Imperial Colonization invades your space[edit source]
I came here to spy on IC's new competition, only it appears this group plans to work from the opposite end of the spectrum from Imperial Colonization. We're on the Infrared end of revitalizing burned out articles, and this is on the Ultraviolet end before the first spark is lit. (Get it--Infrared and Imperial, and Ultraviolet and Upsilon. It takes serious brains to notice these things). Maybe someday we'll meet in the middle, and have a party or something.
You might want to check Uncyclopedia:Requested Articles. I think MadMax has a list somewhere of people who write a lot of requested articles. I don't remember where it is, but you might want to ask him.
By the way, I just noticed Megaman is 38 on the list with just short of 51 links, and Mega Man is 51 on the list with 38 links.

Why can't girls play?[edit source]
I saw this on Pee Review. Why is this just brothers? I wrote a few requested articles even ones that were huffed and even got one featured! I am the unhuffing mistress! DAP Dame Pleb Com. Miley Spears (talk) 05:27, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

Points[edit source]
I'm not complaining this is just a question. But why do you get four points if you write an article with other people but only two points if u write one yourself? DAP Dame Pleb Com. Miley Spears (talk) 22:52, April 2, 2010 (UTC)
I have a related question. I noticed that just being a member gets you two points at the beginning of each month. So let's imagine two users.
User one signs up on March 31 (as I did). This user does nothing and the next day gets two points. That user does absolutely nothing for the next 30 days, and gets two more points for a total of four points. If that user does absolutely nothing for a year, that user gets 24 points.
User two signs up on April 1 and actively participates in discussions on USS and posts ideas for developing articles and makes some templates for USS and helps write an article and provides sources and corrects grammar and spelling errors but isn't recognized as being one of the main contributors to the article. In that users first 30 days, he or she gets zero points. If that user continues to be active in the same way every single month for an entire year, that user will get 24 points, the same amount as the user who did absolutely nothing.
Could those who help with an article or USS but who aren't major contributors get something for their contributions? King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 18:32, April 8, 2010 (UTC)

Personal, selfish, self-serving question[edit source]
In IC (yes, I know this is not IC, but my term as interim head ends 17 April so I'm covering my bases), I gave a member points for Pee Reviewing an IC article even though that member didn't participate in writing the article. Just saying. I'll shut up now. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 19:27, April 8, 2010 (UTC)
- I seem to recall that you have 1,000 points, give or take a few, and that you can trade them in for gifts and bonus miles. Aleister in Chains 19:47 8 4 mmx
- This would seem to be a situation that does deserve some recognition, I suppose 2 points ought to be in order for your great services to Upsilon Sigma Sigma Why? I'll add them to the table for you. --
- I realize I should feel guilty for even asking. But I don't. Thanks. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 04:26, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

Points gripes/questions[edit source]
You're all raising some intriguing issues with the points scale, which i must admit I conjured up fairly arbitrarily. I think I'll go ahead and revise the points values in order to reflect the, well, points that people are raising about the, um, points. I'll post the stuff in the news tab. --
19:40 EST 8 April, 2010- I think you've made a good point. Seriously, like everything else on Uncyc, USS is a work in progress. The important point is that you're open to suggestions even when they come from troublemakers like me. Thanks for listening. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? Say, anybody notice[edit source]
That the first USS article Nintendo got featured? Woop woop and pass the beer keg! (That's what you say at frat parties, right?) King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 04:21, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
I keep getting lost[edit source]
I just learned there's some scorecard thing where we can add up our points (I saw HELPME's edit note which is how I saw it). Yes, I know the link was there in the box thingy, but had no idea what if was. Frankly my time here is limited and when I am here I have a zillion things to do so haven't been tracking down everything.
This isn't just for USS--when I headed IC and had to hand post messages in dozens of member pages I'd run into ones that had a "special" way to post messages on their talk page. That meant I had to spend more time on them than 10 other people. Finally I just posted a note saying if they wanted to know what was going on they could check the IC page.
But for an example about USS, I don't think it was until a week or so ago I even knew there was a USS project that had been going on for two or three weeks. I guess there's something being worked on now, right? In short, for those of us who want to get directly to what's happening without having to search for it, maybe a page could be set up that would link to everything USS and have a short definition of what each thing is. Just a suggestion. King of the Internet Alden Loveshade??? (royal court) 06:45, May 30, 2010 (UTC)
