Revision as of 23:12, 1 October 2006

  • Nominate an image you find excellent. Use {{vfp|image=Imagename.jpg|size=123px|name=The Nominated Image|caption=Blabla '''[[link]]''' |credit=ImageCreator|score (optional)}}. Make sure you sign your votes with ~~~~ or the "your signature with timestamp" button on the edit screen.
    • You may nominate up to two of your own images per week. No more. You can nominate as many images by other people as you want.
    • Voting: use "For" or "Against" (or some clear iteration) in bold type to specify your vote. Comments are allowed, but excessive discussion/argument is not. Use the image's talk page for that.
    • Please submit only ORIGINAL IMAGES to VFP. Images from elsewhere on the internet can be used on articles, but will not be featured.
    • Unmanipulated as well as photoshopped images are allowed as long as they are original.
    • When nominating an image, you may place {{VFP}} on the image page.
  • Do not remove or archive nominations. Loser admins will see to that.
  • You can see all previously featured images here, or on the archived voting pages: 1, 2, 3, 4.
  • To vote on previously featured images, use Uncyclopedia:PFP.
  • Please read HowTo:Get Your Image Featured before nominating your own image. You are also encouraged to submit your image to Image Review for peer opinions before you list it on VFP.
  • Also, please remember we are trying to feature images, not tell everyone how much they suck. Take it elsewhere, and instead of pissing and moaning, nominate a picture you like.
Hitlerbear reminds you to focus on quality.

Current nominations

  • New nominations on top, votes start with *, add --~~~~ after your vote, please.

Imperialism

Though the United States' new strategy in Iraq has proven effective at routing insurgent rebels, it has done little to relieve the stigma of what many perceive as American imperialism.

*Conditional For - the flags are the wrong way round. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 12:28, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Comment. No they aren't. Flags are supposed to be backwards. I can't find a link for vehicles, but this explains it for uniforms.--Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 12:32, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Ok, but the flag on the front vehicle is a bit, well, wonky. For anyway. ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 12:38, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Strong for. It looked good in its first incarnation; it looks even better now.--Procopius 12:36, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Comment Is there any idea for the article yet? ~ Ghelæ talkcontribs 12:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
I stole it (Well, Mhaille stole it for me) for my article A Tour of Baghdad. I think it works well there. --Sir ENeGMA (talk) GUN WotM PLS 19:25, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • For, this is a terrific picture.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 14:25, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • For. If I didn't love this picture, I wouldn't have helped it grow into what it's become! Rad 15:58, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • For "Imperialisim" heh... --The Zombiebaron 16:10, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

  • For If it's good enough for my article, it's good enough to vote on. --Sir ENeGMA (talk) GUN WotM PLS 19:25, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • For --Mosquitopsu 20:40, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Yay The flags are backwards (intentional?), a change in opacity would have helped and a distort transformation would have made it art. But still good. -- NewMess1ah 21:58, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
    • Comment If you read the above comments (and the previous ones at the Reefer Desk) you'll see that it was indeed intentional, as flags are backward on the right side of all American vehicles.--<<Bradmonogram.png>> 00:55, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
  • For. --Uncyclon - Do we still link to BENSON? 01:23, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Against Okay, I like this image, I really do. But those flags are bothering me - not the backwardness, but the pasted-on-ness. Fix those and I'll at least retract this vote and maybe vote for. —rc (t) 01:25, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
  • FORLOL!!!!--Image8.jpgPrivate First Class Nappoleon V Talk Decorations02:31, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

  • Comment Although normally I'd feature this image tonight, because it's been posted on VFP for such a short time I'm going to give it another day to accrue votes (which will be to its benefit in the long run). —rc (t) 06:13, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
