The Pee Review guidelines needed some work. They basically said that any review was ok, as long as you were nice. Now, being nice in a review is important, but writers want to know how they can improve their page. So, the Pee Review guidelines have been reworked to be more helpful and complete. I'd like to say I was a part of it, but I just added a little and tweaked here and there. Most of the work was done by Cajek and MrN9000. So, what do you think? - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 19:00, Dec 8

It's a good set of guidelines, but it's rather long. Does the average n00b who wants to make him/herself useful by doing a review want to read something that massive? Perhaps making it a bit more concise would help. After all, it's new people who are gonna be reading it, and they might not necessarily have the attention spans for a guideline page that long. --THE 19:43, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Agreed, it is rather long. We tried to make it so that the more important issues were covered towards the top, and went into more detail later on... Could you recommend what we should take out? MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 19:50, Dec 8
I'm going to have to second that, it's way to long. It's just Pee Review, not HTBFANJS. Better than before, but it should be much shorter--Æ 21:41, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Personally, I'm of the impression that, if someone can't sit down and read those guidelines, they really aren't ready to do a helpful pee review. Reviews take a lot of insight and focus to help out the author, and the least someone can do is sit down and read the guidelines. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 19:57, Dec 8
Second. Illiterate bums are not who we want reviewing the articles. Illiterates are generally frowned upon anyway, since they can't read or type. Bums are more acceptable (*cough*), but don't often give up the time for a good review. If you don't have the time to read a simple set of guidelines, then you certainly don't have the time to go in-depth in a review. I think this could be splited into subpages like the Begginer's Guide, anyone agree?--Æ 00:52, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Led - if you can't read through those helpful guidelines, you're not the kind to give a decent review. I wish we'd had something like that when I did my first couple of hesitant reviews. Good job Cajek and MrN9000! --Sir Under User (Hi, How Are You?) VFH KUN 19:51, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
agreed. there's been a few times when i got a review of something like 49.8 from someone with no detail, and then have four other people tell me that it sucks. following these guidlines will help impove pee review greatly. also, the queue has been way down lately, possibly due to people striving for that RotM and giving useful reviews. --SirGerrycheeversGunTalk 00:55, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
...I have already been following the guidelines. Even before you revised them. I like to think they are model reviews. Hans Johnson as in "keep ya hans off my" (cover your eyes!) 01:47, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes, and you're not alone. Many users have been giving great, helpful reviews. But, there have been dozens of reviews that consisted of "Yeah it was ok but make it funnier and add pics kthxbai". That's why we wanted to fix up the review guidelines. - P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon Baloon.gif(Tick Tock) (Contribs) 01:55, Dec 11

The Main Pee Menu

Ahh! I was about to just make a comment on advertising the guidlines a little better on the main pee page, but I see TheLedBalloon just beat me too it. Thanks Led. I was also wondering if it might be worth doing something about:

For me, when I first went into pee-review I clicked on "Help" on the right expecting to find help on pee-reviews, but it actually takes you to the main help page. I am obviously completely blind, but I wonder if the "Help" button is really helping here. Would it be a good idea to remove it? Or perhaps label it "Main Help" and call the guidelines button "Pee Guidelines" MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 21:37, Dec 8

I was nice enough to write the help section and that solves the mysterious question.--Æ 20:27, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
Nice AE. I changed HELP to say FAQ now, but I think you have done a good job there. I think this issue is resolved. MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 18:37, Dec 10
