's Guide sixteen years ago. Now, it's staler than the cunt of a hooker made entirely of French bread and left in the trunk of my car for a week. Besides, Uncyclopedia doesn't exist to showcase already-famous jokes. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 02:04, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Just one thing: This page wasn't meant to be funny. Call it interpretationalist art or whatever, but it's meant as more than just a reproduction of the original Hitchhiker's joke. 2. Against for two reasons. One, I saw it coming from a mile away. This is a problem because people who know about HHGTTG won't laugh out loud at it, since they're already familiar with it. The people who haven't heard of HHGTTG and are therefore unfamiliar with the joke's background won't understand this page. Two, for me to vote in favor of something on VFH it would have to be front-page presentable. For this reason I tend to not vote for very short pages that don't fill the featured article template, regardless of how funny or in-jokey they are. Andorin Kato 02:10, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
Um. Why would anyone need to laugh out loud to this? See my previous comment. Sir SockySexy girls.jpg Mermaid with dolphin.jpg Tired Marilyn Monroe.jpg (talk) (stalk)Magnemite.gif Icons-flag-be.png GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotYPotM WotM 02:18, 4 December 2009
  3. Against. Good thing it's not meant to be funny. Probably we should only feature funny articles. Slithy Tove 02:28, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
It doesn't have to be funny, you know. There's also parody and satire and some other stuff too probably. Just saying. Sir SockySexy girls.jpg Mermaid with dolphin.jpg Tired Marilyn Monroe.jpg (talk) (stalk)Magnemite.gif Icons-flag-be.png GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotYPotM WotM 02:31, 4 December 2009
  4. Against - 23 is a much more mystic number. -- Kip the Egg Easter egg.gif Talk Easter egg.gif Works Easter egg.gif 02:42, Dec. 4, 2009
  5. This isn't going to get featured. So let's just close the nom please. Sir SockySexy girls.jpg Mermaid with dolphin.jpg Tired Marilyn Monroe.jpg (talk) (stalk)Magnemite.gif Icons-flag-be.png GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotYPotM WotM 02:52, 4 December 2009
  6. No. This wasn't funny to me when I saw the original episode, and even less so on Uncyc. Necropaxx (T) {~} Friday, 02:57, Dec 4 2009
Um. I said a couple things above, so yeah. Sir SockySexy girls.jpg Mermaid with dolphin.jpg Tired Marilyn Monroe.jpg (talk) (stalk)Magnemite.gif Icons-flag-be.png GUN SotM UotM PMotM UotYPotM WotM 02:59, 4 December 2009

  • After purging the page several times and seeing that it's more than just a big 42 on a page (the backgrounds change, after all), I'm changing my vote to abstain. Yeah, it's good, but I still can't vote for on the page length grounds mentioned in my previous vote. --Andorin Kato 02:41, Dec. 4, 2009 (UTC)
    • I checked the code and the backgrounds, and, sure, it's well put together. I'd vote to keep it if this were VFD, for what that's worth. But I'm still voting against on the grounds that it's nothing we should feature. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 02:45, December 4, 2009 (UTC)
