Editing Ataturk page in Turkish Uncyclopedia (Yansiklopedi) is forbidden for all users. What can we do? http://yansiklopedi.org/wiki/Mustafa_Kemal_Atat%C3%BCrk --78.160.25.136 05:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that just means that it's locked, which I'm pretty sure just means that the adminatti doesn't think that the article can be improved any further, which I'm pretty sure is just fine. Sig pic.PNG Unsolicited conversation Extravagant beauty PEEING 06:29, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Ataturk is a sensitive issue in Turkey - and I think they might get in legal trouble if they actually put content that the authorities there don't like. You can have a chat with the admins there and see if you can get them the remove the protection. You can also create a good article about him here. ~Jewriken.GIF 06:35, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, you can make it here. We have no idea who he is (although his wikipedia page shows him to be devilishly handsome) and we have no class. It's win-win. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 07:03, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Is Attaturk a Turkish equivalent of "Attaboy?" If so, I don't see how a subdued cheer accompanied by a brief pat on the back could cause so much consternation...--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 11:00, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
If Ataturk is a sensitive issue, then that's what I'm calling my kids. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 11:44, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
It literally means "father of the turks". You sure you want to lay down this responsibility on your kids? ~Jewriken.GIF 13:56, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, I'm sure Mussolini will appreciate her new name. --SoIwastolazytolearnGermanic.jpg-kun "whisper sweet nothings into thine ear..." 21:01, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

So, is anyone else here against the freedom-loving and tolerant nation of Turkey entering the EU? —Unführer Guildy Ritter von Guildensternenstein 13:59, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

You can pick your EU, and you can pick your countries, but you can't pick your EU's countries. Unless you can, in which case you can disregard the above. All of it. Even the bits that I didn't write. Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 14:08, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
According to the talk page of the wikipedia article, he may have been a Crypto-Jew, a Freemason, involved in the Armenian, Assyrian, and Pontic Greek Genocides, and half-Albanian. --Mn-z 15:42, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Stop making up words! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 19:28, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, in my view, this is just like searching "human rights" on Chinese Google. It's banned so the people won't become smartasses or protesters to the Government. The government is so insecure.--Almost Sir Random Crap
It looks like an admin protected the page. --Sir Starnestommy Icons-flag-us.png (TalkContribsCUN) 19:23, Aug. 5, 2009
