Humour:	5	The actual content was quite funny, if the reader got past the red links.
Concept:	6	Concept is quite good, and can be developed well with humor and good images.
Prose and formatting:	3	Way too many red links. Otherwise formatting is ok.
Images:	6	Pretty good, although the 'route' image looks like it was knocked up in Paint and could be improved. If you suck at potatochopping (like me), just use a normal image and give it a funny caption.
Miscellaneous:	5.5	Most of the problem lies with the red links. Remove them and everything will be good.
Final Score:	25.5	Removing the red links is definitely a first step. It makes the page much more enjoyable to read. Change the route picture. Seek to add more humor to the article.

My thoughts are kinda the same as before, this article has some jokes but not quite a solid, coherent concept. I guess we gotta "tighten the screws", sorta. I'm sorry that I don't have something more specific to help get this up to FA quality, but we gotta remember something. Wikipedia has an extensive series of interstate articles because they serve Wikipedia's "purpose": providing everyone with "information/knowledge". Our purpose is to provide everyone with comedy and entertainment. Interstate articles, in general, don't really have the same opportunities for us to mock the subject as articles about celebrities, politicians, etc. I'm not sure we'll ever have a featured interstate article, and that's okay. I do have one suggestion, similar to what Hipponias said in the pee review, just replace the first image in the infobox with Wikipedia's equivalent. I'm also gonna go ahead and change a caption in another image to something funny. MrX blow me 20:43, 13 February 2021 (UTC)

@MrX: No because that requires a template redesign, not really worth it especially as it would involve a 3rd party. A big reason why Interstate 278 has failed and has been deleted. Well Uncyc does not have the same article standards as Wikipedia, but I'll try my best.

The first thing I noticed is that the table is a bit too wide, but I've fixed that by replacing it with an infobox. The interstate template is full of red links and I think it should be removed (and the template deleted). Although the article is certainly long enough it needs some solid humour and some trimming. I'll do this right now (might take a while). First sentence is mildly funny...but needs to be augmented with an even funnier add on sentence. You've set up the joke about the parking lot...go further with it. The second sentence paragraph in the lead should be cut. Self-referential stuff (uncyclopedia) is rarely funny and if you do add it, then it must be entirely relevant to the article and insanely funny. In the history section there is no concept. It's just a mishmash of ideas. Before you write or rewrite an article its an extremely good idea to have an over all concept of the article. Is it going to be a dry wikipedia like telling of obvious facts with irony thrown in? Are you going to juxtapose the past and the present all together? In this section alone you have just about everything which makes it undisciplined and confusing. Will it be one long absurd surreal article as though the hiway is on another planet? Having one concept is essential...you can also mix a second in there...but having more than two just dilutes the article and makes it a hodgepodge of silliness. You have the surreal hiway to Brazil, the mix of the old and new with the founding of the colonies, the dirty toilet humour, the invention of a WWIII and the randomly saying lots of stuff are stupid (like Philadelphia being the worst city). That is a LOOOOOOOT of concepts all in only one single section. Also...just calling things stupid isn't funny in itself (and should be done sparingly) and you should explain why the things are stupid. Why is Philadelphia stupid? What does that have to do with the Hiway? Try to be original when you use toilet humour. There are tons of articles that call something kaka. Try to add kaka in a novel way like talking about bird poop on the hiway or people taking a pee on the side of the hiway (that is of course only if toilet humour is an essential part of the article's concept). The next section is pretty much the same. You throw in political critique, the absurd daemon cars, hiways fornicating and the etymology of a city. Again that is a lot of concepts. Try to pick one (and at most two) and make the entire article ALL about that. You then go through the various states and make random jokes that aren't really developed. At least here there is a concept (how the hiway changes as it goes through the states which at least is a unified idea which could possible work as an article). Only problem is none of the jokes are really developed. Its one thing to just say "Nobody cares about the state...not even the people in it". But that is just the set up to a joke. Where do you go from there? Like for instance: "Nobody cares about the state as they are all jealous of North Carolina's superior asphalt and major airport hubs. The whole state suffers from transportation inferiority and it shows through the amount of dangerous potholes and abandoned signs. They want to join North Carolina to make a super Carolina (with a super hiway) but America doesn't want to go back to the 49 star flag" That might not be super helarious (I just made this up) but its an example of how you can take something mildly funny and turn it into the set up and extend it into something funnier. The Canada section has potential. It's true that Canada doesn't even have one continuous four lane hiway from one ocean to another (something they are kind of embarassed about cause they honestly cannot afford it for a country of only 35 million people spanning 5000km. There are long sections where it is just two lanes. That's great content for another joke. But I think that should only be done if you know what the full concept of the article is (which I don't think you do). Randomly laughing at little details of things and basically saying half of it is stupid, just isn't as funny as fully developing the jokes, having an over all concept or two and finding novel and creative ways to make light of stuff. This requires putting thought ahead of time into the article (it requires a little less time to plan over time when you gain experience writing). I would say...at this point, you should put at least half as much time into planning and conceptualising the article as you do actually writing it. ShabiDOO 15:36, 15 February 2021 (UTC)

To clarify, I added the section about demon cars and the gates of hell. Also, I believe that an article can have different types of humour in it, as a good single continous parody or satire for this subject may be impossible. I have removed and cleared up some of the more random bits, and I'm gonna work on it more in the future. Random humour is fine. But things that come out of nowhere should still fit within the concept of the article. The daemon car could be a great addition within a conceptual framework (and its not even outside of the spirit of the article) however the article desperately needs some discipline. And yes, if you look at the cream of the cream of uncyclopedia, you'll find there is a clear concept from beginning to end in nearly every single article. Aleister, Leverage, TFK, Guildenstern, BlackFlamingo, Xamralco...they all had (have) unity and obvious direction in their articles. That doesn't mean a straight jacket that limits humour or creativity, but it does help unify the article. Random humour can easily be accommodated within any concept...but again...there is still a concept (even if that concept is just "the history of the hiway" or "a dry wikipedia copy with humour injected"). I think I've maybe read only two articles on this wiki that is pure random humour that were good, because literally every single joke was off the wall hilarious (and even then there was a theme to the article). The point is Gale, if you want to rewrite this article to get it to a featured state...you really need to know what you are doing with it before you edit it. Make some decisions. Is it going to be political commentary, making fun of the states it goes through? the story of a hiway being built? How the hiway changes from state to state? Why it was built, who funded it and it's current state (its history) etc? Or a dry seemingly wikipedia article? Pick one (or maybe two of those) and go with it. And if you do make fun of the states, make the jokes more dimensional (extend the humour beyond the "this place sucks" thing). ShabiDOO 17:42, 15 February 2021 (UTC)

Gale5050, I think that creating more articles related to I-95 is the exact opposite of what Shabidoo has been trying to suggest to you. Try and put a lot of thought and planning into this article if you want this article to be improved. MrX blow me 18:25, 15 February 2021 (UTC)

If I were to contribute I'd probably butcher the shit out of it (like cut half of it at least), and then highly suggest we go with two concepts: mixing the history with a state-by-state rundown (covering the history while one state is added at a time). Sticking to the general true history of it with some absurdity added (it was made to create better transportation infrastructure) and making jokes about each of the states (though I wouldn't do a section for every single state though but combine some). It would probably be a good idea to merge them together, so all the content isn't lost. In the meantime, I will do some fixes.
