Great moccasin pages[edit source]
I've seen you've listed OPOSSUM's O GREAT MOKKÁWŜEN pages at QuickVFD. I can't deny I'm surprised they've lasted that long, but are you sure they're QVFD-worthy? At the very least, I think they should be sent to VFD rather than QVFD, and get other users to decide if they can be kept as in-jokes or not. Also, I'm pretty sure they could just be moved to OPOSSUM's userspace and avoid any kind of deletion.
Btw, why did you block OPOSSUM? I'm pretty sure the user didn't have the intention to spam -and, so far, they've been doing this for several days now, and no other admin has told them anything on the matter, so it seems a bit strange to me that they get blocked for it all of a sudden. I don't know much about that user, but they seemed kinda cool, and I feel a bit bad for them. DaniPine3 (talk) 16:11, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- Please feel free to start moving them yourself, if you wish. One article on the theme is pretty-much acceptable, but 21 of them in MainSpace is becoming an annoying unfunny flood (hence, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM). Please note that VFD is only for individual articles on a case-by-case basis, and I'm not about to flood VFD itself with multiple entries. Hey, I could have instantly deleted the entire mess myself, but I decided not to act unilaterally; and I leave it to another Admin to make that decision in QVFD. The block was intended to be very short-term cool-off while this is being sorted out; however, OPOSSUM has seen fit to complain on my Wikipedia talk page, which I consider to be a serious breach of protocol. - I think there has been a misunderstunding here. You see, those 21 articles are technically the same article -Ask the Great God Mokkááwŝen. The whole point of the article was that you could search in the search bar the different articles that stared with "O GREAT MOKKÁWŜEN", and you would get different results. I think the problem here has been the execution, where OPOSSUM, rather than creating subarticles for the same article, has made different articles for what is essentially the same thing, which has made you believe was spam. If those articles were moved as subarticles for the "Ask the Great God Mokkááwŝen" - you know, moving them to the titles of Ask the Great God Mokkááwŝen/O GREAT MOKKÁÁWŜEN, CAN I EAT A MOCCASIN? and such- would they be safe from deletion? DaniPine3 (talk) 17:08, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- I was literally about to say this right now, because after taking a closer look i realized that yeah, they might appear kinda spammy as standalone articles, but subpages should be fine (at least based on the logic that they're not proper articles). I'm not sure why OPOSSUM had to be blocked though.
- Shall I do the honors? (you know, of moving the pages) DaniPine3 (talk) 17:16, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- O wait, nvm, OPOSSUM is already doing it by himself. DaniPine3 (talk) 17:18, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- Now that was, uhh... something. What the actual fuck Oᑭöᔑᔑᙀᙏ (vandalize my talk page) 17:32, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- Well, look at it in the bright side: now you get to wear a cool t-shirt that says "I got banned from Uncyclopedia and all i got was this lousy t-shirt" DaniPine3 (talk) 17:42, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- Dunno what to say to DWIII about this "accident" Oᑭöᔑᔑᙀᙏ (vandalize my talk page) 17:46, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

I thought the block was a little bit much, but Opossum hitting up DWIII’s wikipedia talk page was also a little less than cool. Opossum you could’ve posted on your talk page, the block didn’t remove your talk page access. I also have my email address written on my user page if there’s ever anything that a blocked user needs help with. MrX 19:48, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- How was I supposed to know that I could edit my own talk page when I got blocked? Oᑭöᔑᔑᙀᙏ (vandalize my talk page) 21:23, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- It says so somewhere on the block message. It might not be extremely clear that you can do that though, considering how much text there is on it.

spam filter[edit source]
I can't save changes to an edit. Apparently I'm advertising commercial content. If so, can I please get paid for that? If not, can I save changes to my edit please? – Preceding unsigned comment added by Splendidn't (talk • contribs)
- @Splendidn't: I'm pretty sure you can't get paid for that. In fact, it isn't allowed to advertise commercial content here -that's why the spam filter activates in the first place. That said, I'm curious- what are you trying to add onto your article that the filter says it's "commercial content"? Perhaps it's just a mistake by the spam filter. - It was a false positive by the abuse filter. Sorry about that. @Splendidn't: I've change your user group to confirmed user, so you should be able to make those edits now. Nice job so far, btw. MrX 22:19, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
