The link was removed to a collection of jokes[edit source]

Well, personally i liked the real jokes in all of the article, i wonder why did someone removed them, including the pictures. And what was problem with the link? Tell me plz, i dont wanna die w/o knowing a mistake --Drhlajos 21:02, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

The whole point of rewriting the RR article and deleting the old one was that the previous version was a load of shit smeared with unfunny russian reversal quotes which have been beaten to death. I'm ready smear anyone across the face of Uncyclopedia who even thinks about adding RR quotes to these pages. It's a tired, dying internet meme. Let it go. Why not go do some work instead. In Soviet Russia, Uncyclopedia's face smears across YOU!
In Soviet Russia, work does YOU!
In Soviet totalitarian Uncyclopedia, citizens say “FUCK YOU, Famine!!!”!
The perfect way to kill a meme. Just have one person say it's dead. Then that idea will spread almost as fast as the meme did. -- Kip the Egg Easter egg.gif Talk Easter egg.gif Works Easter egg.gif (See above)
Well, OK, after explanation i agree with you --Drhlajos 09:00, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Luckily for me, I looked at the old article before this was changed. I mean, what the hell? The "Bed sleeps on YOU!!" picture was funny as hell. It wasn't bad enough to be completely rewritten. Certainly it needed some work, but a lot of it was funny. Anyway, also luckily for me, the old article is to be found here: http://mirror.uncyc.org/wiki/Russian_Reversal
Get it while it lasts. --76.188.148.173 04:24, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Nietzsche as the originator of the damn jokes[edit source]

Just an idea. Nietzsche could take the heat for making up the Russian Reversal and Smirnoff accused of plagiarizing. For Nietzsche wrote: "In Feudal Russia, Abyss gazes into YOU!!!" The text was justly ignored until YS stumbled upon it and interpreted it in his own moronic way. The rest is history.

It might expand the section on the term's deprecation, which seems to be insufficiently whacked to meet Uncyclopedia standards, not to mention that it is actually informative, which is a no-no. I can try and come up with something, should you feel that such an addition would be chuckleworthy. --The Rover 02:05, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

You, my friend, misunderstand. Informative is not, as you say, a no-no. It's done in a humorous way, and humorous writing with facts thrown in is called satire. That's what this site is about.-Sir Ljlego, GUN VFH FIYC WotM SG WHotM PWotM AotM EGAEDM ANotM + (Talk) 02:23, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
I know that. :) Besides, for satire to work, one must be in the know beforehand. I meant to imply that the satire is not uproarious enough and that section consists of rather dull true fact instead of whacked, but funnier goofy satire. Sure, we can say that Smirnoff "got it wrong," but it's not all that funny. Maybe bringing Nietzsche in is corny, but it may up the proverbial ante a bit. It's still satire, but it further ridicules Smirnoff as stupid AND unoriginal. Plus, we can add an image of Nietzsche to the article. A black-and-white portrait of a philosopher never hurt an article. :) --The Rover 14:31, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Thomas Pynchon on Russian Reversal[edit source]

"Now you've heard about the two-hundred-mile-per-gallon carburetor, the razor edge that never gets dull, the eternal bootsole, the mange pill that's good to your glands, engine that'll run on sand, ornithopters and robobopsters -- you heard me, got a little goatee made out of steel wool -- jivey, that's fine, but here's one for yo' mind! Are you ready? It's Lightning-Latch, The Door That Opens You!"
