Forum:What does WAAOU stand for?
I guessed "We All Acknowledge Our Understanding", but someone told me I was wrong. Please, can someone tell me what the hell WAAOU stands for? And don't give me any b.s., and you know what I mean. --Señor DiZtheGreat CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 18:02, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

- From what I saw out of Google, it seems to be like the French equivalent of "Woohoo!", so Braydie was right. --~

21:08, 4 April 2007 (UTC)- Jacques is correct, actually - the French consider "wow" and "woo-hoo" to be low-class American slang words, and they don't like the idea of importing Americanisms into their language. So "Waaou" is just their own version of the same thing, which is really kind of stupid when you think about it. c • > • cunwapquc? 06:14, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

The Paranoiac's Theory of WAAOU
WAAOU is is moronic IRC joke that gives those who are "in" (i.e. the Cabal) a pants-wetting laugh, while the rest of us are left in the dark, which makes it even funnier. The combined funniness of a moronic in-joke with the hilarity of others' ignorance gives those who are "in" a hernia, making them part of the We Are Asininely Overt Uncyclopedians group. Notice the recursive nature of the joke, making it even funnier. --The Acceptable Cainad (Fnord) 01:37, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

- Indeed. Many have tried to stop the French and their horrible WAAOUing. Few have succeeded, though. The moral of this story is, "never try". --Whhhy?Whut?How? *Back from the dead* 22:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
