At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Rainalot/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If you want to write and don't know where to begin, consider contributing to Uncyclopedia's current colonization of the week, a group writing project to improve a single popular article. Anyone is welcome to contribute, so come help out!

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

Swine Flu Unnews

Hya, I've moved that article into your personal space and it can't be found here. And here is why:

1. It's very short. We might allow a longer grace period with main space articles - but Unnews have a very short life span, so if they're not ready - we don't put them in the main space.
2. It seems to me it's a vanity article, that will only appeal to a very small group of people who live in thet town in Wales.
3. You've placed a lot of irrelevant templates and links on the article - especially the interwiki links (which essentially say you have versions of this article in other language wikis).
4. You've signed the article - which we don't do.

So what do you do next? I suggest reading BGBU and HTBFANJS, this will help you understand better how this place works. Also, try to read some Unnews pieces to see how those are usually written. If you need help - drop me a line on my talk page. Thanks. ~ 10:57, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Hya Mordillo! Here I am again. Time flies - no matter what one is doing but I want to improve my entry and submit another item of UN-news shortly. I do not want to take that door you mention in your welcome! I guess, the articles get better and funnier once you, ehm, I understand the formatting. Thanx a lot for your feedback. Sheepish - from Wales - thanks! I do not take myself here seriously either, and I enjoy havving a cuppa of a good brew reading the Uncyclopedia. Until a few days ago I did not know about it.
