Forum:Uncyclopedia Live
I've noticed that a lot of Uncyclopedians are very talented! Some write witty songs for UnTunes, some write clever news parodies for UnNews, and some write hilarious rants and other articles for the main Uncyclopedia. Well, I think there should be a live event! Not a Skype or conference call! An in-person concert (or convention), where Uncyclopedia fans can hear Uncyclopedians performing their classic UnTunes live, doing their UnNews routines as stand-up comedy, and maybe have workshops where the UnScripts plays can be acted out, as if they were actual Broadway plays! An Uncyclopedia event! Anyone willing to organize? Anyone in on it? Our humor-wiki rival Encyclopedia Dramatica did one in Chicago in 2010. Why can't we somewhere? All these websites are doing live events; Dramatica, YouTube, Looper's Delight; how about us? 69.64.64.72 08:19, November 4, 2012 (UTC)
- I'd probably be too poor to afford the plane ticket, since we have writers in Australia and UK. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 07:07, November 5, 2012 (UTC)
- It's a great idea, but I'm not sure where we could hold this convention (or, for that matter, where we could hold it that they would let us filthy Uncyclopedians in and who would pay for it all). It's probably not achievable before 2013, but it's definitely an option to consider. ~[ths] UotM 07:20, 11/05/2012

- As far as where it should be held, we should vote! Somehow, I have this feeling that the US has the most Uncyclopedians. And for the British and anglophile Uncyclopedians, there can be one over there. We could make this thing international! Are any of you guys familiar with Inciclopedia? It's an online group, just like us, except it is all Spanish-speaking. We could have an Uncyclopedia convention in the US, an Inciclopedia convention in Mexico (or Florida, since there's a bunch of Cubans, lol). But Uncyclopedia and affiliates can have conventions wherever possible! 69.64.64.72 08:35, November 7, 2012 (UTC)
- I understand some of the Brit Uncyclopedians did meet some time ago but the experience was so disturbing that it hasn't been held since. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 09:02, November 7, 2012 (UTC)
- I have experience with telephone chat conference calls! What if we held one of those? Then people wouldn't have to leave their happy places! We could have our UnTunes musicians singing over the phone, people reading the news (being Uncyclopedia, they would be reading a fake news report, UnNews is best), people having a "did you know" type talk session, and maybe even an Un-talk show! But we would present it in a way that it doesn't sound fake at first. "And now, today's news!" (Followed by the reading of latest UnNews articles). It would be a little Un-variety show, over the phone! A conference call only takes me a few minutes to program! Maybe a wiki sysop could place a banner ad for it, where users can click for tune-in directions (which I would write). Then I could put a recording of it on my server, and Uncyclopedians will be able to download it! 69.64.64.72 10:26, November 7, 2012 (UTC)

So are we gonna get dis show on da road?
Let's hold a vote. Should we do an Uncyclopedia Live?
- Boner. -- Кıяву Тαгк Сойтяıвs 2012-11-09T01:34
- For, conference call(s). I am a lot more funny when speak than when writing, trust me. Seriously. I have all of my friends laughing their asses off when I speak; I don't want to gloat or act like an ass so let me stop there. But I think a conference call would be good via Skype, since everyone can do that regardless of where they are and when. Now we just need to coordinate times. Anyone? →L A B O R A T O R I E S 00:04, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
- For even though I don't have a Skype and my Internet sucks at livestreaming. ~[ths] UotM 01:03, 11/10/2012
- My moment of boner 07:16, November 13, 2012 (UTC)
Should it be actually live, or just a conference call? A conference call may be more convenient for some, and if you need someone to set it up, I will! 69.64.64.72 06:07, November 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Conference call via Skype. →L A B O R A T O R I E S 00:04, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Already have a Skype account with a subscription. Skype name is aintnohollabackgrrl. --EMC [TALK] 17:08 Nov 13 2012
My plan was to not use Skype, but to use Conversation Station. You dial the number, follow the instructions, and you're in. I can set it up. 69.64.64.72 04:24, November 10, 2012 (UTC)
- Skype is quite easier, though. And more people can easily access it. →L A B O R A T O R I E S 14:06, November 10, 2012 (UTC) (PS: you should really make an account; you seem like the type of people we want around in our forums and Pee Reviewing)
Hey
- As always I am totally in support of an Uncyclopedia convention, even though I know it will never happen realistically because not many of us can afford to travel. I would like to point out that the idea of us putting on some kind of staged show is entirely possible: I have been producing live comedy shows for 3 years. If you all wanna come to Canada and read articles on stage, we could totally do that. -- The Zombiebaron 06:08, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds good, but we need something everypony can enjoy. I suggest Skype or something like that. -- Кıяву Тαгк Сойтяıвs 2012-11-15T23:02
- Skype. Im just warning you though...when you see my smile...you will all cum in your pants so violently you will murder everyone infront of you. Or at the very least destroy your computer. Just saying. --ShabiDOO 04:13, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm down to skype but just FYI my internet/laptop sucks balls and skype is super laggy. Also skype is just bad. We should use teamspeak. -- The Zombiebaron 06:02, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
- I had skype on my old computer, but I'll need to re-download whichever client we decide to use onto my new computer. The old one is quite broken. -- Simsilikesims(♀UN) Talk here. 07:21, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
- Skype, definitely. My webcam part is broken, but that doesn't matter, as Skype only allows calls with more than one video stream at once to premium users. So I'd just be screaming at everyone, without flipping them off. →L A B O R A T O R I E S21:41 16 November 2012
- Hahahaha. The only people I know with such disaster computers and laptops are uncyclopedians. I kind of feel like Im the only one with a laptop that turns on hahaha ... and I'm poor. Does that make me special? --ShabiDOO 02:29, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
- I actually received a shitty computer, and in a three-year period turned it into a fucking supercomputer. (also, all the parts I got were free from a friend of mine who fixes computers and is allowed to take parts the owners don't want). So, yay. →L A B O R A T O R I E S15:07 17 November 2012
- Team speak is way better than Skype. You don't need someone to host a call, and therefore there is much less lag. Also the interface is more like IRC instead of the goofy crap that is Skype. -- The Zombiebaron 16:42, November 17, 2012 (UTC)
