You all knew nothing and were nothing. The only quality you possessed was evilness. There is also proof that the majority of "white" inventions were stolen from blacks! First open heart surgery was done by a black person. The "Edison" light bulb, Ha! There were notes found some time ago proving his black assistant was the brains behind that. I will say that black people are in a sad mental state now which is why I need for them to read from such ignorance as this. My people need a definite wake up call. Blacks are innately stronger and smarter. This is why the white government has been so afraid to supply our children with the same learning tools as whites. Our children develop quicker and learn a hell of a lot faster and the smart whites know it and are afraid of it. That's why the Whole Foods Store you find on every corner in a white neighborhood is replaced by a liquor store on every corner in a black neighborhood. That's why our black and white children don't receive the same books or academic plans in school but they receive the same standardized test. That's why it's so easy for blacks to receive public assistance and that a requirement of it is that the black man cannot live in the home and the black woman receiving it cannot go to school. For starters, Africa is less advanced because they can't grow anything in the central regions, where the slaves mainly came from. They have really crap environment, and really crap survivability. Not even Einstein can think about technological advancement when he's starving all the time. The reason the European society (and Asian, Middle East etc) has infrastructure is because their environment is less harsh, and people have more free time to dream up stuff. These then develop into knowledge, and a sort of culture that future smart people can built upon. A guy can't just walk out of his mud hut and start sending people to the moon. NASA built upon knowledge by Kepler, Galileo etc. And where did Kepler and Galileo came from? From a favourable environment, where they weren't hungry and fighting malaria all the time. Racist Content in the Article

Most of this site is pretty harmless nonsense, or satire. So then to find such racist content in this article, such as the "Where To / Not To Find Black People" and "Special Notes" sections, is a little disturbing. I'd like to think that isn't the direction this site is supposed to be heading. Seeing things like "It is widely accepted that a pizza can feed a family of four more effectively than a Black man" on Uncyclopedia doen't sit right with me, and unless someone can come up with a good reason to keep it, I'm going to delete all of it. Look, what you have to understand here is that no one person wrote this article. It's been about a hundred different people coming along and changing things, adding sentences, removing sentences etc - there's no-one in particular to yell at. You know this is a "humor" site that can be edited by any lame, so you're bound to find something ignorant like this. Do not let it upset you, and don't attempt to suggest that it should be removed because it won't be. Yes, the comments are very disparaging and disrespectful, and I fail to see how any of it is funny; however, you know who you are as a black man/woman, and since the things being said are untrue, you should not let it get to you. Let the editors and those in charge of the site see that it is tasteless humor. Besides, it's not like they would say any of these things to our face. They know better.

Suggestions on Revision

The article for African-American redirects to this site as a slap in the face of unfunny political correctness. I suspect that the people editing this site contain a large number of African-Americans ready to spring at any sign of an un-scientifically accepted racial distinction due to the racial tension surrounding any issue that mentions a distinction between the black and white-skin toned races, whereas the article on “white people” was started by and will primarily have been edited by black people, as whites’ disapproval of black opinions is wholly looked down upon. The article on “white people” is not appropriate on its own, but is only so in conjunction with an analogous article on “black people”. The other way around could conceivably be done appropriately, but it would have to be handled delicately. I don’t feel like going into how I believe that could be handled appropriately.

There is a lot of black, anti-white racism in our country for the purpose of creating a degree of racial pride in the black community, as was determined to be worthwhile during the black power movement of the late 1960s. There was a huge amount of white anti-black racism up until around this period which was the root cause of effectively all the current trends regarding distinctions between blacks and whites.

More recently there has been a growing ideal among whites (driven primarily by government actions and those of African American interest organizations) of anti-racism, which has caused most whites to do such things as apologize profusely before describing a person by the color of his skin, relating scientific studies describing differences in the mating habits of men vs. women (the latter actually happened in my intro psych class yesterday - I thought it was one of the funniest things ever). A white will probably be hit over the head (metaphorically) if he uses anything like the phrase “that black guy over there is in my chemistry class” in front of a group of his white friends. If you want to see how any of us (white or black) would act naturally (without our racial history) I recommend looking to the Asians.

There is, however, a minority of the white population who still hold some of the falsified beliefs (see below) of black inferiority that gave rise to the slave trade and the racial hatred of the late 19th and [roughly] first half of the 20th century; And so, (as a white person) care must be taken not to become associated with this minority.

The reason the “white people” article is appropriate is that no individual obviously holds any of racial stereotypes referred to. In my opinion, this would just be another example of black hatred of whites unless there were an opposing article of the same character (though preferably more carefully done) on black people.

A criterion I volunteer to judge whether an statement is inappropriate is the following:

• Is it a statement that could reasonably be misconstrued as having come from a person who had any irrational aversion to black people?

This, however, could be easily interpreted differently by different people so I offer a less perfect criteria for appropriateness:

1. Is it a belief obviously held by no intelligent individual? or…
2. Is it a belief or accepted fact that does not imply a superiority or inferiority between the members of the two groups?
3. For either of the above: Is it in good humor?

An application of these criteria to the article as of March 27, 2007:

I approve of the article on Dietary Habits, because it fits both the second and (in my opinion) the third criteria. The joke is that it seems black people constantly return poetically to their history of strife during even seemingly irrelevant speeches. I’m pretty sure this has happened on family guy at least once.

I approve of the “behind you” image and the end of the page as the stereotype that black men walk the earth essentially as demons raping and murdering innocent (and pretty) white women has been wholly accepted to be true less often than it is of white men. It thus of course satisfies the first and third criteria.

The first paragraph of the first entry would be funny if its humor did not depend on a concept that has been beaten into the ground.

I fail to see what’s funny about the second paragraph of the first entry, the image where the generic human-form image was color inverted to represent humans of the black variety (analogous maybe to the distinction between white and black Go pieces), or the entry on flavor in the ethnic statistics table.

I think that the paragraph on Michael Jackson’s race deserves its own entry, perhaps entitled “Michael Jackson” or the like.

The “ritual black tribal dancers”, while a humorous observation, fails the inappropriateness criterion as it refers to the idea that black people are naturally more “primitive” than white people, an idea held by many irrational racists. It is, however, obvious that this implication was not the authors’ intent. Also, and for essentially the same reason I believe the entry on religion in the table of statistics to be inappropriate.

I approve of the image of Al Sharpton. Though I personally don’t know who he is, I find it a hysterical misinterpretation of an event whose nature I can infer.

I approve of the image of the “jolly fat man”, though I recommend it be changed to the “jolly fat black man” to have more of an educational air.

I loved the entry on “ancient history”.

I think that this article should be valuable to everyone. Its purpose, in my eyes, should be to take a swing at racial tensions. All we need is some (non-racist) white people who have some idea what the hell they’re doing and with a sense of humor, unconstrained by those black people who are out to see racists in everyone.

Some falsified beliefs regarding African Americans include that they all eat watermelons all the time, that they’re lazy, that they’re not cognitively as evolutionarily developed as white people, etc.. For curiosity’s sake, it is my opinion that these beliefs arose out of convenient misinterpretations of actions in general.

In this article I use the term stereotype to be defined by the following definition I found using Google’s “define:_______” query:

On the other hand, while the following definitions appear correct, I do not use them because the only aspect that distinguishes them from statistical tendencies or trends is a matter of interpretation. I personally consider these misinterpretations to be idiotic and a matter of ignorance of reality and so not even worth considering in most situations.

The misinterpretation originates from a misunderstanding that there exists more than an insignificant number of statements about a groups of people that can be applied to every member of that group.

I don't see racism...

I don't know if there has been massive changes to the article recently, but it seems to me that the article I'm reading isn't the one so many people were offended by, in this discussion page.

I think the actual article is funny, and not really racist at all, especially the section "What black people can do", with funny stuff like "being cool" and "eating fruits" all over it. This is just plain funny, and I don't see how it is offending. But I was very disappointed when I realized that the page couldn't be edited. I can see why, though, because this discussion made me realize that there are still many racist people out there, and it is such a shame.

It is sad that it can't be edited just because people would come back to fill it up with racist stuff, because I'd really like to edit the page, adding some funny un-harming stuff like :

"Strangely, not ALL of a black person's skin is black. In fact, their palms are covered with white skin. While that matter has been widely debated by Mormons, South-Americans and Son-of-a-Bitches, giving some shitty reasons to the matter, it is written in the Bible that God gave Black People white palms so that they could count their pennies."

Crappy article

This article, called Black People, is centered on white people. WTF is up with that? The jokes are lame and boring, which is strange because its one of the easiest things to make fun of. It seems that are the only thing that cant be made fun of in Uncyclopedia. And that thing would suggest that being a is despicable even more than any racist can ever indicate. Truly, what could be so disgusting that it couldnt even be made fun of. Now we know: .

I'm mixed race here... And indeed not "African American". I can't believe the solution to racism is more racism... I think people need to read that article on being funny and not stupid again. Also note that black people went though years of slavery and that wasn't the only thing that has kept minorities down. Now there are many ways that you can do a funny article on black people without being racist. I'm not saying you have to step around these things... But flat out racism is just stupid. Also note that stupidity can be racist... Without intention of it. Meh, simply look into some history about these things, k? Cause most of the people posting barely know what they are saying. Stereotypes are okay as long as they are used right... And try googling this stuff before posting it here. Maybe even think about actually changing the "white people" one too and see what you can manage to make funny by using them in conjunction. But in my opinion, this conversation page is more racist than the actual article itself. I'll probably be coming back to do some editing myself (busy with Asian at the moment) but I'm sure you can pick up on some things that can actually be made funny.

On the issue of not going back

I think there should be a section on the theory that once you go black you never go back. Some of the issues I would like adressed is the fact that Spider Man went black and then went back, the fact that Micheal Jackson (God bless his soul) never went black but was instead born black and is therefor irrelevent to the Back in Black theory, the fact that assuming this theory is correct the USA will never have another president of non-African desent, the fact that the guy from Tropic Thunder went black and then went back, and perhaps thefact that the colour Burnt Sienna has similar proprerties to Black. I would like to write this section myself however it is my bedtime so I cannot. I will try to write this section after I get home from school tommorow if someone already hasn't but I must be fair to warn you though: I will most likely not do as good a job as you.
