At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Comicat1/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome! ---- The Zombiebaron 11:47, December 6, 2011 (UTC)
A Resident Biologist?[edit source]
I saw you have been busy with some animal-related features. Apologies for posting a note on one of your pages whilst you were mid stream on Liopleurodon. If you want to ask any questions, ask them on this page. Also if you add something to your user page, your name won't show up as a broken red link. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 07:17, December 7, 2011 (UTC)
- Your article seems to be well on its way! :P Do you know how to include pictures? Mattsnow 14:38, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
Yes. - Comicat1
- Don't forget to sign your posts! It's good we have a contributor who likes to work on animal/biological subjects. Some could have feature potential. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 17:20, April 10, 2012 (UTC)
Signature fixing[edit source]
You need to create a link to your talk page. Follow these instructions (as copied from Frosty's page). Do you mean a custom signature? Create page User:Comicat1/sig and put the code in for your sig then go to Special:Preferencesand under signature type User:Comicat1/sig make sure the box underneath is checked and then click save. Once that is done, when you reply to another person on a page go to that menu, the one with the squiggle - 3rd key in from the right. Press that and your sig will appear. To make it fancier, you can look at other user page signatures and see what code they are using. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 21:33, April 11, 2012 (UTC)
Voting twice?[edit source]
Can't vote twice as I am pretty sure you are also the IP number that pops on the page history. That's 'ballot box stuffing'. I will cross through the IP vote as invalid but don't do that again. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 17:46, April 18, 2012 (UTC)
Staying Logged In[edit source]
Next time you edit Comicat, tick the box to stay connected when you enter your name and password. What happens is that you get automatically logged out which is why your IP number keeps appearing on your work. --RomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 19:06, April 20, 2012 (UTC)

Enormous Bumblebees[edit source]
I see you have a history of writing whimsical articles with fanciful titles. The only problem is that this is a fake encyclopedia and no one types fanciful titles. For example, who in the world is going to search for a page entitled Enormous Bumblebees? (Apart from the fact that we wouldn't capitalize the "B" anyway.) A better strategy is to choose a page name that people would actually look for (the list in Uncyclopedia:Requested articles might help) and bend your creativity to the service of a topic that people have actually asked for. You can use the Move tab at the top of the page to change the name of existing pages as you like. Hope that helps. Spıke ¬ 20:09 6-Jun-12
PS--Anon has now taken five hacks at your article; he inserted links, which is good, but also a good deal of randomness, which you'd be justified if you wished to undo. He also removed the {{Construction}} tag that you added, though in my view he didn't "complete" the article. Spıke ¬ 22:58 6-Jun-12
Beta Fish[edit source]
Hey. Nothing links to this page. It's a decent article, but it'll disappear into obscurity unless you do something with it. Add it to Template:Recent if nothing else. Nominally Humane! 05:06 16 Aug
Just a brief question...[edit source]
...and one of little relevance, since it doesn't really matter if "blind cats" is a link or not. Do you have any particular reason for preferring it not to be, as links obviously take people to other articles and as such are generally a good thing? Rabbi Techno kvetch Contribs FOXES 17:25, August 31, 2012 (UTC)
Foreignesia[edit source]
Hey! why create a generic fictional country to say funny things about? This being a fake encyclopedia, why not pick a real country, gloss over the Wikipedia article on it, and apply the same considerable humor to it? At the end of the day, no one is going to type Foreignesia to find out about it. By just looking at the template at the bottom of the article on El Salvador, I can see that we're missing Honduras and Paraguay! Cheers! Spıke ¬ 11:37 28-Nov-12
Moose[edit source]
It has been suggested by a new user that Horse (randomness, descending into list-cruft) could do with a repair job. Could you deal with it when you get around to it? PS--Do you ever reply to messages? Spıke ¬ 23:32 9-Dec-12
- I think Comicat's response 'yes' is his only comment on any page. Well there's no problem with that Comicat1. Let your articles do your talking. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 12:33, December 12, 2012 (UTC)
Tapir[edit source]
I have nommed your article on VFH. So don't forget to go there and vote for your own work. I know some users (like RabbiTechno ) never voted for their own articles but sadly, no one can reach that high standard these days. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 09:17, December 19, 2012 (UTC)
My god, that article is awful. I am sure a rewrite could be done up soon. It shouldn't be very difficult, considering as horses are nowhere near as evil as moose nor as enormous and scary as tapirs. - Comicat1
- You can improve it on VFH unless you want me to de-feature it there. Also Comicat, just hit the signature button to automatically add your sig. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 10:29, December 22, 2012 (UTC)
- CC, I processed your request on the VFH talk page to strike your double vote. (In fact, this was ordinary editing that you can do yourself in the future. You may have voted twice, but you didn't count it twice, which is the important thing.)
- On the article itself, I don't like the uncertainty in the intro. It's witty to say you don't know the pronunciation and it isn't really important anyway, but you brought the tapir to our attention for some reason, so--? In my opinion, the sole function of an Intro is to hook the reader to read the rest (which yours does, despite the uncertainty). The style of the article is randomness, which isn't my style, but you do it all right. But some of your longer flights of fancy make me start wondering, Where is all this going? In my opinion, those parts would be better if they delivered me to some conclusion about the tapir. Also, it isn't funny on its own to mention poop and pee (unless you're at one of those Intermediate Stages of Sexual Development); once again, show me where this is going.
- I'll vote for it if you should need one more vote,
but will hold off for now in case you do intend to do some additional editing as you say above.Spıke ¬ 14:02 22-Dec-12 - I just realized that your comment, "that article is awful" refers not to Tapir but Moose. It would have been clearer to type it at the end of the previous section, on Moose. Given that, you should ignore Romartus's offer to remove Tapir from voting. Am enthused that you might take on Moose. As for Tapir, I'll vote to feature it now. Spıke ¬ 14:06 22-Dec-12
- PS--If that wasn't you, editing Moose overnight without logging on, you are not required to retain the anonymous user's changes. Spıke ¬ 14:46 22-Dec-12
Oh, I see. I accidentally responded to the article "Horse" in the wrong section. Oops. "That article is awful" referred to horse article which I did not create, not my own articles on tapirs or moose. "Horse" is just a random nonsensical list of stupidity which I could surely improve. And I'm confused on your wording. " Am enthused that you might take on Moose." Well, I have written everything on moose and created the article, so what else is there to take on? Did you mean take on Horse? If so, I plan to in the near future after Moose is completed.
"Also, it isn't funny on its own to mention poop and pee..."
The talk about the tapir urinating is just to emphasize how boring and uninteresting the tapir is, that all it does it eat moss and sometimes pee.
And the bathroom-related information on Moose is just me thinking of the most disgusting and horrible behaviors that the moose could possibly have, since it is so evil. I think all mentions of poop and pee by me have been done tastefully and only add to their respective articles. - --Comicat1 (talk) 05:10, December 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing up my confusion as regards Tapir! Glad to see your article has gathered the votes for a feature. --RomArtus*Imperator ITRA (Orate) ® 09:01, December 23, 2012 (UTC)
I have been confused on Horse vs Moose ever since I used the one header to invite you to edit the other. It's like my first visit to the dog track, when I kept talking about the horses until I got so much ridicule that I started just referring to which "mammal" we should bet on. Spıke ¬ 09:54 23-Dec-12
The Preview button[edit source]
Comicat, another piece of advice if I might. If you press the Preview button instead of Save, you can see exactly what your edits will look like in the wiki. Then you can continue editing. That way, when you are finally finished editing, it shows up in the log as 1 change instead of many. (I see you with 18 of the last 50 changes of anyone on the wiki!) You have acquired "autopatrolled" status, so your edits are not flagged for someone else to review. But it still clutters up the listing that you are doing so many separate edits. Thanks.
