Thanks to 'wacky IRC nonsense' there are now 4 poopsmiths… (and other admins who also take part) obviously this is not really in the sites interest, with such a large amount of old timers with ‘titles’ we really need to keep this to a minimum. Usually Mordillo would have sorted this, but sadly is absence is painfully felt in matters such as this. There are too many people involved here in 'smiphery and the ranks of titles needs trimmed down in general.

I would like to propose the creation of two new smiths that are officially given the job – these should be normal users and not admins. In order to do this, I recommend that all the smiths are struck off, including myself, and an admin only vote for these two is begun. It should be straightforward and put an end to the nonsense that has been going on, not only in the lounge, but also throughout VFD, QVFD and Ban Patrol.--Sycamore (Talk) 08:24, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

Syc, the general agreement was that we needed another poopsmith after Lyrithya got admin powers. I wanted to be one simply because I enjoy seeing my name against an orange background. Dexter and EMC are both competent to do the job and I don't see any reason to stop them doing it simply because there are two of them.

In terms of titles and ranks, surely that's a harmless addition to the site? I do not feel that being an admin makes me any better than you nor does being a poopsmith make you better than a user who isn't, all it is is a way to recognise commitment to the wiki through an additional role and responsibility. Plenty of newer users have arrived at Uncyclopedia and accepted that other people having more responsibility is a result of them being here longer and have worked hard to be considered for that responsibility themselves. I certainly don't think a vote is necessary on these matters. I am also unclear as to the nonsense you mentioned, surely a larger number of people being permitted to archive these pages is not that much of a problem.
