At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Tasmania/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Thanks for your recent edits around the place. However I'm going to ask you to avoid adding the {{construction}} to other peoples articles for a while until you figure out a little more about how things work around here. New article maintenance

Is alright by me. The same one people usually do most of it anyway so it's nice that you're around now to give them a break. When you get ideas to write, then write, but 'til then feel free to keep helping out in other areas. Bottom line, as I see it:

• {{ICU}} anything that looks substandard and is under 7 days old
• Let the authors themselves use Construction/WIP; just don't worry about this at all. It just complicates things.
• QVFD anything that, like, super super sucks under 7 days old.
• Tag anything older than 7 days that you think is awful with {{VFD}} and start the appropriate vote on the VFD page. Remember that page has a 20 article limit though.

Can you please stop creating talk pages for anonymous users, rather than asking them to stop vandalizing (which they probably won't), take it toUncyclopedia:Ban Patrol to request a ban (you can also report shitty articles to Uncyclopedia:QuickVFD), just follow the directions and you can't go wrong. Yes, use Uncyclopedia:QuickVFD for new crappy articles. If its old and crappy you may use VFD. Consider reading our Deletion policy. ~Sir Frosty (Talk to me!) 06:37, February 27, 2012 (UTC)

About the IP switcher...

This guy seems to have a dynamic IP address (aka an IP that changes). He can easily get it by unplugging his modem/router and plugging it back in again. GG • iTalk • iEdit 22:14, February 27, 2012 (UTC)

Now that you mention it, I just looked at the IPs in more detail. I put them into http://whatismyipaddress.com and they all seem to have popped up as Romanian proxies. Some routers can change IPs pretty quickly but not as quick as a proxy, like that guy. GG • iTalk • iEdit 22:32, February 27, 2012 (UTC)

Welcoming users

Subst: the welcome template in there, rather than just putting the template on there. There are three reasons for this: 1) If someone vandalizes the template, it won't show up on everyone's userpage. 2) If you don't, the BASEPAGENAME templates wont work. Good to see you around

And good to know you like the site. Don't mind the people who yell at you or are short tempered, we all can be like that (Here, I'll show you: FUCKIN' JUMP OFF A BRIDGE AND DON'T PASS GO!), and I don't even know what that means. Keep on trying new things, and what you've been doing is nice (except fixing someone else's signature, which will get you yelled at).
