Appreciate It

Thanks for expanding upon the Eric Cantona article, man, funny stuff.--Liberace 19:04, 5 November 2006 (UTC)User: Liberace

thanks for the appreciation, i dont know whether to get rid of the cantona vs yoda and vader bit. what do you think? Braydie 19:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Up to you with the Yoda bit, I feel its perfectly fine.--Liberace 19:14, 5 November 2006 (UTC)User: Liberace

alright i'll leave it there, cheers for the insight. if it comes under pressure again, then i think some more battles will have to be added :P Braydie 19:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Curious

What happened to Upside down? You blanked your own page? And pee review too? Mrthejazz 00:01, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

i dont think its going to work, and ive been told it has been done before, unless you've got a way of doing it and flipping the whole article upside down. --Braydie 00:05, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I just had an idea. 1) Make the article short enough to be the size of one screen. 2) Take a screen shot. 3) Use photoshop to turn the image upside-down 4) Upload the image and then paste it inside your article.

ooh, didnt think of that, ill have to write the article normally then. thanks --Braydie 00:10, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

No problem. Best of luck to you! Mrthejazz 00:11, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Ah, she's beautiful. If only there was a way to blank out the title section. Maybe an experienced wiki editor or admin can help you. Mrthejazz 00:33, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

yeah she is, much credit to you though, yeah that is a shame, hopefully the admins will notice it or something so they could give their insight. another thing i cant get round is that the links don't work, but i think its pretty good as ive only been on here for 3/4 days :D --Braydie 00:38, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to UnNews

Welcome to UnNews, and thank you for contributing some crap. For a very quick introduction to the ins and outs, please take 30 seconds to read Help:How to write an UnNews article. Please note that proper formatting of an articles title has only the first word (after UnNews:) and proper nouns capitalized. The second offense of this cardinal rule gets your ass banned. Heh, just kidding... maybe.

Also, a perusal of HowTo:Tune up an UnNews article may help you sink to the average level of UnNews mediocrity, and go on to fame, fortune, and celebrity. Cheers! Zimbuddha.jpg Rev. Zim_ulator (Talk) I am the dirt under your rollers 00:09, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

P.S. - There's two audio files you can use for the intro and at the end of your audios, if you wish (I think I'm still the only one who uses is at the end, but you can do as you like). They're File:UnNews Jingle American.MP3 and File:UnNews Jingle British.mp3.

You did a great job on your first. It's uploaded to podcast, and you're officially welcomed as an audio cretin on the main news page. Rev_zim thanks you for suffering

Thankyou --—Braydie 09:56, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, thanks for the welcome. But I'm now off. I was working on a spin off article from the beer article called Goat lactation when it was deleted without a message. I continued to work on it, when it was tagged - again without a message - as being of no redeeming value. I don't like such behaviour. I left Wikipedia because of people doing that. I don't understand the lack of communication. The lack of support. The lack of patience. And the lack of a sense of humour! Wow! What a welcome! What a prat!

Thanks for your welcome. But I have no time for a website which has members who behave like the other guy. It's too irritating.

Hey

Thanks for the welcome. However, I find myself in need of assistance, and since you were the one to welcome me, I thought "why not just ask this person?" Ok, so ive created an article on a person. Obviously, since I'm a n00b, it sucks, but I recently discovered that I forgot to capitalize the person's last name when I initially created the article (yesterday). I'm having a problem moving the article so I can capitalize their last name...it says I must be logged on, but I am. I don't really know what to do from here. Yeah. Is it possible to gain some advice from you? Thanks... BabiesTasteGood 23:30, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Hmm, well I'll have a look, is your article Chad smith? If it is I'll move it for you. As for the not being able to move it, I'm not sure why that is. It could be a one off, but if it happens again, contact me. --—Braydie 23:38, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Howdy, Braydie

I've been contributing for a few days now, pretty much continuously since I found the site. A couple days ago another admin huffed a piece I wrote called National Nigger Day. Frankly, I don't think he got the joke. It was American social commentary and he's a Brit. Now, don't get me wrong, Brits are, on average, a lot funnier than us Yanks, but there is a cultural divide. Now, I'm all for the forest fires and I understand their use, but there was no discussion, no talking about it, just straight huffing and I'm a little pissed. What can I do? -Super90 at 05:32, 6 December 2006

If you can find the Admin that deleted it, you could ask them, but there's not much I can do if it's been huffed as I don't have sysop privileges. Good Luck! --—Braydie 07:49, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Don't know things

I asked Mhialle a while ago and I kind of need an answer some what soon so, I would like to figure out how to make the silly awards here [[1]] and advanced user page things and since you're an admin, I figured I could ask you to find out the basics for this kind of stuff. --J. Fuckin Kyle 02:12, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

:D well first off I'm not an admin, but I'm very flattered that you thought I was :). But, the good thing is I do know how to make those silly awards. I'm not sure what you mean by the user page things, do you mean Userboxes?

Well to start all you have to do is to create a new subpage to your user page. Just type in "User:J. Fuckin Kyle/award" (for example) into the search box. Then create the page. Then you could just look around the other awards and copy the code for them (people don't mind if you use their code), then edit it to make it your own. Then when you want to give it to people just add "{{User:J. Fuckin Kyle/award}}" to their page. If your still unsure on what to do, just send me another message. Hope I could be of help.

(If you want me to help with the page, again just message me.)--—Braydie 15:35, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Ok, the Userboxes were those were the pages things I mentioned earlier. Thanks for helping me out with the awards and userboxes. I would actually like to know how to make an award from scratch, and if you can help some more I'd be very thankful --J. Fuckin Kyle 14:09, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, with the awards, if you want to make an award that you want to give out to people, for example the cookies. You can create your own. You can just copy the code of an existing award by going to edit, then you change the bits that you want. To change the original cookie template the source can be found here (Don't save your changes there) Just copy the whole thing into your own page, then get experimenting. --—Braydie 16:13, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the help. --J. Fuckin Kyle 14:14, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Well for the time being, I'm fine and with some help from Mhaille I was able to make this, which is a new award that you have:

Hey, the admin said Outso was deleted because it broke our Vanity Policys. I didn't see the article myself, what was it about? --—Braydie 16:31, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

You and QVFD

Okay, so high five for posting on QVFD! (I'm not sure if anyone has thanked you yet, and I know nobody ever thanked me). Anywho, I notice that you added New Westminster, even though it is a) a long enough article to pass QVFD and b) already had my ICU on it. I'm not sure if this is confusion on your part, or wether you willfully poted it realizing that it was long and gonna die in 7 days anyway. But yah...I doubt QVFDing that article will make a diffrence, cause its long enough to live 7 days, but short enough for a {{ICU|~~~~~|sub=short}}. Thanks again, --Sir Zombiebaron 19:01, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Well it was probably me not concentrating. But didn't I get it onto QVFD before you ICUed it? I got it the minute it was created, then you tagged it 5 mins later (I think). But anyway yeah, I see where your coming from. I think I just saw "NOW THAT EXPLAIN ALOT DONT IT, IDIOT. ne wayz," and automatically QVFDed it. Thanks --—Braydie 19:11, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Heh. Yah, it would rather stuff like that got deleted quickly myself, but we have to be nice to authors who can sit down for 2 minutes and hammer out more then a line of tripe before hitting the save button, by letting them know before we kill it. You seem to have gotten a taste (the conversation above this) of noobs coming around to talk pages wondering where their work went. Anywho, keep up the good work chum. --Sir Zombiebaron 19:18, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah I agree, but sometimes you can just tell when nothing else is going to happen to an article :D. You too, I always see you doing stuff around here. Thanks for coming to talk to me (I was bored before). --—Braydie 19:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh for sure, you can always tell the "I'm never coming back to this website ever, even though I just made an article" types, and that's why NRV/ICU works. The real challenge is finding the old crappy articles, because frequently only 1 or 2 things link to them and nobody tagged them with anything! --Sir Zombiebaron 19:29, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Heh yeah. I'm still looking around for them. When you tag it, it also brings attention to it, because it's got a big "+ICU (7 days until execution)" Then (in theory) the people watching Recent Changes will see it, then they will edit it until it's really really good. But that hardly ever happens. --—Braydie 19:33, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
I would edit pages to make them funny, cause god knows there are plenty to choose from, but I'm not that funny (as you can see for yourself). --Sir Zombiebaron 19:40, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
I don't like editing other people's stuff, unless I'm 100% sure on what the concept behind it is, and what the author's intention is. --—Braydie 20:03, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Could you lend me a hand on this?

Strike thee with thy own christmas card, I shall. By the way, is it still only available at Tesco, or are they in all supermarkets now? -- Paw print.jpg 21:56, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Ahh thanks, and yes the other supermarkets have caught on, merry christmas. --—Braydie 12:32, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Pee Review

All right, about Separation Issues. Nice and Brit (I love your country's music, humour, beer and - this I discovered yesterday - cheese). The article requires high attention span - maybe more images or subdivisions would lighten it up if you want to. It's nice when read as a whole, but misses a little the punch line - and the dark humour - in the middle. Maybe you can stitch the marriage stuff since the beggining of the article, as it appears to be a little out of place when you mention it by the end. In sum, it's good as it is, you may change what I mentioned above if it concerns you to be more, let's say, "accessible". -- herr doktor needsAcharge Rocket.gif [scream!] 19:55, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Merry Chrimbo, my arse.
Also, notice that I regurgitated your template in Tesco Value version. -- Hindleyite Converse?pedia 13:48, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Haha, I put my one on your talk page. --—Braydie 14:13, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Xmasmoosewreath.png Nothing says [[Insert religious or pagan holiday of your choice]] like getting drunk with a moose. So this year, why not savour a treasured Canadian tradition with a bottle of hooch, horns, hooves, and hypothermia? The drinks are on me. ~ Todd Crown Royal.jpg

No demands here. Have a happy holiday if you so choose, or, rebel by dumping boiling oil out of your second story window to silence those irritating carolers. It's messy, but it works, and moats just take too long to dig. --Sir Todd GUN WotM MI UotM NotM MDA VFH AotM Bur. AlBur. CM NS PC (talk) 17:05, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
