The problem doesn't really have to do with the fact that it didn't "aligned with Uncyclopedia's established tone and direction". As a matter of fact Uncyclopedia doesn't even have a proper "established tone and direction" in the first place. The problem is that you were trying to mess with the main page without consulting with the admins first, and when you were then told to stop, you didn't. I personally belive it's a good thing Uncyclopedia is niche, because it's the reason it's a very chill place to be. websites that reach a wider audience, like Twitter or Reddit, have become toxic wastelands full of people trying to argue over the simplest of things. here, however, you don't see that kind of thing quite often. so I'd say having a smaller userbase is actually a good thing.
