On Thursday, everyone has been working for most a week and it is still not Friday! Thursday is also the weekday when it is most common for spouses to refuse sex. It is also Thor's Day, and Thor has nothing but contempt for VFH (he prefers to get drunk and try to smash rats with his hammer). Thursday is the day that professors traditionally announce that there will be a huge exam on Monday, and calculus will be required, and you will need to remember the line of succession of the Spanish kings. Thursday is also the only weekday on which Mooses tried to lead the Children of Israel NY out of Cairo Mississippi, but his waters failed to part. So of course it's a bad day for VFH.
