Spelling rules that nobody cares[edit | edit source]
Yes, it is just English to Cyrillic, but the author of this article doesn't care about those rules.
В, Б, Ь or Ъ[edit | edit source]
There are four letters that make the B sound, and they are used interchangeably, meaning that you can choose whichever you want.
B as in "This sentence has none of that letter"
Ш or Щ[edit | edit source]
Ш is used before consonants and Э, and Щ is used before other vowels.
Е or Э[edit | edit source]
Э is used after Н, Ш, S, Р, Б and В. Other times, use Е.
Х or Ж[edit | edit source]
Х is only used at the beginning of words. Ж is used in other positions and is much more common.
У or Ч[edit | edit source]
Ч is a vowel and У is a consonant. In letter combinations ay, ey, oy and uy at ends of words, use Ч.
И or п[edit | edit source]
п is never used in capital for the N sound. In lowercase, и and п can be used interchangeably.
Triple sign[edit | edit source]
З triples the letter before it. For example, АЗАЗАЗ!.
Transliterating J, Q, Z[edit | edit source]
Use the letters on the top table, or do not transliterate these letters into Яussian. For they are rarely used. If completely necessary, substitute them for the original English letters. Another method to fix this is to just not put them in, but usually Ј is substituted for Я. The Яussians would understand you even if you use them.
Exceptions[edit | edit source]
- When transliterating the word xi into Яussian, Ж is used.
- Normally, you apply the triple signs from left to right; "ВЗЗ" becomes "ВВВЗ" which then becomes "ВВВВВ". But when interpreting "АЗЗ!", you can apply them in any order, which would often give you many many more А's than you want.
