Uncyclopedia is not about having an article in place just because something exists. It's about having humorous articles up. If this were deleted and the townspeople set it up again, it would just be deleted again, they would be banned shortly, and the page would be protected from creation if the problem persisted.   • Delete. We did a big nomination of templates that people felt encouraged IP's to write nonsense and vandalize pages; mostly, all of these were kept or slightly edited. However, of everything, I've always found the quote template to be the most irritating. You can tell it's an IP page from the ridiculous amount of poorly written, irrelevant quotes at the top of the page, yet they're practically never on featured pages; I can't recall ever seeing one with them. So, in lieu of deleting this (which I know will never happen), I have to ask: is there any way we can make a template unaccessible for IP or non-confirmed users?   • Delete The best articles contain lots of facts which are twisted into something fun. As a maintenance template this has no purpose and sends the wrong message. Agreed we have lots of templates which are funny enough in their own right to be great additions to the wiki, but I don't think this is one of them. I do not find it funny. Also this template does encourage random writing, and so probably has a negative effect on some editors.   • How about we change the template to a positive template, getting rid of every instance of it is too much like work. While I agree that this template should go, I don't <think> VFD is the place to deal with the issue. Um, I think Mikcy just added the VFD template. The last edit was Codeine on Nov 11, and that was reverting vandalism. The template does choose random texts, so you might saw different text, and thought it was toned down.   • Here we are again debating the value of something that has value. Putting something on VFD involves more than not getting something. This template on articles that either have too may facts (or none at all) has value. With there being some serious crap on the site - I'm talking about articles that are written without complete sentences, and very few jokes - we should be addressing those articles, not things like this. I understand your point, and I'm an anti-deletionist myself. However, this template did have a perverse effect, it was almost a "this article passes HTBFANJS, so rewrite it into complete bullocks" template.
